The app for the ikea family credit card is useless!
The app for the ikea family credit card is useless!
I have changed my telephone number so I can't log in but there's absolutely no way to speak to anyone!
There's a credit on this account from a task rabbit cancellation which I was already cross about and I can't get it, I've waited months!
I just want my money back!!

What are they hiding?
SImilar experience to others who have reviewed. Have been paying by direct debit for years, but no sign of a statement. I stopped my DD because I wanted to see my transactions/statement and be in control of the payments. They cannot provide a statement or access to my online account. And they keep sending letters to say that I've been charged a late payment fee, despite the fact that I've been paying 4 or 5 times the minimum payment each month. Why is it so difficult to send a statement and why am I not permitted to access my account? I lodged a complaint which apparently takes at least 8 weeks to investigate. Why??? Also, all the links they send in their letters for help functions go to 'service unavailable'. Seems there may be some scam operating here?!! Next step - Ombudsman. Please note: I have provided Ikano with the details of the complaint, so that they know this is a genuine review. I wonder if they will do anything?!!
Update: see their reply - NSS! I already said I’d lodged a complaint. The idea is to find a solution!!!🙄

I had a store card with Newlook which no longer exists the card had a small credit limit on it. I had not used this card for many years but have been paying Ikano monies every month through a direct debit. I requested a statement from Ikano so to find out how much was owing and gave them 7 days to respond and if they did not I would stop the direct debit which I did. Mean while still no statement but letters saying they were charging me a fee of £12 for late payment. Also they have contacted my partner who is not the account holder for payment reminders? They can send me these letters about non payment but not a statement ? What have they to hide

Absolutely shambolic customer service
Absolutely shambolic customer service, on going issue with heating, third party company the bank paid, then had problems with the install, orignally said the would help, this was after 3 months of me emailing with no response, the said the would treat as a priority, that didnt happen, they were then going to support a claim, the 5 months after that decided they were not going to help and i'm on my own, so unprofessional, beyond any customer service ive ever experienced, so poor, awful company, will never use them again.
Clearly just a robotic response as most of the reviews are about Ikano washing there hands of any customer satisfaction!!
Ive spent 14 months trying to resolve and issue and you're response is please contact to help. . I honestly believe your customer sevice should be renamed "we never action feedback" and thank you for your business, really are a joke company...

Trap to get you pay interset
Trap to get you pay interset on your purchases. It is nothing like a bank credit card with clear advantages of e.g. interest free purchases for so many months. There are no clear terms and conditions prior to application presented to customers. It doesn't explain that you can only have only one installment plan at a time and also that a purchase has to be over £300 to have it spread out across 10 months and not just 3. I wish I haven't applied.
I put a complaint in which hasn't been dealt with. Customer services don't know the product very well using the excuse that it is a new product - the whole experience is very strange.
Now, I have to come with the repayment money to pay off the outstanding balance before any interest is due as I didn't benefit from implied interest free intallment plan due to lack of information and lack of full disclosure.
I would never bother with this credit card if I knew how inferior it is compared to other credit card offers out there.

Would give them a zero if i could
Would give them a zero if i could! Not responding to my complaints, just waiting to take it to the ombudsman. Informed them that my husband has died and they keep phoning and texting for him (my phone number was linked to the account) to bring his account up to date. Sick of the harassment, they are disgusting. Update as of the 24th September, still leaving messages (2 more) for my husband and have now received a letter addressed to him threatening a late fee. Still no communication from the ‘complaints team’. I’m going to take them to court - avoid at all costs!

Applied and at the final stage it kept booting me out several times and I called them the following day and they said they will clear things up but still not working, doesn’t seem to be a good service provider.

Technical Glitches
Completed an application via their app to avail of 0% interest on Ikea purchases. All was promising until the final stage the app had an internal error and kicked me back saying try again later.
Thought I would try again and same thing happened again. After reading reviews this seems a common occurrence that the app is very glitchy erroring at different parts of the application process.
Unfortunately for me it was at this stage and a few minutes later received an email from Experian to confirm two hard credit searches despite there being no actual applications submitted or determined due to the internal errors or so I thought.
The following day I got an email to confirm that I was approved. The link didn't take me anywhere. Logging in also didn't show anything.
After contacting customer services they confirmed that after this stage I just had to attempt do another request under the same email and this should recognise the one in the system. It did and all worked fine from there.

A bank with no moral code
I had a loan with this bank for my solar panels the company folded and this bank refused to help or take any responsibility for the fall out. I would never use them again.

Horrible service (amended to okay)
***update 28.07
Ikano got in touch to apologise (at least), but it does not change my frustration and embarrassing moments that faced at store with my shops. But as it was resolved, I will amend the rate.
Horrible service. I attempted at store to buy a few items using my Ikano credit, and I was stopped at till because couldn't receive such text message. I am now trying to forward my shops online, and can't receive SMS to process the payment. It is a joke service.

Update to my claim well so I think claim
Update to my previous reviews now even the company who provided the sofas (SCS) have admitted to manufacturing defects and admitted that they acknowledge and accept my furniture inspection report yet IKANO bank still refuse to acknowledge anything. They fail to acknowledge that under section 75 of the consumer credit act 1974 they are jointly liable for any breach or misrepresentation of contract made by the supplier of the goods I have purchased on finance. And now in writing SCS have admitted they acknowledge the furniture had manufacturing defects yet they still will not assist with a successful section 75 and even though they know the goods are indeed faulty, not fit for purpose and misold to myself still proceed to take payments from myself with today being the most recent.
I honestly fail to see how this company can provide financial services they write there own laws and regulations it seems I've asked for 2 weeks now to be contacted and have this rectified yet they ignore all requests or send a email with completely opposite information hiding behind the financial ombudsman who every time I have queried and spoken to have said it's not the case that they cannot contact me they can certainly speak to me in regards to my case just more lies and corruption again.
Once again I urge you to fulfil your obligations under the consumer credits act 1974 and fulfil your obligation also to me under the consumer rights act 2015 for the goods not being fit for purpose, being misold to myself, being of unsatisfactory quality and also a previous repair failing and same fault occurring in all additional seating.
You only last week told me my report was inconclusive yet the retailer accepted and admitted to these faults and faults being present within the first 30 days of ownership yet you told me I had no case or no claim showing corruption yet again.
Honestly I can never see this company doing the correct legal thing if you value your sanity and want a company to abide by the laws look elsewhere.

UPDATE: LOOK AT THEIR RESPONSE - I went to the link - PAGE NOT FOUND - Don't waste my time any further!!
Don't respond saying please contact us, I wont.
My husband just called because you emailed saying you cant find our account - even though we sent you the account number, date of payment of settlement and someone emails back and says they cant find it - my husband rang and said please email my wife to confirm all settled - youve had the money circa 5 days - told it will take up to 3 weeks to be processed - UTTER RUBBISH - so DD has been cancelled as weve settled it to the bank you advised us to. We will NOT EVER use Ikano again - pathetic service!

The customer service is horrendous
The customer service is horrendous. I brought something off ikea and was up to date with my payments. They’re saying a direct debit was cancelled which I hadn’t cancelled myself and they couldn’t take payment. I had made the payment a few days later by just transferring the money to them which was my last payment of £8, they added on a £12 late fee and then another £12 late fee. I had only received a letter for the £12 late payment fee. Once I called them they said it was £24 I owed them of late payment fees! I just ended up making the payment because I couldn’t be bothered with the hassle although I felt like it was wrong of them to even ask for this payment although they knew I hadn’t missed a payment. Had the account closed down and will never use them again.

Never again
For 4 and a half years a had zero problems untill a bank glitch returned my direct debit unbeknownst to me. Cue at least 15 letters of threats and late fees even after the outstanding balance was paid. IKANO bank are scammers who look for any excuse to extort more and more money and will pounce at the first sign of weakness. all without giving a way to check balances online or actually speak to a human cause they never answer the phone or reply to emails the sooner I can get through the next 6 months of paying off my balance the better and people should avoid SCS, IKANO or any company associated with these companies.

If I could put a zero I would
If I could put a zero I would The aftersales has been horrendous. I ended up selling the sofas for 1/6 of the price I paid for them after 12 months as I couldn't get any response after complaining about the quality. 3 and a half years on and I still haven't heard anything even after complaining to them directly more than 10 times !
