Cheap & Great Hardware

I have been using Idatam to host my Servers now for about 5 months. It took a bit to get my machine at fkrst (to be fair, I did place the order the day before Christmas Eve and got it 5 days after) but has been a pleasent experience since then

Other than that, the service has honestly been great, no lag, no downtimes ever, no outages, while keeping a stable, cheap price!

Support team is decent, you will have to wait a bit if you try to contact them outside their working hours, but that should be expected

Bad reselling story

This is a company that resells the services of other hosting companies. They don't have their own networks, their own server control panel. All they have is support that responds for hours.

We had a situation where we overdue the invoice payment - the server was turned on only after a few hours.

The following month, we paid the invoice on time, but the server was turned off exactly on the payment date (it was paid in the control panel)

I wrote to the support to find out the reason for the shutdown of the server on February 5th, and received the following threat:

"Our company maintains a zero-tolerance policy regarding aggressive or abusive behavior. We reserve the right to terminate services and this contract without prior notice if professional conduct standards are not met. We strongly advise you to act with patience. Otherwise, we reserve the full right to terminate the contract between you and us without any prior notice.

Please be advised that a warning has already been issued to you, and it is final and not open to dispute.

So far, we have been unable to identify any indication that your server went down, and a detailed investigation is required to determine this. This is a complex process. Therefore, we are unable to provide an ETA for a response at this time. We hereby inform you to take the above-mentioned warning very seriously.

If you want your servers to run erratically, shut down once a month and you overpay for the lack of service, use this service. In other cases, I do not recommend it.

Sales team don't want new clients

Their sales team didn't even wanted to talk to me after I asked about emails sending.

We have CRM system and it is working for more than 10 years by now. So we have many customers who use the CRM. Our system sends some automated emails about the events that happen in the system (payments, bookings, billing and other). Offcourse we need some quotes to send emails. But sales team of this provider just thought that we are spammers and ended talk. Didn't even try to know us better, didn't even asked about our CRM system name and our site.

By examining the content of your chat messages there, it has appeared that you are using this server for email marketing. Because of that, our sales team has refused to give you the server. Spamming is strictly prohibited on our network and no one has any space for it.

Also your style of speaking is suspicious. However, if you intend to buy the server in order not to send spam email and if your server does not receive abuse complaints and IP blacklist, we can provide the server. You should also prove your identity and the transparency of your company. If you need further details in this regard, please contact our sales team again.
