Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. The customer service was often described as shocking, unhelpful, and difficult to deal with, particularly when trying to resolve warranty issues or arrange repairs. Some people were dissatisfied with the warranty process, finding it challenging to get repairs covered or facing unexpected charges. LIVID

LIVID.
Bought an Indesit washing machine to replace my fantastic 20 year old Zanussi 1400 because on paper it was a direct match with a bigger load.
Here’s the BUT - the 1400 spin can only be accessed by using the exceedingly long wash programs or you run a shorter program and then have to ask it to do the 1400 spin.
Btw the 1200 spin leaves clothes TOO WET for the tumble dryer.
Apparently we can put men on the moon but Indesit cannot link a 1400 spin to a shorter washing program whereas Zanussi were doing this 20 years ago!
Incredible.

They sell on your personal telephone number

I bought a dishwasher from them. The dishwasher itself works well, although the construction is flimsy, and the door flexes. However, what really got on my nerves, is that they sold my telephone number to a cold caller. 2 hours after registering my warranty with them, I received an unsolicited call from Domestic and General with some automated voice trying to flog something or other. Very poor show

Bought a washing machine a few weeks…

Bought a washing machine a few weeks ago and never in my years of using washing machines have I had such rubbish, bought it through Argos, never again.
The programs are ridiculous and it sounds like a second hand machine.
Don't waste your money 🤑

induction hob

bought an induction hob and the side clips will not fit without an amount of force that will damage the hob and probably injure me. Yet another example of very poor design.

The worst company in the known universe?

Following on from almost all the other reviews, we bought an Indesit fridge freezer about 10 months ago. It runs cold all the time and the thermostat clearly isn’t working properly. I phone for a repair, which took 45 mins as the extremely rude and patronising agent insisted on telling me all his problems with management restructuring and then tried terribly hard to sell me appliance insurance. When I insisted on a repair visit under warranty, he threatened me with a £125 call out fee if the engineer decided there was no fault.
I cancelled the appointment and have decided to put it down to experience and get an appliance owned by a dedicated company (Bosch). Indesit is owned by Hotpoint who are owned by Whirlpool. They have no complaints process, and don’t even acknowledge or respond to negative reviews on this site. Tells me all I need to know. Just wish I’d looked at Trustpilot before I bought the appliance!

Absolutely awful

Absolutely awful, shrunk all my clothes even on cold washes. Worst washing machine for that reason. Hardly any hot washes available on this machine. This is after one year of use

Atrocious Customer Service

Atrocious Customer Service - impossible to reach by phone, email, WhatsApp Chat or Live Chat. The chat options took a minimum of 30 minutes between responses which is ridiculous. My complaint with them is due to damage caused by one of their engineers. Truly hopeless but I am nothing if not determined.

In all fairness this is my fault…

In all fairness this is my fault because I had moved and needed a washing machine asap. I bought an Indesit, My Time model and was absolutely gutted, disappointed and flabbergasted that it Doesn’t have a Timer..! I was so annoyed with myself for not checking the images in close detail, but I genuinely just assumed that this is pretty Standard on washing machines now..! Well it isn’t and I’m stuck with it now..! I can’t imagine that this is still a thing, no time display, sort it out indesit 😕

Have used many washing machine but I…

Have used many washing machine but I regret buying the indesit 9kg washing machine. It was has worked only 2yrs and all light started flashing, called someone to come and have look, they told me it's a control board problem. What a rubbish things to hear in this crisis, if the machine was very old I would have appreciated, but it seems like they programmed their machines to work for a short time and then you go back and buy another one.

INDESIT EWDE 761483 W UK

I bought an Indesit washer dryer INDESIT EWDE 761483 W UK on 11 Sept 2025, fron Argos and it was delivered on the 16th. The instructions saud the first time user should run an Autoclean cycle before using it. It did not say whether to use soap or how to start the Autoclean cycle. I had to search on line, the extended instructions also failed to give instructions. Eventually I found a video a disgruntled user had helpfully uploaded. OK, that done, I tried a quick wash and dry cycle. This was done, but not very dry. Then I wanted a 90degree wash which I need to use form time to time. It took ages to find that one did exist, via the Cotton wash, customising the buttons on the display. Again a useful video from another disruntled user. I hung those on the line. Then I tried a washing a load of T shirts with the intention of working out how to use the dryer by itself. This was the problem. You can set the dryer for say an hour, but if the sensors think it's all too wet, it will change the timing to longer. I did not want to go to bed with the machine working for hours in the night when I didn't know if I could trust it. It had shown defiance already. In the end I call the Indesit technical team. This took three calls as it cut off without warning twice. When i got on, the lady was nice and chatty, but she was not really acquainted with ths particular model. I did suddenly realise that the machine switches from minutes to hours and minutes on the display which had flummoxed me for a moment. I complained about the instructions and lack of, but decided to have another go. I phoned to register the machine and they tried to sell me a longer insurance than the free guarantee. I had also had someone phone me to do this earlier. Having read the reviews of reluctance to help from Indesit, I decided to write this one as a record of my concerns at this stage of my ownership of this model I have a record of my phone call as well.

Avoid at all coats

I bought a number of different appliances across multiple brands and my indesit washing machine is the only one i have problems with. Standard wash cycle takes for ever. It has leaked. The filter constantly blocks meaning it wont drain and its design means its a huge effort to drain without soaking utility room in litres of water. Avoid an indesit washing machine like the plague!!!!!

Shocking customer service

Unfortunately I'm unsealed to give negative stars.

Ordered an item through another shop, item delivered made a really loud banging nosie which is allegedly a new design.

Requested a refund due to not being fit for purpose, indesit were rude on the phone, hanging up multiple times, confirming they would arrange collection and then not arranging it.

Continued to follow up and this went past the 28 days where they have now said its not their problem and ended the call again.

I purchased rubbish an Indesit washing machine…

I purchased an Indesit washing machine in Currys Navan0n the 30/04/ 25. 3hr round trip. Dropped off old machine and picked up new one. Got home and un-packed machine in van. The front of the machine was made wrong where the control buttons were was crooked and plastic molding sticking out on side. No Irish number for Currys . No joy ringing through to UK. Drove back to navan and after a bot an hour I was on my way home with a new machine in van, I had checked the top buttons and all seemed good. when I got home I unpacked the machine in th van only to find that the bottom of it was broken. 7 hrs for a broken machine. The packaging on both machines was not damaged so they were obviously dispatched from factory after passing Quality control in this condition. I rang Currys in UK again and Indesit both were of little use to me and customer care is as bad as Quality of product in Indesit.I fitted in machine and now I have a machine with no bottom moulding . I rang Indesit again and some guy said They would send me the part I had given him my details but then he cut me off without any time on this delivery, went back to currys on the 10th /05 /25 with the broken part and was told to bring back the machine and they may replace it or they could send out a new one and charge me delivery for the privilege . 9 hrs travelling and 2 hrs phone calls leaves it an expensive machine. To make it worse I had purchased an Indesit Tumble dryer in Mullingar 1 week earlier and had to return it for another as it would not dry the clothes as the element was faulty. Are Indesit sending all the rubbish to Ireland or is this just bad luck. Disgrace on Indesit and they need to change there mission statement.

THE HORROR WASHING MACHINE DRUM.

Just arrived back from a beautiful Spanish break, tired and exhausted...silly me thought I'd make a start doing some gentle washing in my Indesit Push & Go,which I bought from a local supplier who also fitted it on 16/1/21.
Just as I sat down to relax I heard a noise coming from my kitchen as the machine started to spin noise got louder and louder,in a panic stopped the machine opened the door and all I could see was white plastic bits all over holiday cloths . Originally brought machine because I live on my own so only do one wash a week.... so basically I've had 230 washers out of this machine in over 4yrs 4mths....NOT WHAT I HAD IN MIND WHEN I PURCHASE MACHINE...the update doesn't really get any better , the machine as a 10 Yr part guarantee , so I decided to give them a ring the folks on the line were as helpful as they could be , got me to take out a call out policy which was fine .
Arranged for a engineer to come out told me the Drum had gone which I already knew.
Arranged a date for a new drum to be fitted...got a email night before giving me a 3hr slot....so got up early as it was between 7-44 to 10-44....prepared everything so when engineer came he could just crack on....about 9-15 got a email telling me the appointment had been rearranged for 4 days later...wasn't at all happy as I'd cancelled things I had planned for that day....LETS SEE IF ANYONE TURNS UP IN 4 DAYS TIME .
