1 Star – Very Poor Service

I had a very disappointing experience with Irish Parcels.

I paid for UPS Express next-day delivery, including €50 compensation cover, but the service was not fulfilled. The parcel was not collected/delivered within the promised timeframe, which completely defeated the purpose of paying extra for express delivery.

Because of the delay, the contents (time-sensitive personal items) lost their intended value. Attempts to resolve the issue have been frustrating and slow, with no clear accountability.

I would strongly advise others to avoid using this service at all costs, especially if you are relying on time-sensitive or guaranteed delivery options.

Very disappointing overall.

My parcel was to be shipped from…Ireland

My parcel was to be shipped from Ireland to the United States. The website gave me the option of a carrier to choose and specify a pickup date. I was able to fill out custom paperwork on line and it was submitted electronically. The parcel was picked up as requested and delivered in the United States a few days later. The whole process could not have been easier.

I booked and fully paid (€500) for a pickup service with Irish Parcels, operating in partnership with UPS, scheduled for 30 January 2026 between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

At approximately 5:30 p.m. on the scheduled day, I contacted Irish Parcels to inquire about the status of the pickup, as no driver had arrived. I was informed by a Senior Team Leader that he would contact UPS. Shortly afterward, he confirmed that the driver would not attend because his shift had already ended.

This is unacceptable and unprofessional. I had arranged my schedule to be present for the agreed time window and was not informed in advance of any issue or cancellation. I was told the pickup could be rescheduled and was asked whether someone else could assist the driver on another day, despite the service being fully paid for and confirmed.

Furthermore, during the second call, the Senior Team Leader was rude and showed no understanding of the inconvenience caused. At a minimum, I should have been proactively notified by email or phone that the pickup would not take place. Clients should not be required to call to discover that a confirmed service has failed.

While operational issues can occur, clear and timely communication is essential. This matter demonstrates a lack of professionalism and respect toward customers.

I strongly do NOT recommend Irish…

I strongly do NOT recommend Irish Parcels.

We placed and fully paid for a parcel collection. On the scheduled day, the driver arrived and said his van was already full, promising to come back later in the evening. No one ever returned, and the parcels were not collected.

We then tried to contact the company. We were told they operate through DPD, but no real assistance was provided — no solution, no clear information, and no responsibility taken for the failed collection.

As a result, we had to book another collection for Monday, their next working day, even though the original collection was supposed to take place on Friday. We clearly requested a specific time window, as we are leaving the country and cannot stay at home all day waiting for a courier. Once again, no help or accommodation was offered.

The facts are simple:
• the service was paid for in full;
• collection dates were agreed;
• the parcels were not collected;
• customer support was ineffective;
• no accountability was taken.

This is completely unacceptable. The company fails to follow even the most basic rules of parcel delivery and customer service. If you value reliability, deadlines, and basic respect for customers, avoid Irish Parcels!

I can see that you were sending 17 large boxes to Belgium, these have now all been safely delivered. A number of our team helped you with your collection out of hours, and arranged for another collection. I am very sorry that the Friday collection failed, this is very rare, but likely due to the number of items. We are disappointed with a 1-star review, as we did everything to rearrange this collection and get all your items delivered for you. I can arrange for a manager to contact you about your shipments. Best service

The website is easy to use. There's plenty of options. Customer service is great. Very quick to reply to questions. Customs declaration was a little difficult to navigate but worked it out. I have never had a parcel delivered so quick. It was collected on 18th December and could have been delivered by 23rd (nobody home to accept it). I was kept up to date with all attempts to deliver. Finally delivered on 30th. Cheaper and quicker than any other carrier.

Poor contact/ excessive additional delivery charges

Sent a parcel to Canada with Irish Parcels. Pick up and delivery were perfect.
My complaint is that on the day of delivery I received 3 texts one minute apart stating I need to pay further charges or they would add additional fees at the destination door. No invoice, no mention what these fees were for. Just pay. There was no duty as parcel was a gift and worth €25. The extra fees were about the same amount as the original cost for delivery. I paid and then contacted Irish Parcels to ask for an invoice so I know what these charges are for. Absolutely no interest. Reply was, nothing to do with them. Contact the delivery company. Still no info.
Will not use again.

We do make customers aware that there may be customs fees to pay based on what they are sending, this is on the customs pages. These costs are from Canadian Customs and handled by the courier UPS. We have emailed you a breakdown of these costs as we had to request these, as the fees are not from Irish Parcels. I hope you can understand this explanation.
