We've tried most of the usual hiring channels. They all looked busy but moved slowly. They ask annoying but useful questions upfront, which saves a lot of pain later. If you care more about getting the right engineer than "seeing more profiles", they are worth using.

I’ll be honest, the price surprised me at first.

But hiring people on our own also took a lot of time with taxes, contracts and other paperwork. So we HAD to look at other options. With Index.dev they handled those parts, and we could just focus on our product.

If you already have a growing team (like us) and want things to run smoothly, the cost is so worth it. But if your company is still finding its feet, maybe hold off.
