I’m so grateful for the everyone who helped me through completing my cohort. Even after finishing the course Joanna and Leah have stayed in contact with me sending me job listings and just reaching out in general to follow up months afterwards.

A thank you to Intellectual point & Leah Barreuther

I wanted to take the time to thank Intellectual Point. The way they have provided me to be able to provide everything to pass a certification exam really stands out. I love the instructors they have that lead the class to teach the information. I really like the formula they have for the classes to pass these certifications. I love that they were bake to pay for my class and they can make it affordable.

I also wanted to take the time to thank Leah Barreuther, thank you for taking the time to review my resume and set up a zoom with me. I do appreciate how you changed the format and re-worded some of the different areas. You were a huge help in adding in the cyber security program in my resume too. I feel that the intro you implemented and the cyber security program will really stand out

Thank you Intellectual Point

As a military veteran who has faced the challenge of completing tasks multiple times throughout my life, I can honestly say that Intellectual Point was a game-changer for me. For the first time, I didn’t have to repeat or retake any exams—I passed every certification exam on my first try. That success wasn’t just luck; it was a result of the quality education and support that Intellectual Point provided. They have truly invested in my success, not only through their expert training but also through their consistent communication and commitment to helping me achieve my goals. Even after completing the program, I was supported and had access to an incredible network of professionals and organizations that have opened up new opportunities for me. Intellectual Point isn’t just a training provider; they are a community—a family, even—that operates with integrity, quality, and a genuine desire to see their students succeed. I can wholeheartedly trust their process, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking to advance their career.
Leah Barreauther has been my advisor for the past year, and I can’t say enough about how amazing she is. She’s down to earth, approachable, and makes you feel completely comfortable throughout the entire process—like having a big sister by your side. She’s an outstanding mentor who truly cares about your success.

Joanna and Fallon, her teammates, are just as incredible. The support never misses a beat, even when you transition from one team member to the next. It’s clear they all work seamlessly together.

I also want to give a huge shoutout to Cameron Smith and Stephen Ware, who have been essential in my journey as well. Thank you all for your incredible support and guidance!

Intellectual Point is a Misrepresentation

I earned two certifications during Covid Pandemic from Intellectual Point coursework. I have discovered Intellectual Point is falsely marketing itself to be an agency to provide life-long learners in obtaining variety of tech certifications and IP offers trainings that are not relevantly present day but from 2021 and soliciting that it is the present day strategies. Actually, it is years old presentations. In addition, IP does not actively offer civilians lifelong career services. It is misrepresenting its services for business.

It was a real adventure learning for the the Linux+ Certification. The instructor and the staff was really helpful providing all the answers to my doubts which in the end were useful to me cracking the exam. It was really good with the Splunk class as well.

A Veteran’s Warning: Dishonest, Unaccredited, and Unresponsive.

As an Army veteran who made the mistake of giving this place a chance, I can honestly say that dealing with Intellectual Point has been one of the worst educational and career-related experiences I’ve ever encountered. They’re not accredited, and now I see exactly why: the communication is abysmal, the support is nonexistent, and the entire operation seems to be nothing but smoke and mirrors designed to squeeze money out of unsuspecting students.

First off, trying to get anyone on their staff to respond to an email or a phone call is like pulling teeth. You can wait for weeks—sometimes over a month—and still not get a straight answer. Simple questions about testing requirements or curriculum details vanish into the void, with absolutely no explanation or official documentation. As someone who has dealt with complex operations in the Army, I can’t fathom how a supposed “professional training center” can function with such glaring breakdowns in basic communication.

The quality of the courses is laughable. They’ll hand you answers to tests so everyone “passes,” which is obviously just a tactic to puff up their success rates. It’s all about getting you in, getting you done, and then getting you out the door—so long as they’ve collected your money or your VA benefits in the process. The material doesn’t seem aligned with the actual exams you’ll need to take for real industry certifications, and some of the content appears outdated. This means you’ll likely have to pay out of pocket for another exam elsewhere to secure a legitimate certification that employers will respect. In that sense, their program is almost worthless—except as a drain on your time, money, and confidence.

What’s more troubling is how they treat veterans. From my perspective, it’s clear they don’t value us as people or professionals. I tried contacting them several times and got nothing back. Other veterans have said the same—they ignore calls, emails, and concerns, and they’re not even on the list of some approved VA programs. Supposedly, they try to make veterans use their BAH to cover costs for certification tests that the VA itself would normally provide. This feels like they’re just preying on those who served. The staff, especially their COO Neeta, comes off as rude, dismissive, and downright greedy. When someone reached out for resume assistance that was promised through a VA-related program, they ended up getting a half-baked, irrelevant resume with zero revisions allowed. Tough questions, legitimate requests, or anything that requires extra effort on their part? Good luck. They just ignore you and expect you to slink away quietly. The leadership, including the president Prem, is no better, simply parroting the same unhelpful excuses.

Beyond the classroom and the VA-related issues, there are multiple reports of them running a shady operation at their testing center as well. People show up for exams and get turned away with flimsy excuses like “maintenance” on the testing system—only to find out from another testing center that no such maintenance was happening at all. Instead of getting a straight answer or some basic courtesy, students are blown off and told to come back another time. And then there’s the blatant attempt to pad their online reputation with fake, one-off positive reviews. Look closely at their reviews, and you’ll find questionable patterns—brand-new accounts giving over-the-top praise, while numerous real students with consistent reviewing histories call them out for what they are: a money-hungry, disorganized company that doesn’t deliver on its promises.

Overall, Intellectual Point presents itself as a professional training provider, but in reality, it’s just a dead end. You pay them, you pass their trivial tests, and then you’re left on your own, often having to pay even more money and time to fix the mess they created. The lack of proper accreditation, the absence of real support, the unprofessional behavior toward veterans, and the inconsistent and outdated course material all add up to a giant warning sign: Stay away. If you respect yourself, your time, and your hard-earned benefits, don’t go near this place. You can find far better, more transparent, and more supportive programs elsewhere—programs that will give you real credentials and genuine assistance, rather than the hollow promises and headaches you’ll get from Intellectual Point.

Well Done!

I had no IT knowledge or experience before starting the courses with Intellectual Point (IP). I have taken the Security+ course and passed thanks to the teaching given by one of the instructors, Stephen. The information was given in a way that was very easy to follow and understand. The milestones implemented by IP are literally created and stressed for students to follow for the student's benefit. I don't think any other school is teaching this way and they definitely should be! Great courses, great staff, great results!

The program works

I recently finished my first course covering CompTIA Sec+ and gained my certification. They do an AMAZING job at breaking down the information that is easily digestible even for people with little to no IT experience. I would highly recommend anyone follow their pathway and take their courses if they wish to gain the certifications they provide.

On Saturday, Passed SEC+ 701 on 1St Try

On Saturday, 10/19/24, I took the SEC+ 701 test and achieved a significant milestone- I passed on my first attempt despite my background being in the financial industry rather than IT. This is a testament that you can achieve even more with the right school, class materials, learning strategy, and determination! The empowerment from passing on the first attempt, especially from a non-IT background, is a powerful inspiration. It's a feeling that I want to share with you to inspire and motivate you on your journey. I understand everyone has unique learning styles, and I'm willing to share the study strategy that led to my success. Leveraging my philosophy background, I applied Plato's philosophical theory that every idea has a corresponding higher concept. This unique approach allowed me to pair each concept with a keyword, creating a condensed version of the class materials with critical terms in the context of the CompTIA-specific Domains.
• The school's resources were not just helpful; they were instrumental in my preparation journey. I printed out and reviewed the CompTIA Objectives, a comprehensive list of all the topics that could appear on the exam. I focused primarily on the concepts I wasn't familiar with. For instance, if I run into two concepts, such as Geographical restriction and limitation, I will spend time on the one I have no clue about, just in case it pops up on the exam. The school's resources were crucial to my success, and I encourage you to use them in your preparation. They were not just tools but a guiding light in my journey.
• I followed the professor's instructions and a weekly plan to cover all the necessary materials and practice tests to ensure I was well-prepared for the exam. I extensively used Professor Q* invaluable notes. They could account for up to 40% of easy bonus points on the exam.
The tips on memorizing acronyms, protocols, and their numbers were also critical.
• The school's resources and links (like "Important SEC+ Concepts/Notes") were beneficial and crucial to my preparation. I encourage you to review them thoroughly to ensure you're well-equipped for the exam. I relied on Professor Messer’s summary notes to reinforce my understanding.
• I practiced using the school's test portal, which simulated the exam format. I participated in weekend simulation sessions organized by Intellectualpoint—this is a must! These sessions could account for up to 30% of easy bonus points on the exam.
• I took my notes during class and studied for four hours daily, increasing to 12 on weekends. Consistency is key!
• Time management is not just crucial; it's a game-changer during the exam. Skip questions you don't understand at first and return to them later. This strategy saves time and helps you maintain a steady pace and boost confidence throughout the exam.
• CompTIA often provides hints or keywords for most questions to guide you to the correct answer. Please pay attention to the keywords in the questions.
The most rewarding part of this journey was the school's unwavering dedication to student success. From offering excellent study materials to providing great professors and staff, they stood behind me every step of the way. If you're looking for a place that will support your learning journey, I highly recommend this school.
Best of luck to anyone preparing for their certification, and remember—if I could do it, you can, too!

Security + and CEH

I was lucky to complete the Security + and CEH certificates with IP because they give you the necessary resources, take the time to answer and help you with any questions or problems you may have.
They are aware that some materials can be difficult to understand, so they give you different tips for studying. Personally, I love their labs and the practice exams are very useful to understand the subject and even more their study program, and you will end up experiencing their phrase of "trust the process."
They are definitely the best at this.
