Hi,

I have done a voiceover job for this company at very short notice as a favour, and the agent who hired me (Martin Dalebout) seems to have now disappeared and isn’t replying to any of my messages or phone calls and hasn’t paid my invoice of course…
Talking to fellow voiceover artists, this company should be blacklisted as they do not pay!!!!! ****AVOID AT ALL COST!!!***

We've worked with IVO for a couple of years now on at least 20 projects and they never disappoint. With a huge catalogue of voice talents in literally all languages we always find the perfect voice for our projects. The project managers are very professional and quick in their Email response. You can even listen in the recording session and direct the talent to your needs. 6 out of 5 stars. :)

We have worked together with them on several projects, and to this day, they are our go to team for professional voiceover recordings.

Their selection of Voice Talent is incredibly diverse and no matter the project brief, there's always a voice that suits our needs.

The speedy efficiency in the professional recordings often amazes us. The time to receive back our recordings after being given a script can be as short as a single day, which considering the quality and the work involved with scheduling and the recording/editing, is an amazing feat!

And overall, the experience in communicating with he team over at Inter Voice Over has been a true pleasure. The team are very polite, friendly and a delight to work with. It's very easy to keep in contact with them at any point, and response times via email discussions are often very rapid.

Martin Allanson is an excellent tutor. The sessions were great fun yet very professional and extremely demanding, which was perfect! I’ve learnt a great deal in such a short time. The sessions were very hands on and we covered so much in 3 half days - I’m exhausted, but in a good way.

I went to a introductory workshop back in July 2019 and it was amazing so I decided to book on the mastery workshop. Then the pandemic started to hit. I had to chase constantly for an update and 2 days before the course was due to happen they contacted me (thankfully I hadn't booked travel or accommodation), to say was to be rescheduled then a coupon was issued to rebook, it's taken me 20+ emails and 10+ voicemails over 6 months to get through to anyone. Eventually I got through to the CEO who issued a refund. Long and short of why I gave them 1*, their communication is shocking. Website and social media isn't kept up to date and direct numbers go straight to voicemail, you leave messages and hear nothing back. Not how you do business. It's a shame as the first workshop I attended was so good, doubt I'll be rebooking the mastery one again because of my experience

My story is a carbon copy of Anna's- introductory course then paid £500 for mastery course for Spring 2020 which was cancelled due to lockdown and since first requesting a refund in Oct 2020 numerous emails with erroneous promises of refund. Nil refund as of August 2021.

I had my voice interview on the phone and was told my voice was great and was invited to go to their studios to do a recording... and had to pay for studio use. This was arranged for a few days before lockdown. I was contacted and told they were cancelling the appointment so have never received what I paid for. In January this year I contacted them asking if I could have a refund as I had not received what I had paid for. I was told yes that would be OK and was asked to send my bank details for the refund which I did immediately.It is now June and have not had my refund nor do they reply to my numerous emails. There was a lady called Alexandra who did reply but I received an email from her telling me she was leaving the company and that my refund would happen. Still waiting after 5 months. This is disgusting behaviour and do not know why a refund would take so long. Please refund my money.

I was told by a very competent sales woman that I had to record a reel with them to be on their books, my other professionally recorded ones couldn't be used and that is was part of an audition to do so and that you can then use it as another reel. So I went along, waited out in the rain as there is nowhere inside to wait until your exact time on the dot even then I wasn't allowed in.

After that, I did my recording rushed, with headphones that weren't working and with little guidance. He edits it as you go along within that time. It is very raw with no background jingles. I have not used it for any of my social media.

I was told I was accepted on their books and needed to pay the yearly subscription which I stupidly did thinking at least I might get something from the recording session and I have never heard from them ever again.

The calls go to voicemail. They haven't answered my emails. The whole process feels like a scam.

they pressed me to record somewhere around 750 sentences within 3 days (1 original task, 2 more extra tasks with newly agreed fees) then i have sent my recordings but they sent me an invoice instruction with original fees , i have mentioned it, then i have received an instruction, but has no instructions for extra works. sent several messages , no response over 2 weeks. no reply at all. i feel like i have been cheated.

i do recommend to ask for advance first otherwise they just gives you this headache. especially under current global pandemic situation, the way treat voiceover talent is very very wrong.

Excellent intro to the voiceover business with Glen as our inspiring, knowledgeable and informative guide. Professional engineer and sound booth. Altogether highly recommended!

I don’t have much to compare it to but the intro to voiceover with Intervoice was amazing. The tutor Glen was so engaging and in four hours I learned so much. Having that sound booth time was invaluable. Only problem now is I want back in that sound booth! Buzzing!

Very professional, enthusiastic and very informative

An afternoon well spent. I have been to many training courses over the years. Some have been good, some ok, and many utter rubbish. Today's was excellent and inspiring.

The session provided a clear intro into this interesting trade. It’s a much wider market than I had imagined.

Nice to know that I might be able to mix a creative element with my daytime job!

Glen McCready was very informative about the workings of the voiceover market. Outside my permanent contract I work two days as a contractor through an agency so I see a good fit. It's so worthwhile to have someone who really knows and has worked in the market tell you how it really is. So much more useful than an 'expert' banging on about something they don't actually do.

Mason the engineer was also excellent. This is a professional outfit who know their onions.

All in all, I am feeling confident that this might work out.

This was an amazing course the trainer was attentive clear and helpful the course material allowed me to understand more about voice overs and offered an opportunity to practice. Good guidance in my recently published book Journey To Spiritual Self. I am now going to follow the advice of the tutor and use my own voice for the audio book version. Great networking and lovely venue. I would do this course again as it left me feeling empowered. Easy 9 out of 10 rating.

The workshop was extremely valuable and provided a good idea of how to enter the world of voice overs. The trainer provided excellent advice and guidance in an informal way to answer all questions we had.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I arrived at the studio and was pleasantly surprised by what I found. The place itself was easy to find and the room was open and clean. The engineer was friendly and put me at ease immediately. Once we started working, he gave clear and constructive direction and helped to make the experience very smooth. Ended up having a relaxed afternoon and achieved what I wanted to do.

Glen welcomed everybody individually and managed to make everyone feel relaxed. He was very honest and although it was clear he was very well trained and had a lot of experience he didn't make anybody feel inadequate. He was very clear regarding
how the industry works and shared quite a few tips that would be helpful for anyone starting out. I must admit I thought it was an excellent class, especially for someone like me with no experience at all of the industry and how it works. I would like to see
perhaps an opportunity to have one on one time with the trainer but understand that this would probably be very difficult considering timeframes and the number of people in the class. Overall no complaints.

Martin was excellent! The slide deck was helpful and it didn't feel like another PP presentation! Great to see the calibre of clients Inter Voice Over are working with. The workshop was in a great location. We had a manageable no. of participants. The time and content felt right for an introductory level workshop.
