Awful experience

Awful experience. The facial recognition and id verification was terrible. Maybe if someone is very comfortable with technology, it would be okay. I struggled. The person I spoke with was dismissive and very unhelpful. He cut me off as I was trying to change my picture settings. Terrible customer service. Discouraging that we have to deal with this.

I am generally skeptical about online identity security and Identity theft. Despite encouraging efforts to trust the security measures, online ID security, ID theft and cyber hacking continues to be a thing.

Violating my rights to my own personal information

The first issue I had was every time it took a picture of my ID it kept saying it wasn't perfect so I had to constantly keep redoing it. The biggest issue was at the end it asked to share my personal information a long list of my personal information with other parties which I said no and so it would not let me access my own tax return which violated my constitutional rights to be able to see my personal information not to mention my constitutional right not to share my information.

Absolute garbage

Absolute garbage. I had to stare at my screen for an hour to not lose my place in line to reach chat support. I mean literally stare at a blank white screen for an entire hour so it didn't close out to talk to some one. Along with that I had to do video verification. I'm being forced to use ID me to file my TAXES! and the support center you have to verify through is not even in America. I'm understanding of protecting identities but this an extreme hassle and not worth the Tax Dollars.

I found the experience easy and quick

I found the experience easy and fairly quick. Having a disability and limited use of one hand. I had started on an iPad. When it came time for the photo and video verifications, I had to switch to the cell phone. And the smaller size vs iPad made using the camera and video easier. I was successful on my first attempts and was verified quickly.

Registration Process

I found the steps to the registration process secure and thorough and well worth the time. Each step is guided with clear directions on the needed documentation. Once the process is completed and access is generated, there are many sites that can be reached for specific information in the future.

Absolutely awful

Absolutely awful. Took three weeks to get back to me to do a necessary live video or selfie and then it didn't accept my phone as legit for some reason. Two months in now I can't access ID.me at all for any purposes. I was trying to get/upload IRS info. Seems I've signed in a dozen times and uploaded my DL 3x and get nowhere.
