You can’t make this up – Be very wary
I prefer to write glowing reviews but unfortunately, I would struggle on this occasion.
In brief, Iris VBS acquired my contract/business on 01/04/22 from the previous security company, Contact Fire & Security (liquidated) who happened to have irresponsibility lost a vital element of my alarm system, the engineers code. Those in the know will be aware how importance this code is if amendments are required. I was made aware of this loss.
Having paid and contracted with Iris VBS from 01/04/2022 I requested help in December 22 to find a solution around the problem as amendments to the system were needed due to building work being carried out.
One would have hoped that help would be forthcoming, instead 9 months after contracting with me the Operations Director retrospectively issued Iris VBS T&C’s which were clearly in their favour and as such avoiding any responsibility. As these were issued by someone I assume was in authority, they were not issued in error.
A point to make is that Iris VBS had 5 separate opportunities to send me their T&C’s just after they acquired Contact Fire & Security in the 2 announcements I received, at the point, they issued me 2 separate invoices and when the alarm was serviced, but not once did they issue these.
Several conversations & several e-mails later I was given 2 options, 1. to charge me the full cost which was in excess of £1,400 to replace a panel which they now say is obsolete, and yet they were happy to “fix it” or 2. mutually agree to terminate my contract, a small rebate was offered of c. £40 but this option leaves me with a system not fit for purpose.
I would like to think it stopped there but it doesn’t; professionalism or customer focused service are not words I would associate with this company.
Their sales manager whilst having a call with me and in his own words, saying “I don’t want to waste more time on this” this being me the customer, and then proceeded to accuse me, of complaining, just to get a new system despite me offering to fund some of the solution. This is inexcusable behaviour. No wonder I was annoyed.
Now you may wish to retaliate Iris VBS as you did on your home page simply because you do not like to read the facts and these are facts, but the beauty of the many review sites is that existing customers who have experienced such appalling service can at least share those experiences with other potential customers.
It is all well and good having glowing reviews when you fit a system, but what really counts is the after-service care you offer and how you support them when help is requested. All I sensed was that the bottom line and money was the most important element in my dealings with you.
My issue is still unresolved, I am still in contract but would not recommend whatsoever dealing with this firm.
