Charged Without Service – No Account, No Support
I had a very frustrating experience with IONOS.
On March 29, 2026, I tried to purchase a VPS L+ package along with a .studio domain. During my first attempt, I used Google Pay. The system confirmed the process but I never received any email, no account was created, and no payment was taken.
I assumed there was an issue, so I repeated the process. This time I paid with my bank card, and the amount (€31.74) was successfully charged.
However, even after the payment, I still received no email, no invoice, and I cannot access any account. The system says “client not found” when I try to log in.
I contacted their support by phone, but they could not resolve the issue. They even asked me to repeat the purchase again or provide my card details over the phone, which is unacceptable and insecure.
At this point, I have been charged but have received no service, no account, and no proper support.
This is a very poor experience and raises serious concerns about their system and customer handling.
I am currently requesting a full refund.

The amount in question is not actually debited, but merely reserved whilst the order is being processed and your first invoice is being issued.
We have attempted to locate your order in our system using the information provided in your review, but unfortunately, we have not been able to identify a corresponding account or transaction at this stage.
To investigate the issue you have encountered in more detail:
Please contact us at trustpilot@ionos.fr, stating your full name and attaching a screenshot of the €31.74 transaction.
In your email, please also provide your telephone number and your availability so that we can call you personally to resolve this matter.
Regarding the security of your data: we confirm that our policy is never to ask for your full credit card details over the phone, unless you wish to place your first order via this channel rather than on our website.

IONOS is a europeen provider, and the VAT rate applied depends strictly on your country of residence. For individuals residing in Greece, the local VAT rate is 24%. This explains any difference between the base price and the final amount on your invoice. Our system automatically adapts these taxes based on the billing address provided.
Regarding our email services, while some packages include free accounts, a standalone professional email address is indeed billed at €1.50 (excl. VAT). With the 24% Greek VAT (€0.36) applied, the total comes to €1.86.
We attempted to reach you to discuss this directly; however, we were unable to place an outgoing call to your Greek phone number.
