Nonsense response
Stupid. You send me an email saying you will bill me for renewal of a domain that I don't own. I asked you to clarify. You said it's impossible because you are billing me from an account that I don't own. No solution is possible. Nonsense response.

We sincerely apologise for the frustration and confusion caused by our previous response from my colleague. We understand your concern about receiving a renewal notification for a domain you no longer own.
I would like to clarify that when a domain is transferred to another IONOS account, the Registrant Contact (Reg C) details must also be updated separately. These details are independent of the account holder's information and the payment method associated with the account.
If the previous registrant's contact information remains on the domain record, they will continue to receive automated renewal notifications.
Please be assured that receiving a renewal reminder does not mean you will be charged. Domain renewal charges are processed using the payment method associated with the IONOS account where the domain is currently held, not the contact details listed under the Reg C.
I recommend contacting the person to whom you transferred the domain to request that the Reg C details be updated.
I have also taking steps to address this matter and help prevent further unwanted notifications, by contacting the person you transferred the domain to.
I have also sent you an email with further details and clarification regarding this matter, including the steps being taken to resolve it.
We sincerely apologise again for the inconvenience and for not providing a clearer explanation initially.

Extremely disappointing experience with IONOS.
I requested cancellation of my Web Hosting Plus service on 4 September 2026. On 7 September, IONOS confirmed in writing that my contract had been cancelled.
Despite this, I continued receiving invoices, including £10.80 in October and another £10.80 in November.
What is the point of confirming a cancellation if you continue billing the customer?
I made it absolutely clear that I no longer wanted or needed the service. Instead of respecting my decision, I have had to waste my time chasing this issue and raising a payment dispute with Lloyds Bank.
I have emails and invoices to support everything I am saying.
I want any wrongly collected payments refunded, all future charges stopped, and a proper explanation.
IONOS, cancelling a service should not be this difficult. Extremely poor customer experience. I would not recommend this company.

Service is like talking to a wall....
Completed my purchase for a domain. Didnt receive an email to the one i had entered instead it went to a different email. I changed it over to the one i had originally requested after some unhelpful ai help as the layout it was advising was not the layout i was seeing so its directions were useless. Amended my email, recieved an email so knew it was correct. Went to give the details to my website designer bf to help me set it up. Because it was a new device it needed a code. Code wasnt recieved so i logged back in and saw a pop up saying my email is having issued. I went to check it and someone the portal no longer had my correct email. I am unable to amend my email because i dont have access to the incorrect email to received the code. So i raised a ticket. The guy apprently read the first half of my ticket gave me a solution. The solution i had spent most of the day trying... which shockingly as i dont have the email they have i cant do... please someone with a brain reach out and fix this before i take my business elsewhere

The AI assistant answered first, and my heart sank, but when I requested to be put through to "a human agent" this happened very quickly. Millie was polite, friendly and helpful. She answered my questions and guided me through a process which resolved my problem.
