I received a 6 month subscription as a gift… But whilst I’ve enjoyed the gins, the subscription part was a bit clunky. However my biggest issue is with the packaging…the huge chunks of plasticky foam sponge blocks (four in each box), which can only be put into landfill are horrific for the environment. In a time when most other companies are trying to reduce their environmental impact from postage materials (even Amazon), this feels like an outright rebellion or a step back in time. It doesn’t feel like a progressive or modern feeling set up at all. I could almost cry, having to stuff those huge foam blocks into my landfill bin each month. If it weren’t for the fact this was a gift, I would never otherwise willingly subscribe to a subscription which would send out such landfill waste each month.

Gift wrapping very very VERY poor. Do not pay extra cost for gift wrapping, it was an absolute rip off! Which I literally did....I unwrapped and wrapped it again myself. Haha

Amazing products that make perfect gifts - I had an issue with Royal Mail during my order, but the online team were so helpful and resolved the problem quickly. Great communication and customer service.

5 star review but want to add advice for others with older parents friends receiving the gift. The first box arrived fine - lovely Gin, great presentation and no problems.

My only issue is with Redeeming the 5 months that follow. You need to 'add' a 6 month subscription to your basket (the recipient then sees you have paid £70 for their present which is not right) then 'pay' with a voucher code. Then enter bank card details for a £0.00 payment. As a gift this doesn't sit right with me that the recipient should do all this to get the next 5 gins delivered. Perhaps add an option to automatically send the next 5 months with no intervention is it is a gift after all and you provide the delivery address for month 1.
Anyway, still 5 * just hope they get this bit smoother

I think this is a fab company! The monthly range of gins have been all different so I have tried a wide variety of gins and tonics too. The weekly emails are informative and give you ideas about how you can cook with gin or what garnishes you could have with the gin. I have bought the subscription for friends too. It is very good value for money and a great monthly treat.

Love trying new gins and also buying extra boxes as gifts for friends. They make brilliant presents.

Well packaged, good variety, and a sensible amount to have each month, rather than a whole bottle of just one sort of gin.

nice and cheap for a monthly delivery of G&T. I've had 1 box so far, the gin was lovely, (gooseberry) which i've never tried but plan on buying more of - you can buy full size bottles from I Love Gin too. The tonic was also nice and was even slimline which is fab as i prefer sugar free mixers.

All in all, it's not going to leave you skint at the end of the month and you'll have some a nice present through your letter box when it arrives.

I really do love gin, and ilovegin.com is a superb way of tasting new gins without having to buy a full size bottle. To me it represents great value for money, and I’d highly recommend them!
