Ignored customer communication
I recently bought kitchen hardware from Interfit Furniture Components but realized the wrong parts had been ordered. Due to an unforeseen family situation, I had to fly out to South Africa immediately. By the time I was able to deal with the order upon my return, I had just missed their 14-day return deadline.
I reached out to their customer service team, explained my situation clearly, and asked if they could offer a little flexibility or compassion given the extenuating circumstances. Instead of treating me like a human being or a valued customer, they completely ignored my message. I haven’t received a single reply or acknowledgement.
While I accept the 14-day rule is their stated policy, completely ghosting a customer is unacceptable. A simple "We're sorry, but we cannot bend the rules" would have at least shown basic business etiquette. It is clear that once this company takes your money, they wash their hands of you. If you want a supplier that communicates and offers decent support, look elsewhere
