Do not use Illinois Lift Equipment

Do not use Illinois Lift Equipment! We purchased a used forklift from them in February of this year for about $13,000. When the forklift arrived, it had problems and they would not repair them:

~there was a leaking transmission filter
~the hydraulics were leaking
~a hydraulic pulley was broken
~battery died after one use of the lift
~wire harness damage - exposed wires and melted plastic - clear signs of fire damage

On top of the physical problems, there were error lights on the dashboard. These issues either were not found with their inspections or not disclosed by the company in advance.
The company will not take responsibility. This company does not care about quality products and doing the right thing. They don't care about their customers and NO ONE should use them as a vendor. I can honestly say this is the WORST customer support I have ever experienced in my career. Don't waste your time or money and look elsewhere.

Illinois Lift Equipment Sucks!!

Purchased a used forklift from Illinois Lift Equipment and received it on 10,31 2025. The machine was dropped off in front of my business. We were shown how to start the machine and then the person driving the truck doing deliveries left. We started trying to use the functions of the forklift and immediately realize that the buttons on the instrument pod were destroyed. This leaves us unable to access several features of the forklift, which was not disclosed to us prior to our purchase After running machine for about an hour the horn stopped working a sensor went off, and the brakes were very weak. The sensor that started beeping at us was the NOX sensor, which must be some part of the machines engine. I immediately reached out to this company right after we took delivery and they refused to replace any of the damaged parts. The only thing they’re offering is to rewire the lights to a switch so we don’t need the pod for them but this doesn’t fix the main concerns of access to the pod itself. The pod requires a password to go through the settings of the lift. They don’t have the password, and we couldn’t put in if we had it. I wouldn’t trust this company to buy anything from ever again. I plan to fight to get the money to replace the instrument pod and I also offered to trade this forklift for another one, but they know they can’t sell it if they make people aware that the pod is damaged. This is a critical part of the unit, but they don’t seem to believe so. Don’t buy from them, by local. Don’t buy a Clark S32C with a damaged instrument pod. I have a feeling more things are going to break on this forklift before the month is up, but they don’t honor their warranties anyway. No disclosure, no warranty and no help.
