I had an issue with their 2-authentication system not sending a code in a timely manner. I let them know. They responded very quickly. It's obvious they pay attention to their customers. Refreshin... See more

Support is non-existent - used to be great - what happened? Are you all dead??

iwantmyname is the best domain registry I've ever used - no nonsense, no constant upsell, just what it says on the tin.

Like other reviews, company used to be great, now is absolutely terrible. Paid to have a domain renewed, and then they didn't actually renew the domain (literally there only job) and it got deleted. Website went down and still took them days on end to restore the domain. When seeking compensation they simply don't reply, ignore messages, etc...
Go with any other domain register.
Update to there reply below: The message below is just trying to save face in public, ive contacted support multiple times and continue to be ignored. If you actually want to do something then reply to Request #3477732.

After receiving a reminder of the expiration of my domain account I submitted a question and got a speedy and reassuring response from the team.

Had a couple of problems in quick succession, and despite being a little tardy to respond, and trouble accessing the Zendesk response service that they use to track issues, the problems were sorted satisfactorily, in the end.

These guys are slowly decimating my business due to the lack of support. I have been locked out of my account for 2 weeks, so was unable to make time-sensitive changes to my domains. As a result my primary email domain has ceased to function. No more customer emails. No more access to anything using email as 2FA. I plead daily for someone to respond, but get nothing. If I ever get help I’m moving my business elsewhere.

Zero stars really. I paid for a domain renewal in May, as usual. In July everything goes down because they forgot to renew it with Gandi (which they are apparently a reseller for). Really shocking.
Once the problem was reported, I got zero help to solve the issue. I was a customer for 12 years. Call me crazy but there isn't that much to this business- you pay, they register the domain. A domain registration company not actually registering a renewal they charge you for is really shocking.
I would give this company minus 1000 if I could. SHOCKINGLY BAD, NON EXISTENT SUPPORT.
I have not had access to my business emails for 8 days now and it is crippling my business. I am based in Sydney and thought they were in Auckland so a similar timezone, the few replies I have received are at 9pm and 11pm and on a Sunday night.
They do not read the your emails properly and come back days later with answers that you have told them don't work. As soon I can I am getting away from this terrible company but at this rate it might be a while as it seems they only have 1 technician Roy S.
The customer service team is polite, professional, and knowledgeable. Great working with them.
I love your responsiveness and professionalism.
Thank you so much for everything.
Shocking Customer Service.
These people do not respond to emails and have no phone number listed.
I paid for an available domain name and then it was registered by someone else. I got an email saying they have credited my account. I just want a refund. Impossible to get any response to my request for even that.
iwantmyname is one of the worst registrars I've ever had the displeasure of working with. The support is literally non-existent. I have filed multiple support issues regarding their failure to generate EPP Auth (transfer) codes for domains in their system and have never received a single reply. As a web developer of ~29 years it's quite possibly one of the worst support experiences I've ever seen - and that's saying something.
Have been trying to have my invoice reissued for a week now at no avail.
I had an expensive domain renewal very close to the migration of iwantmyname's platform. I needed support with accessing my account as it's not one I use often. I submitted a support request on a Wednesday that went unanswered. I then followed it up via email on the Friday before submitting another through their live chat, which wasn't answered until Sunday. The first request wasn't answered until Tuesday this week.
This lack of response from support is totally unacceptable from a company this size, and I'm glad that I have the majority of my business elsewhere. It's a pity that a company that was previously very good has been destroyed by another overseas acquisition.
On June 1 at 12:03 AM I received a renewal notice that one of my domains was going to expire next month. I received a copy of this request at 12:04 AM, then another copy at 12:05, and so forth, every minute. I submitted a request asking them to stop these emails. They didn't stop. After a few hundred, I renewed the domain (even though I didn't intend to) hoping to stop the emails. They didn't stop. I sent followups to the original request begging for an answer and to stop the emails. They didn't stop, and I received no response.
After over one thousand six hundred emails, they finally stopped. I don't know why. It has now been a week, and I have yet to receive any sort of response to my original request or to any followup.
I have asked for a refund of my renewal, and (as usual) I have received no response. Of course I will never renew any product or buy any new product with these people again. What has happened to them, that their level of support has so thoroughly gone worthless?
I received a new credit card during my renewal and didn’t realize I had to change it with the company, so my site went down. After much frustration and many emails to the support team, everything on my end has been resolved. My new card is on the site. Payment has been made. However, my site is still inactive. Email communication has been extremely frustrating and support team has not resolved this issue. My Web assistant has even emailed with no response. I want to change to another company and I cannot get the EPP code from your business in order to do that. Service and support has been Inefficient , frustrating, and unable to fix this simple issue. I am losing business because they will not unlock my site and get it active again even though I’ve paid. Poor Service. Poor tech support. Changing names and service.
Terrible experience.
