Deceptive & Un-American Business Practices from “I Love My Freedom”

I’m writing this because what this company is doing is flat-out unethical, misleading, and un-American.

I ordered what I thought was a simple one-time product — a Trump-branded tumbler — from I Love My Freedom. What I didn’t realize is that hidden deep in their fine print was a “subscription” scam that started charging my card $19.99 every single month afterward without my clear consent or awareness.

I never received a single confirmation email, subscription notice, or reminder that I was being billed monthly. Absolutely nothing. I only noticed the pattern after seeing multiple charges on my statement.

After contacting customer service, I learned this so-called “membership” was supposedly connected to my one-time tumbler order. Since then, I’ve found dozens of identical complaints on the Better Business Bureau, proving this isn’t an isolated mistake — it’s a pattern. They’re quietly enrolling people in recurring payments, relying on small print and people’s trust in their patriotic branding.

And that’s what makes this so disgusting: this company markets itself around freedom, patriotism, and American values — even tying its products to Trump and other conservative figures. Yet their business model is the exact opposite of what those values stand for.
Freedom means transparency, honesty, and choice.
There’s nothing “pro-freedom” about hiding subscriptions in fine print and preying on people’s trust.

This isn’t just shady — it’s illegal under the Restore Online Shoppers’ Confidence Act (ROSCA) and Federal Trade Commission (FTC) rules, which require companies to clearly disclose recurring payment terms before taking payment and get explicit consent from customers. Sneaking it into the fine print during a $5 promo is not consent — it’s deception.

I’ve requested a full refund for all unauthorized charges, not just one. If they fail to resolve this, I’ll be filing official complaints with the FTC and state consumer protection agencies, and I encourage others who’ve been misled to do the same.

For a company called “I Love My Freedom,” this is a shameful way to do business. It’s slimy, it’s predatory, and it’s the opposite of what freedom means.

The T shirts were not of a high quality cotton, were rough and itchy, and the embroidery on the hats made the hat pucker and buldge.

It is of good quality and looks like it will hold together well
