Appalling customer service
Do not bother shopping from this company. They claim they have free returns, but when you try to return an item, it turns out it is a lot more complicated than expected and a lot more hassle than any other UK-based company would cause. Their free returns might not be free at all and if they are at fault and send you the wrong item, you have to waste more time taking pictures and contacting them by phone for a 'special' different procedure of return from the one outlined on the website, which is already complicated enough. Bad customer service, wrong items sent, wasting a lot of one's time trying to organise a return, even when the company is at fault for sending a different size.

Why is it so hard to get a refund!!!!!!
Want to refund a dress bought as too large. The online refund page will not accept my order number. Says not correct. Which it is. I tried to phone and the number on web page just cuts you off. I tried 6 times. I have emailed and had no response. Having now read previous reviews I wish I had not bought from Benetton. Disgusting customer service. On the back of the other reviews I am now going to speak to citizens advice and also contact Watchdog as not just me having issues

This is the worst customer service…
This is the worst customer service experience I have ever had.
I ordered items which were ill-fitting and used the provided label to return it. The items were returned to me because I failed to include an invoice. Fine. My mistake, but nowhere was it clearly stated that this should be included. If it was necessary to include then why wasn't it provided in the package as so many other companies do.
I then tried to contact customer service to find out how to proceed with the return. I was told that they would no longer accept my return even though I was well within the 14 day return period, which is in violation of my consumer rights. I then offered to pay for the return at my own considerable expense (to be sent all the way to Italy). I was ignored for two weeks despite repeated emails.
Finally, I was advised that the package would be accepted if I included to invoice. I spent £30 paying for a courier only to be told the package was refused. Customer service are now just ignoring me again.
Such an atrocious experience. Don't bother with a brand that treats its customers so poorly.
To update after receiving their response to this review: They ignored me until I wrote this review then emailed the response below to me verbatim then.... NOTHING! no further response, no reply to further emails. What a complete joke.

I ordered many items from official page and some of them did not fit me. I filled a return form and they don't send me a return label, so I have no idea how I can return these items. They also don't answer emails.

Terrible return process
Terrible return process, I have done everything as requested and my parcel was returned back tome, I think it's too expensive for them to send it back abroad, so it's just a pretend system that one can actually return.

Complicated returns process and no help if you get it wrong!
I made a mistake in sending back the items that did not fit and asked if I could have some help - and offered to pay for a new label for the returns and got the attached response:
Dear David,
Thank you for contacting Benetton Customer Care.
We are sorry to inform you that as the return procedure was not followed and the parcel was returned to you, we are no longer able to provide a new return label for your order.
I have tried to return using Royal Mail but as it is to Europe it has not been easy! I do not expect to get my money back. Do not buy unless you know the products will fit!

I contacted their customer care and they told me to return the product tommorow itself.. after being returned its been 2 month.still i hadn't received the refund...each and every time i tried to reach them they says the issue will be resolved within 48 hours please be patient...

Terrible Customer Service
I specifically asked yesterday while shopping if I can buy an item and if does not fit my husband, bring it back (return), and they said ok. Today they said there is jo refund and they only issue a voucher. They could say this when I specifically asked them yesterday. The employee was super arrogant and aggressive saying this js their policy. I check the website and this is not true or not explained online!!! Did my shopping in Via Roma, Turin, Italy. Never again.

Lies again! They claim they never received my emails, I’ve sent at least 30 of them and got an automatic confirmation from every email. Then they respond to my complaint on here 4 days before the return window closes ( how convenient !!!!) Also I never got that email they claim they sent. Searched my email inbox. SO SAD cause I actually liked what I ordered, I just had to get a smaller size. Now I’m stuck with 2 XL and 2 L vests I don’t even want to wear cause they’re dishonest and horrible people. Hope the $150 you stole for me makes you happy Benetton!!!

The worst customer service and returns policy ever experienced
In late November 2023,I ordered two tops for my son for Christmas the same top in different sizes .
I returned one as when it arrived I could tell it was too small .This was eventually refunded on 22/12/2023.
I saved one for Christmas this was not suitable either .
I contacted Benetton by email on 26/12/2023 and was told that only one return was allowed and as I had already done this I cannot return the other top .I have e mailed Benetton customer "care"about this now numerous times and each time the same reply from Arjeta, ..."you agreed to our terms and conditions,we must stand firm we will not allow you to make another return ".I therefore have to keep a top which is of no use .I am appalled and staggered at their lack of customer 'care '.

Appalling customer service
Appalling customer service. It is impossible to return via the online portal as it says the order is being "processed" (not sure if this is intentionally). No return label in the package. I have written multiple emails and no response after the first email which asked obvious questions. It is so apparent they are trying to make impossible the return and refund process. If 0 stars was possible, I would have given that. Do not buy anything online from Benetton.
Impossible to return, Customer Service was useless
The products I received, two wool sweaters, are good quality. But the return process (one was too large), was impossible. They wanted me to print off many forms and put them in a plastic pouch that I would then tape on the outside of the package. They did not supply this plastic pouch and subsequently gave me wildly confusing instructions when I emailed them repeatedly for help. Then the 14 day return period ran out, and I'm stuck with a sweater that doesn't fit while they still have my money. I am filing a complaint with my state's attorney general and consumer protection agency because I believe their complicated returns process basically scams consumers. They advertise free returns but the process is so complicated that making the return is impossible. Customer service was useless.

Last time they didn't deliver my order, after several email with customer service we found out the carrier had the package in gls magazine and I went to pick it up.
Now again, new order, the tracking shows the package as delivered but it's not true. Once it can happen, even twice, but my orders with Benetton never go well. Enough is enough! They asked a handwritten statement, with so many details, I sent it but it cost me money and time. I'm not interested in their products anymore. I hope to get my money back at least.
I didn't learn from my error and looking at their reviews I'm not the only one

Don't expect the customer care service to care
Shocked by the lack of humanity and standard responses from customer care team. They refused to return items which do not fit and I cannot use.
It was impossible for me to return my items within the 14 day return policy due to unforeseen circumstances. I was taking care of my elderly mother who had COVID and lives alone. I had to stay with her until she was fully recovered.
I would expect that a customer returns policy also covers unforeseen medical circumstances but instead I have lost money.
Scam
Made the order 1 week ago, didn't receive anything yet. No answer to my email.

Avoid online purchases - better find a physical store!
On July 14th 2023 I made an order via their UK website and arranged the payment to be made via Klarna. I never received a confirmation email from Benetton but luckily, Klarna sent me their own, outlining the arrangement of the payment.
On July 27th I called their services in the UK on the phone number indicated on their website but no one picked up the call. I then contacted via a Contact Us form their customer services and I used the Order No given to me by Klarna (P04334231).
I also reached out their Instagram team. The same day I got a reply from their customer services (#76201523) telling me that 'We would like to inform unfortunately the order P04334231 may be delayed due to a technical problem we are having with our system and we will process the order as soon as possible.
Their Instagram team responded to me on the same day, too, asking me my details and I replied that I had contacted your customer services and I'd wait for some more days.
No news until Wednesday, August 2nd, and I messaged their Instagram team who haven't responded till now. I have also chased their customer services who also remain silent.
Two days ago, I reported the transaction to Klarna who are now investigating.
No one after so many attempts has followed up! Is this how this company operates? People submitting orders and not hearing back from them?

I ordered on 21/07 . But the process is not changed. and 2 weeks later, I can track my order status "Failed"
They said just failed without reason.
I cannot understand what this situation is about my order. It looks like the order was canceled because they had a problem. The main problem is my credit card is charged.
They did't give me a refund. I send their customer's service, but they didn't give me an answer.
It feels like a scam.
