Appeared to map the rooms well vacuumed OK that’s the end of the good news wouldn’t mop wouldn’t empty wouldn’t recognise the tank being full. Help is almost non existent then they want you to return it for repair when it’s brand new rather than simply replace it. No thanks I’ll take the refund and try something else
When it works - when - it is good.
The charging contact is hit and miss - leading to error messages and a requirement to reboot the serial error messages (ie follow the instructions to clear one fault and a second error message will appear needing further action to resolve and possibly even a subsequent problem). It's repeated inability to empty itself - with the app telling you to empty it manually!! FFS - This leads to mess on the floor The disappearing empty option on the app I could go on. I really regret ever buying this.
I have had issues with this product since day one. iRobot customer support is useless - their only advice is to reboot and keep rebooting and repositioning. I keep having the same issues every few days. STAY AWAY from this company and any of their products, you will spend more time troubleshooting than you would doing the cleaning yourself.
I am not willing to let this go as the product was very expensive and will be seeking legal advice if their customer support continues not to address the issues.
I've had my iRobot for almost 18 months, for the first year or so it worked well but then the issues started. It is almost impossible to get a hold of anyone on the phone. My robot kept telling me it was "on the edge of a cliff". I read all the forums, cover the sensors with foil, card, tape, you name it, do a battery removal, do a factory reset. I did all of this and still, when sat on the same wooden floor it has for the last 18 months it was on a cliff edge. Then it developed an undocking problem, just wouldn't reverse out of its little home. Nothing in the way, all clear, same route it had done for past 18 months. I ended up violently stamping on it and it'll be in landfill by the weekend. What a waste of money, not that powerful suction, frequent errors, expensive consumable replacements and errors that you know simply aren't true. Why would you disable the ability to override the cliff edge sensor if you have no stairs or drop-offs?
Trying to call to return the irobot that was received on sat 07/12. Tried two different rooms keep going to corner in each of the rooms and did not come out.
Presently in the queue does give option of call back but i am not that trusting at this point, been on hold 43 minutes.
Trying to initiate return online but does not recognise the order number and email tried to set up a new account been waiting 10 minutes for the code to be sent to my email ..... still on hold.
On hold for just under an hour. Svetoslav was most helpful and emailed me the label's to return the goods. The website should be more forward in offering the same to reduce the calls and call queuing times.
Placed an order three weeks ago, dispatch delayed. chased customer services many times, still no resolution. Going to write to MD to complain.
Robots not fit for purpose. Mapping, suction and mopping awful. Customer service non-existent. Do not buy.
The robots usually have something wrong. On rare occasions, they work ok. Customer service is a joke. They don’t answer the phone.
Shame we cant give zero. Company fundamentally behave like scammers - sell you a faulty product, Attempt to charge you more money to resolve the issue. Ignore all lines of communication. Hide behind "process" and lack of trained customer service reps. Completely ignoring the Sale of Goods Act.
Incredibly poor customer service. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. WE NEED TO SEND A MESSAGE TO COMAPNIES LIKE THIS THAT ARE ONLY CONCERNED WITH MAXIMISING THEIR PROFIT (£200 million in this case) AND DELIBERATELY DEPRIORITISE CUSTOMER SUPPORT IN ORDER TO MAKE EVEN MORE MONEY.
Living with dog hair from a chocolate Labrador for the last two years with a traditional mid range upright vacuum and struggling to keep on top of the hair on hard wood floor downstairs we decided to bite the bullet and invest in a robot vacuum. We researched and decided on the Roomba Combo j9+ Robot Vacuum and mop. It was easy to set up, mapping is excellent and schedule functionality easy to use. Since we took delivery, we no longer notice excessive dog hair and the vacuum does not get clogged over time, something that our traditional vacuum struggled with. I would highly recommend this vacuum if you have a shedding dog and are struggling keep your floor free of dog hair. Very happy so far.
I’ve only had this machine a week and seriously regret the purchase. The machine dock flashes red and tells me there is no water in the tank, despite it being full.
I have rebooted several times.
Switched it on and off end endlessly.
I have contacted customer service and my one response sent me 2 links both of which bore no relation to my problem.
Utter rubbish, both the machine and the support
I could have cleaned the floor countless times instead of wasting time trying to resolve this
I have spent £700 and my iRobot has been stuck with UPS for 3 weeks, delayed, with no update on when it will arrive. I called customer care who told me it was because of stock issues and told me to call UPS (doens't make any sense). Managers wont speak to me, they've basically taken my £700 when they didnt know whether or not they had stock, and it will be delivered whenever the hell they feel like it.
Shocking for the price of the item, and frankly its starting to feel like a scam.
I contacted irobot to see if I could order a replacement brush cover as it broke. Initially they wanted me to send it back for a technician to look at it for a cost of £50 plus the cost of the part. They reviewed my request and have very kindly sent a replacement part to me. Much appreciated.
Robot didn't work at all when it arrived. I'm now about month into the process and returned the product weeks ago. Still no refund in my account. They take an average of 2-3 weeks to reply to an e-mail and don't bother phoning. I'm on hold as I write this and have been for 40 mins and counting...
Great, unless you need I Robot support, which is none existent!
I have been such a big fan of the roombas but my experience with the company has been really poor. It’s baffling that a company selling such expensive products can still operate with such poor policies. I bought a Clean Base for £400, and it first came with a European wire (despite me being in the UK and buying from the UK website). The water refilling feature didn’t work from the start, but they kept gaslighting me, suggesting it might be the wire and promising to send a replacement. After two wires and two weeks, I was told it was a software issue that they were aware of and expected to fix any day.
I managed to get them to extend my return period by 30 days, considering I had essentially bought an overpriced product that didn’t work as intended. Every week or two, the update was the same: “software update any day now.” How can you sell a brand new product knowing there is a fault which has no clear timeline for being fixed! I asked if every product was faulty or if they could just replace mine, but they said they couldn’t because it was a known software fault, and they couldn’t guarantee the next product wouldn’t have the same issue.
Finally, after seven weeks, I asked them to return the product since it literally didn’t do what it was supposed to! If I had read these reviews before buying my roomba, I just would not bother with such an untrustworthy company.
What a joke of a company! What a horrible horrible experience I’ve had so far with customer service! Their robots are so expensive but unfortunately brake very easily. Our one broke after 3 months and we cannot get through to them to get a replacement or repair! They promised collection from DHL twice and nothing! What a waste of money! Don’t ever buy from them! I’m taking legal actions against them if needed! Not letting it go.
Appalling. Long term customer. Customer service has alweays been terrible. But cintacted after 'error 68' error on i7 6 months out of warranty to be told its an 'unrepairable error', that the robot should be disoposed of and I should 'monitor their site for deals', and that nothing further could be done (including any discount on a replacement). So expensive, unrepairable disposable vaccume robots that don't last past their warranty period. With zero customer service.
Absolutely diabolical customer service. Avoid buying any device from these clowns.
