Excellent walks as described. Very good instructions and GPX. Comfortable hotels and very good food, including provision for vegetarians.

We have done the Dordogne Extended hike twice and loved both experiences. It is a hike through the countryside and old villages that have preserved their historic character. The stays are in small hotels that provide high-end dining. A/C rooms and pools are available at many places. Hoteliers go out of their way to help clients. We did the recent trip during the period of excessive heat and were helped by hotels by getting rides that shortened the day’s hike. Late check-outs and early check-ins were accommodated because of the changes we made to the hike schedule due to heat.

InnTravel provides excellent service and provides a binder with all the information you need to make your way through the trip. We’ve made 6 trips with InnTravel and have received help during the trip on a couple of occasions when the need arose. Our transport providers have always been on-time and in the expected meeting location. And I especially like that most days have options for the route to be hiked with good descriptions and terrain profiles to compare.

What an excellent holiday with top class accommodation and food. La Perla hotel was superb and the staff so friendly and helpful. The scenery was awe-inspiring and the walking routes and guides so easy to follow. Inntravel have come up trumps again

The service with this company has been awful. From start to finish we had nothing but misinformation. Train times and cancellations were not reported to us. We had to ask for tickets to be amended because of incorrect details. We were sent tickets for other customers. Very poor customer service. Never spoke to the same person about a query. The trip was good but a specific cable car was closed at least a month before we travelled and this impacted one of the route. Our Euro star to Paris had been cancelled two days before we travelled. Inntravel didn’t tell us.

I booked an Inntravel walking holiday with Trailfinders to Lake Constance. Trailfinders handled the finance side and the admin via their individualised Trailhub web pages.
This mostly worked ok with the exception of two essential travel vouchers which didn’t appear. After I chased several times, one voucher but not the other - a boat journey - was provided by the time we departed on the trip.
The journey turned into an obstacle course - cancelled UK trains, delayed flight, damaged luggage, more cancelled trains in Switzerland and finally a hotel which wasn’t expecting us. None of this was Inntravel or Trailfinders fault, but when you arrive at your destination you need to recover from this type of stress, and rapidly when your holiday only lasts for a week. As it was, we were confronted by further obstacle courses of a) making a damaged luggage claim (always likely to be a thankless task) and b) chasing the missing travel voucher.
But I did so and the situation was resolved just in time, but only partially as it turned out. The new voucher took the form of a letter with reference number and the boat pilot wanted a printed copy. Eventually we managed to resolve this via a phone airdrop but a paper copy should have either been provided to us, or at least the requirement made clear.
Trailfinders apologised from the agent’s perspective, stating that I could give them feedback after the holiday, and that I would also get the chance to do so with Inntravel. On the face of it, the voucher issue was probably an Inntravel matter since Trailfinders would be unlikely to have the detailed product knowledge of what was required.
As for the rest of the trip - hotels were very good (Constance), outstanding (Uberlingen) and run of the mill (Bodman).
The walk route instructions were excellent, in particular the city tour of Constance which was like being in a guided tour. However the designation of the trip as Grade 1 is overly optimistic, in respect of the paths from Ludwigshafen to Sipplingen and from Sipplingen to Uberlingen. If you’re promising massive views over the lakes, chances are that there will be significant hills to get there, and so it proved.
There also seemed to be a decent lakeside path from Uberlingen towards Nussdorf which would be a genuine grade 1 and didn’t get a mention.
After the trip, the feedback opportunity to Inntravel doesn’t seem to have materialised so this is the feedback.Surprisingly for a company which emphasises customer service, this trip seems to have gone below their radar. Or maybe it was never on their radar in the first place?

The reply from Inntravel lays responsibility for problems squarely with their agent Trailfinders. Which raises the question: is anything being done to prevent future travellers experiencing the same problems?
For example, if Inntravel expects Trailfinders to distribute questionnaires on its behalf, what will be done to ensure that this happens? If Inntravel produces vouchers which look like covering letters, why not head them ‘To be printed for redemption’ or similar. For a customer service oriented company, the approach seems quite negative.

I had done a couple of Caminos de Santiago in recent years and was delighted when Inntravel offered the Camino Inglés (English Way) from Ferrol to Santiago. I wasn't disappointed. The accommodation was first class, from the luxurious paradors in Ferrol & Santiago to the equally stylish & very welcoming hotels in Pontedeume (Albatros), Betanzos (Garelos), A Rúa (Casa Rural Doña María) & O Pedrouzo (Amiuka). The rooms were spacious and the breakfasts just what were needed before setting off on each stage (generally 15-20km each day).
The route south from Ferrol was beautiful & tranquil which gave me plenty of time to take in the beautiful Galician countryside as well as enjoy the local food & wine. Highly recommended!

Our trip to Normandy Beeches was excellent. Best was the balance and mix of locations and recommendations of key places to visit. All this was interspersed with beautiful walks which gave time for letting what we had seen be absorbed slowly but surely. Thank you.

Really interesting area, off the usual tourist track. Excellent choice of hotels and some great walks in perfect temperatures (early May).

We have used Inntravel for 16 years for walking holidays and most of these have been very enjoyable. However, last year we took a walking holiday with them in Turkey along the Lycian Way. It was probably the worst holiday we have ever had. The walks were badly described, the timings were significantly underestimated (on all our other Inntravel holidays we have complerted them in 80-90% of the recommended timing but on this holiday the timing was 140-150% of the rercommended time which on a 6-7 hour walk is exhausting), and there were problems with some of the accommodation. We wrote to complain and recived an inadequate response and had to write again to get heard properly, despite Inntravel admiting others had had similar problems. The walk is still on the Inntravel itinery with only a change of one of the accommodations.

Just back from an Inntravel Walking the Catalan Coast holiday. This was our first time with Inntravel but I would not hesitate to travel with them again and highly recommend this holiday., The organisation was excellent and any queries before (and during) the holiday were answered quickly. The hotels were fabulous, walks stunning (with easy to follow routes) and everything worked very well. Looking forward to our next holiday already.

Recently returned from the most wonderful walking holiday in Slovenia. A wonderful country to visit, supported by an excellent team at Inntravel. This was our third holiday with Inntravel and we couldn't recommend them more highly. Excellent communications, excellent itinerary, excellent hotels and excellent walking routes. All the walking routes had written directions as well as GPX files provided and both very accurate.
We will be using Inntravel again and fully recommend to others

Just back from a superb cycling holiday in the Dordogne.
Great, easy to follow routes, good accommodation and delicious food. What a beautiful part of France!

We were nervous to travel to Slovenia on our own initiative, so to travel Inntravel was very reassuring. We had an excellent time, we stayed in beautiful locations, the walking guides were very accurate, the environment of mountains, Meadows and Riverside were rejuvenating.
If you would like reassurance while you are away adventuring, I would definitely recommend Inntravel.

The walks were interesting, instructions easy to follow, and the accommodation was fabulous. One of the best holidays I have ever been on. Everything worked as it was supposed to - transfers, pick-ups, arrangements and especially the walk-notes. And everyone very friendly. I felt very comfortable doing this holiday on my own. Wonderful!

The organisation of the trip was great - we were able to add in extra days to suit us. The accommodation and included meals were excellent. The walking was through idyllic countryside with great views over the vineyards and river Duoro. The weather was a bit hot in June, although manageable! I would definitely book another walking holiday through Inn Travel.

We had a wonderful walking holiday in Sicily organised by Inntravel. Their communication and pretravel service was faultless. Our accommodation was clean and comfortable with lovely people welconing us. We will certainly use Inntraval again.

We have used Inntravel at least a half-dozen times so far, and every trip has been a grand adventure. The pre-trip planning portion leaves nothing to chance, and every adventure begins with a good understanding of the days ahead.

The trips themselves are like opening a new gift every day of the holiday. The directions allow for new wonders to slowly reveal themselves one kilometer (or less) at a time.

The lodging is always great, if not extraordinary.

The food and food recommendations are too many for a person to try in one holiday, but they are always memorable.

In short, Inntravel is an A++++ company in our household, and we will most certainly return in the future for more adventures.

Booked a very last minute holiday with Inntravel after our holiday to the Azores was cancelled and they managed to book it all for us with all the transfers etc within 2 days, fantastic customer service and the holiday was amazing in almost every detail, we walked along the Algarve coastline, stayed in lovely hotels along the way, luggage was transferred to each new location flawlessly, the route walking notes were incredibly detailed and helpful, each hotel was gorgeous, particularly the last one( Memmo Sagres… what an absolutely fabulous place.. and the food there was outstanding!)
Will definitely book with Inntravel again.. 10/10 for their customer service!

Six day experience in Scotland. Two nights in Edinburgh and four nights hiking in Pitlochry and Blair Atholl area.
InnTravel staff very professional and helpful with recommendations, planning and communications. Accommodation was excellent with friendly and knowledgeable inn keepers. Breakfasts were great. Transfers were on time and smooth with courteous drivers who gave good tips on locations.
All in all a generally stress free way to holiday.

This was our third year in a row travelling with Inntravel - this time on the Collioure to Cadaques walk.
The booking process itself is easy and staff are very knowledgeable about the holidays they offer.
Every walk was well thought out, interesting and with exceptional scenery. The lovely weather was a bonus. Service at all 4 hotels was exceptional. We had dinner provided on 3 nights and all hotel meals were of a high standard.
We finished with two nights in Cadaques which we loved from a previous visit and this time managed to book and visit the nearby Salvador Dali House Museum - a great way to finish the holiday.
From Airport pick up to return all travel arrangements were on time and drivers were polite and helpful.
The documentation provided by Inntravel prior to the holiday is both detailed and extremely useful.
Overall an exceptional holiday which all four in our group thoroughly enjoyed.
