This is a scam
This is a scam. We took our five year old son and it only included one go, the instructor asked him directly if he wanted to go again and again (costing £20 per time) and he was in tears when we had to say no. It ruined our day. After saving up for the experience we were left feeling like the bad guys for not paying more and more. They were out of order for asking our son if he wanted to go again when it wasn't included in the price. Avoid avoid avoid.

Fright to Flight
I was petrified! The staff from reception desk to the instructors were really encouraging. The pre videos and instructor pre flight chat help you to understand what to expect. Craig was a great instructor. He helped me to feel relaxed and confident to fly. So much so I opted for the high fly which was awesome. I think it's worth the money.

Indirect discrimination
It's sickening that it's twice the price for the shortest flight in London than it is in Manchester or elsewhere (£100 instead of £50 on the same day).

Totally excellent experience for both myself and my daughter, the staff were so friendly and made us feel relaxed for this experience.

Loved it!
First, I find the 1 star reviews hilarious. "I didn't read the details or engage at all with the experience and it's definitely someone else's fault". Ignore them, iFly is amazing. It costs money to run a ginormous fan, provide kit and pay experienced instructors. You're buying an experience, not a Gregg's sausage roll.
that said, had an amazing flight with Craig at the O2. The process up until that flight was clear, the comms were great and even sent reminders. Arrival was friendly and efficient. We got suited up and felt very confident in the instruction and what was to happen. The flight itself was amazing. Craig worked extra hard to ensure everyone felt they had done a brilliant job (even if we were all over the place). Everyone clapped and cheered as everyone else came out of the tunnel. Great experience, great guide. Highly recommended. Best bit is, I can now rest relatively peacefully knowing I can probably look in control / cool if I was thrown out of a plane. May not last long, but you can't have everything.

Will was a great instructor with clear instructions and spent time with us outside the tunnel to explain the techniques.

Instructor Jordan was brilliant
We took our daughters to ifly for their birthday treats and it really didn’t disappoint. Jordan was their instructor who was just brilliant all round. So much fun and highly recommend.

Scam
Very disappointing paying a very expensive ticket and be able to do only 1 min in total of posture, close to the floor, grabbed by the amazing instructor David. I have been asked to pay £20 more in order to go higher for 5 sec. Ridiculous. I won’t coming back. Wasted time and money. No worthy at all.

I-fly Basingstoke what a terrible experience
My daughter had 4 minutes of flight time booked, and my son 2. Instructor suggested she takes the 4 minutes as 2 of 2min. My daughter didn't get on well, so she was in the wind tunnel for 30 sec first time, then 40 sec the second. The instructor did not offer her to try again (and again), so she can at least have 4 goes (4 attempts at 1min), and she didn't offer my son extra time (he absolutely loved it and did very well in there).
I felt we were robbed tbh, considering they're selling one minute flight at £14 as a discounted rate. I contacted the centre after, to be told they can only go with CCTV and the instructor's word, and they said that they offered my son extra time which is an outright lie.
They've said they cannot offer refunds as the vouchers were "booked and flown". I have had a few emails back and forth with a receptionist. The manager, despite initially emailing me to query my low score on feedback form, has not engaged in the conversation at all.
My son also wanted to do the hifly add-on, and got overlooked. Despite the fact that I knocked on the glass and brought it to the instructor's attention, and she understood me, she proceeded to do the instructor demo flight.
On both counts I have basically been called a liar (the instructor's account was different to mine), although they referred to it as a "misunderstanding".
It is a shame, as the experience itself looks awesome. But given our experience I would not recommend i-fly Basingstoke! I drove for 2 hrs to get there for the experience, what saved the day was the Aquadrome next door!

Terrible experience
Terrible experience my daughter was so excited to do this flight but was scared by the instructor putting a signal so close to her face she left the tunnel in tears as she missed her high flight. The company will not help as we would love to come back but theh want to charge us more that we paid for the first flight! All in all we spent over £100 that day including fuel and she flew for 1 minute! Update....we contacted customer service and they suggested a deal to come back which worked put to be even more than we had paid. Thanks ifly for suggesting we contact CS! You type your replies on your negative reviews as if you care and you don't, you are just a money making machine who doesn't actually care about the customer

Utterly underwhelming and disappointing experience
The most expensive 2 minutes I've ever paid for. Bought a flight experience for my 9 year old son. In total he was in the wind tunnel for 2 minutes. At the end the instructor asked who wanted to do some additional extra with him for £14 to fly up and down etc. This we were expecting and looking forward to and what is shown on all the marketing videos. However my 9 year old son is in the chamber and the parents outside and he didn't know what to say. Why didn't they ask the parents who would be paying not the 9 year old in a wind tunnel. I complained and fed this back to reception who couldn't care less. We left utterly dumbfounded and in total disbelief that this 2 minutes was the total experience. If you could call it that. If your not keen on kids and want to see them thoroughly disappointed, this is the place for you.

Utterly ripped off
Utterly ripped off. Four people at £285, plus we were upsold to go a little higher for extra £10 each (within allocated time). Total time was less than 2 mins each, so £40 per MINUTE. I know this cost included a few grainy photos and a few secs of video, but this is all digital, no quality hard copies. Our Instructor, however, did an AMAZING job. She was great and this review is no reflection on her doing her job well.

Our experience today with Jordan as our instructor was brilliant. I didn’t realise it was so difficult and Jordan made me feel very uncomfortable in the air stream. An early start as our flight was at 8 but well worth it. The instructions given by Jordan were clear and helpful. Thank you for a super experience.
The most amazing experience!
I had the most amazing experience at IFly Manchester! The staff were lovely, pleasant and welcoming, it was a great atmosphere and the experience as a whole was reasonably priced.
Leaves a lot to be desired
Leaves a lot to be desired! We had an instructor called Zac who had an enormous ego and no interest in making sure the guests enjoyed their very expensive experience. Ive been before and enjoyed it but never again. Both myself and my kids had loads of time unassisted last time but Zac basically never let anyone go and got in the way for the whole session. He didn’t even step away for long enough to get a picture of the kids flying solo.
The other instructors take you right up to the top of the tunnel if you opt for the hi fly but Zac takes you just twice and only half way up the tunnel for the princely sum of an extra £10. What they don’t point out is that the hi fly is carried out within the time you have already paid for, you’re literally looking at 50p per second extra on top of the money you have already paid.
Zacs ego is so inflated that he decided to do a short demo of his skills in the tunnel then ushered everyone to give him a round of applause as he exited the tunnel.
I lodged a complaint at reception that the instructor had basically ruined our session. Sadly I only got to speak to an assistant who was clearly a bit thick and just repeated the same rehearsed lines like a broken record.
Don’t waste your money its really pretty lame!
First Indoor Skydive
My 14 year old son received two Indoor flights with the team at Milton Keynes on the 18th July 2022. He absolutely loved it and can't wait to go again. His Instructor, George, made the whole experience so smooth and so much more enjoyable with a terrific attitude and an engaging manner.
Not a customer focused business
Not a customer focused business.
Was given a voucher to fly as a birthday present, arrived at Basingstoke center 15 mins before the session, not 45 mins as required by the center, and was told to get lost as not enough time to get changed and instructed (i.e. to be told about the same flying rules as a mandatory pre-flight video explains in 3 mins). Objection that this indeed could be done within 15 mins was dismissed on the “computer says no” grounds.
Rules are important, especially safety ones, but common sense should prevail.
Really disappointed
Really disappointed, morale obviously low as instructors looked as though they wanted to be anywhere else but work. Our first minute was 45 seconds and the second minute we were only in the wind tunnel for 50 seconds whilst I paid an extra £10 to be elevated in the wind tunnel.
Time to change your business model IFLY as we were offered half price returns and yet you could offer it free and we wouldn't want to come. I would suggest you have less people through the door, give longer flights and motivate your staff - we are much more likely to return. I hope this review helps

Absolute rip off don't waste your money, bought as a present with a media voucher. The only decent part to it is the high fly & they want £10;00 extra for something that lasts 20 seconds. The pictures are crap and the video can only be described as a joke. The staff are great but I doubt anyone would go twice
