Same people run these unlock sites, be careful!

Word to the wise: A number of these unlock websites seem to be the same people.

I tried to unlock my phone with EMEI Doctor and waited for 7 days, only to receive a message that they FAILED to unlock it.

Next, I tried this service "Direct Unlocks" and after paying again, TWICE, as with this service, I was taken to a tracking page that looks identical to EMEI Doc's and now I'm again told it will take 7 days!

And here's the thing: the message EMEI Doctor showed me (that they CANNOT unlock the phone) is visible in DirectUnlocks' status update page!

Same people got me twice! I was stupid for doing it.

I assume nothing will be unlocked this time either. , but who knows, after seven days they may prove me wrong…

it's a legal Trick

it's a legal Trick. They only take the money, but they can't decode the phone When It is with ICloud sperre l.When you check your phone, it's completely clean, but after you pay them, they write back that the phone is reported as stolen or lost, which is a lie. After that, they continue to swipe the your money and they say that it can still be decoded with a premium membership. Then, if you pay, they won't answer the other emails, but they won't decode your phone either. A big piece of sh.t

SCAM! Don't Even Visit This Den Of Thieves.

I only got suckered in to the FIRST part of this two part (or possibly 3 or 4 part), blatant scam.
Found the site by searching 'unlock code for Telstra Australia Samsung Galaxy A20'.
This 'IMEIDoctor' appeared at the top of the search results, so I immediately clicked on it and entered the phone's IMEI code in the box, then had to pay AU$42.00 to get (what I expected), would be the vital unlock code to be sent to my e-mail.
An e-mail arrived fairly promptly after my credit card payment was approved, but alas the e-mail informed me it was only 50% complete. The same e-mail also informed me that to obtain the unlock code, I would need to pay a further AU$115.00. So, I naively went ahead and TRIED to make this 'final payment' with the same credit card I used for the first part, but it was rejected I tried again - same result: card declined - contact issuing bank.
So I contacted my bank and asked why my credit card payment was declined, when only a few minutes earlier, a payment made to the same trader 'IMEIDoctor' went straight through, without a hitch.

Long story short, the telephone consultant asked me questions like 'Do you know much about this vendor?' 'Have you done business with them before?' and a few other similar questions, to which I honestly answered 'No' to all. He then explained that the bank had received a significant number of complaints about this particular vendor, relating to fraudulent, or at least suspicious activities, such as not delivering products or services paid for; thus they'd placed a 'red alert' on any second transaction attempts, which not only declined my attempt to pay (waste) $115.00 to them, it also locked my card out for all online transactions.
After several very detailed and thorough security and identity checks were passed, the bank's telephone consultant finally released the lock on my card, but sternly warned me about online scammers and fraud.
After that I came here, to Trustpilot and found the numerous, disturbing SCAM reports below.

I then called Telstra Australia and gave them the IMEI code. The telephone advisor said it was indeed a Telstra locked prepaid phone, but as it was more than 2 years old, Telstra would provide the unlock code FREE OF CHARGE.
However, for the same reason (>2 years old), he couldn't generate the unlock code 'on the spot' anymore and had to e-mail the 'Unlock Escalation' team to provide the code, meaning I have to wait 5 to 10 business days to receive the code in my e-mail and/or SMS on my phone.
The Telstra consultant also emphasised that the ONLY way to get an unlock code for their phones is from them - from Telstra. NOT some shonky website, based overseas that makes you pay some exorbitant fee to procure a code they cannot possibly provide. Claiming they are able to provide unlock codes is 100% fraud and sadly there are many of them scamming many thousands of people on a daily basis all over the Internet.
The bottom line is these online CROOKS simply cannot generate the unlock codes.
ONLY the original OEM can provide the unlock codes. This applies to all phones and all mobile phone service providers, i.e. Telstra, Optus, Vodafone, AT&T, etc..
