AVOID this scam company at all costs! I purchased a webcam a year ago and it broke while still in warranty.
I contacted the company over 6 times and they told me to contact the seller. The seller is an Ebay seller who sold me a working camera. This is a manufacturing issue that Imou are responsible for but do not want to take responsibility for.
Worst video doorbell
Ive been a data/network engineer for over 20 years and thos must now bw some of thw worst quality kit i have ever been asked to work with. Ordered 2 of the new video doorbell kits, worked great for a few weeks, within 2 month both dosconnected from the wifi networks and nomatter what they wont re connect. Ridiculously priced generic chinese rubbish, avoid at all costs
APP stinks
after struggling with my app, which had unsynced from my account, and numerous unhelpful operators I was finally able (after 2 weeks) to find a very kind, helpful and competent lady, Veien (I'm sure I'm misspelling that) who helped me out. :)
Waste of money. Never connects.
Camera hardly ever connects with the app on mobile, tablet, or laptop. A hat trick! Totally useless if using for a security camera and dangerous if relying on instant connectivity to see anything suspicious or check on children if using as a baby monitor. Zero feedback from manufacturers or developers.

I recently noticed that a camera subscription was automatically activated and payment was deducted from my account. However, I have not yet installed the camera and have not used the service at all. In fact, I was outside the country during this time, and the camera remains turned off. When I asked them they mentioned due to apple policy they refund and when i talked to apple they said they cant refund because subscription is already made
Totally Useless
Useless. It defeats the purpose of surveillance. If I install a camera in a certain location, is because I can’t be there for whatever reason but I want to make sure nothing happens while I am gone.
But if the internet connexion is unreliable at times, this camera won’t reset or reactivate by itself. And even in my case, the camera is connected via cable to the modem, is not even wifi. Totally useless.
And not to mention that how many devices of any kind reactivate themselves when power or internet signal comes back … but not this camera. I wish I could get my money back.
No way to save videos to local network.
There is no way to set up the camera to save the image/video captures to your network. They provide an SD slot but for security reasons that is useless. They want to force you to subscribe per month. These kind of tactics are slimy.

Everything works perfectly fine as long as you have a subscription, as soon as I got memory cards for the camera it literally NEVER works.
Absolutely useless
Absolutely useless. The camera works just fine but good luck trying to get a playback. It always loads up to 99% then says playback error, try again. So you try again but it does the same thing over and over and over again until you get the hump with it and launch the camera, delete the app and give it the awful review it deserves.
Good quality picture at low cost
Good quality picture at low cost. This was the Ranger 2. However setting up the wifi network is a pain. Despite following instructions I got random error messages and had to reset the camera (reset button ridiculously hidden behind the lens) twice before it worked. Aside from that a decent indoor camera for very low price.

Difficult and Frustrating piece of kit…
Nothing is intuitive with the design of the software or the instructions. Obvious steps are missing. I have had this thing for two years. Any change in the environment seems to make the device not work. Reconfiguring is a nightmare; Deleting the device and reinstalling does work but removing the device is not easy. I have since installed a competing device which, though not that easy, is a long way better.
Unless you are an IT professional, with some patience, I think you will probably do better with a different device.

Wish I had read the reviews before buying 3. Need them to keep an eye on my disabled husband. Worked ok for a whole we even paid the monthly subscription. But now we’ve had a new router and they will not connect. Tried numerous times and just says can’t pair. What a waste of money!!!! At least I can cancel the subscription anyway.
Terrible quality security cameras
Terrible quality security cameras, indoor one well looked after didnt even make it through the warranty before giving up. What do you expect buying cheap chinese cr*p. When contacted customer service they were no help at all and have had more intelligent conversations with my cat. Do not recommend one bit.
I’m extremely disappointed with this…
I’m extremely disappointed with this camera. When I first got it, the Wi-Fi connection worked great, and it was one of the main features I relied on. But now it doesn’t connect to Wi-Fi at all! I’ve tried everything—resetting it, updating the firmware—and nothing works. The worst part is the customer service. It’s awful! Nobody seems to care or even try to help. I reached out multiple times and got nothing but generic excuses. For the price I paid, this is completely unacceptable. I strongly advise against buying this brand altogether. Save yourself the frustration and go with a more reliable option.
False advertising
Revised review. False advertising! Very good camera for the cost. Twice I bought a Cell Go camera advertised with 365 days cloud storage. Both times I received a Cell Go Full Color with only 30 days cloud storage. I have now been refunded in full. The explanation being, " we are sorry that your product was sent incorrectly due to the alternating shipment of the new and old versions of Cell go". If your being offered 365 day cloud storage, and that being your reason to purchase, be aware, chances are it will only be 30.
Great range of cameras
Exceeded expectations. I have been looking to upgrade some aging TP-Link cameras and thought the IMOU bullet outdoor camera looked well specified for the price point. I was not disappointed and the camera has performed flawlessly for over a year.
I now have 3 outdoor PTZ cameras too and a doorbell all from IMOU. The most recent addition was a dual outdoor PTZ & fixed lens camera. The intention being to situate at a gated have the fixed lens directed to the entrance and the PTZ inside the property. I am pleased with the dual lens unit but be warned that the notifications from the 2 cameras are not fully independent. You cannot turn on notifications from one lens and simply record on motion activation on the other. This was slightly disappointing as I anticipated they would act as 2 independent cameras
