Moderators with access to the database are bullying users in the main room for having multiple screen names over a very long period of time. I'm talking about Snoopy who sent a list of all the names recorded from the IP of a public computer I was using, assuming that was me, disclosing in public some of those names and attracting various degrading comments. But let's say this, even if any user decides to log in under different screen names for the past year, this is his right to choose and he or she shouldn't become the laughing stock in a public chat room. He was laughing and saying chill bro, it's only chat!

After engaging on this network for nearly a month, I find it to be a rather unproductive experience. Here are a few reasons why:

1) The chat is excessively controlled by operators who restrict engaging conversations, prohibiting topics like politics, sports, current events, and cultural exchange. The focus is narrowed to mundane discussions such as weather conditions, limiting any meaningful dialogue.

2) The network is vulnerable to trolling attacks, with operators seemingly unable to effectively counteract these disruptions. There are suspicions that some of the network tormentors may be operators themselves, operating under pseudonyms. For instance, a recent addition to the team from Florida, known for supporting MAGA and Trump in other networks, is believed to be the same individual responsible for trolling with conspiracy theories under the alias VoX.

3) A user under the pseudonym MrBadGuy frequently receives information messages about alleged illegal activities in other networks. While the veracity of these accusations remains uncertain, they cast doubt on the overall decency of the network's user base.

4) Another notice highlights an individual named SirAlmond, accusing him of being a scammer targeting single mature women. The message provides details about SirAlmond's purported past activities across various networks.

These instances illustrate why I discourage others from joining this platform.

Chat has its cons and props.
Props: I can message and seduce young european teens without censorship. Dickpicks are not banned.

Cons: 1) Admin TNTease forces me to listen her crappy music on radio channel, elsewise I can be banned 2) Ops demanded me to show a dickpic to stay not banned. 3) Admins force me to leave positive feedback on sites like this. But I'm not scared anymore.

I was banned for mentioning the name "Agnieszka" in private conversation with my girlfriend. When I create a ticket to cancel the meaningless ban, admins admitted they removed an innocent Polish name Agnieszka from the black list but refused to unban me. When I asked "why?" they replied in a rude form "You are not welcome!".

In other words they have inadequate moderators, they allow spammers to flood channels and do not see racism, homophobia, pedophilia and hate speech of local users. The site is insane, don't waste your time and keep your children away from that wasteland. I regret I ever visited it.

Great chat with great staff

Many topics are discussed on #chat from music to romance and other things, can sometimes have a great laugh there and the mods/ircops work hard to try and keep the place troll free and although they try hard some trolls and stirrers get in

I loved this chat but, and I am sure I am not alone in saying this, I did find it somewhat "addictive." As a result I asked to be banned, which they were reluctant to do, and then, when I was ready to re-engage they refused. I was not abusive to anyone, yes including the moderators/owners ( they are after all human, something they could perhaps remember themselves.) I would not normally take time to voice my concerns but i feel that it is as well to be cautious of their "if you don't like it then LEAVE" views. I have met some very lovely people in this room and it is with sadness that I find their POWER to be used in the manner which I experienced. Had I been a nasty chatter I could have elicited a short ban, but I preferred to use my intelligence to deal with what I admit are my own issues. it is a shame when people abuse power, a shame but not a surprise. And yes, I did ask politely.

The chat is mostly taken over by an arrogant group who already know each other from the former real ICQ chat. At different times it's Asians, Australians, British, or Americans. Level of chat = shallow and superficial. New people aren't welcome. Intelligent topics (Science, History, Politics) are unwanted. Usually only small talk, the weather or primitive flirting is rated as a chat-friendly atmosphere. Unscientific fake informed chat is supported by one of the chat owners, who is Trumpsupporter also. The admins are mostly busy with themselves. Especially bad a Canadian female as a moderator who can't even fulfill the moderation because she is too busy to get all the attention herself. Her own suggestive sexual way of chat gets warned if others do same. All in all, if you really want to chat beyond all shallowness, this chat is absolutely unsuitable. Guests with a left-wing political attitude are devalued, right-wing sentiments and conspiracy theorists in discussions are not restricted by the moderators and admins. The chat operators kick with greatest arrogance sometimes even without a warning, very much biased about whom they like and whom not, depends on how much you bootlick them.
If you are a German speaker you can use the #Germany chat also. Unfortunately, there is no protection against perverse private messages, just like in the English-speaking #chat. Age rating is 15+, so adults be aware whom you chat with!!!!, because the age restriction is not controlled. All in all, this chat is questionable, dubious, biased and not really for people with higher education level.

A cheekiness
A cheek, how one is treated there. Racism, insults and coercion are apparently normal there. Any accusations and suspicions are invented, which do not even correspond to the truth.
To complain is useless, because the so-called complaint form does not work (how should it, if you do not even get a ticket number) or because complaints are simply ignored and sometimes even dismissed as spinning.
My opinion: Some of the self-appointed moderators are sometimes very arrogant and convinced of themselves (exceptions prove the rule). When they are in a bad mood, they look for someone to vent their frustration on and then start banning people arbitrarily and without any reason (or real evidence). Sad that such people are allowed to work there at all. I have never seen so much incompetence.
Too bad that you can not give 0 stars here. Because, this chat has not even earned 1 star.

I don't usually write reviews for chatrooms but I should warn people.

I decided to give chatrooms one last chance but here's a warning: the moderators condone and ignore racist, sexist and even sexual harassment from chatters that belong in their clique group.

There have also been random bans - I've experienced it twice and this last time, I was banned from submitting a ticket. I was z-lined for flooding, which I wasn't. Maybe it was a technical error, but a gut feeling that one of the moderators ( one of the owners) doesn't like me very much.

I am outspoken, mature and full of integrity. Unfortunately, a lot of people in their clique group are not this way and if you challenge their behavior, you are deemed troublesome or strange.

There's a few male chatters that are also drug addicts with low self esteem. They prey on new women chatters - to find a love interest. It's very sick. If you say you are not interested, they'll pursue more and even harrass you. Moderators do nothing about it.

All in all, I live my life on the basis of peace, quiet and mutual respect. It's hard finding that online.

Unfortunately, I have met some really nice people that I will miss, but it's not worth it if I cannot chat in peace.

I came to this Chatroom without expectations.... However as months passed by I got this impression that the channels and its server is being protected by people who volunteered for this job and I admire their job well done.. I found amazing beautiful people here with great personality but we can be never please all though from time to time it's a good learning to know this people and find a great deal of friendship which starts as virtual and great bond .... Thanks admin / Chanops/ Botops Job well Done thanks for the server we can have great time with people who has same interest and who knows might find love ......

Over controlled , voice concerns and you’re banned for channel harassment. They have rules that the ircops and moderators continually twist.
They might be quick to deal with racism , but they constantly confuse nationalism with racism.
Favouritism is high on the moderators agenda to protect the instigators that create issues , make other chatters react. Those chatters are then banned.
The worst moderators are kentuckychick, vibes, devilish and inca. They constantly break their own rules to persecute chatters that their instigators dislike.
Some of the ircops are no better, chris will be having a bad day so he takes out his anger on innocent chatters . Matrix likes to constantly kill users connections without just cause.
I’ve been chatting on here for 5 years and it’s getting worse , putting in suggestions gets you banned, trying to discuss and work out issues gets you banned. I’m done.
Plenty of better servers out there so give this one a miss.

Good morning chatters - you will probably recognise me under my more commonly used BEF nick. I googled ICQ-chat and came across these reviews of the server which I read with interest.

One rather nasty one stands out as not only does it take aim at the staff (who provide our chat experience on a totally voluntary basis) and call me paranoid but it makes some outrageously venomous unfounded allegations against a so-called clique. Seems a very underhanded way to go about voicing your opinion ... particularly when the 'aggrieved chatter' likes to be a puppet in the background stirring where problems dont exist. Quite frankly I fear for her grasp on reality! Her BFF had to be removed from the server for trolling. You can judge a person by the company they keep ..

But I digress and sink to her level - my apologies! The purpose of this review is not to name and shame a chatter. Many of you use the site regularly and though, like any chat site, it has its limitations I personally keep coming back because its a nice little community.

Please repay their kindness and patience in hosting our village of reprobates and post if not entirely positive then constructive reviews. Lord knows I don't get on with all the OPs etc but I do recognise this is a private site - we are not asked to pay for the privilege - but we can at least respect that they give up one our most valuable commodities - time - so we can have fun! Call it a thank you or early 5th birthday present. .

Gabby's commentary was not about the incident, but about AFTER the incident. Commentary from one of the server owners about not making waves or commenting about a situation she wasn't talking about. Gabby was very happy with how Mark resolved the issue and was happy to let the incident go away. I am satisfied with chat and I am content with Chanops and ops.

Great place to chat with friends. Like any other chat ya have your problems and people you have to put on ignore (trolls, spammers & chatters who lie or cause unneeded drama) but you can't blame a site for that those types of chatters they are everywhere. Have a problem let the ops know and it will be dealt with. This is my main chat and I enjoy my time here. <3 JadedEyez

Mark I do appreciate you at least admitting it happened and that I was not in the wrong. Sometimes it better to have things out in the open and not try to sweep them under the carpet as if they didn't exist.

You have invited all reviews, i hope you are prepared for a bluntly honest one.
I came to ICQ, maybe a year ago, because friends had moved here to chat. I still come to chat with those friends, and have made new friends also.
However, the channel has been controlled by a clique of chatters who are racist, controlling, malicious and manipulative. And who seemingly enjoy the protection of certain Chanops and Icorps.
I have approached ops about behaviours in the channel, to have one particular op tell me she 'must have blinked', so the racist comments continued.
I have submitted tickets to ICorps, to have concerns of racism and bullying disregarded, and therefore those behaviours have continued.
I have also had one ICorp subject me to harassment and an invasion of my privacy.
Chatters who have become so frustrated at the bullying and harassment, and the lack of positive action from Admin, have been banned for for voicing their frustrations.
Good chatters, friendly, sociable, companionable people, have left because the racism and bullying has been condoned by Admin and particular Ops.
Chatters have been banned while they are not online, without any advice as to why they are banned, or the duration of the ban.
Many chatters are not prepared to speak out, or lodge tickets, because they have seen what happens to those who do, the victimization and harassment that ensues.
It would seem logical that an international room does NOT tolerate racism in any form, and also, to create a harmonious environment, that bullying and harassment are acknowledged and appropriate action taken to eliminate them.
The room should be moderated with fairness and without favouritism. I have been told many times there is no favouritism, well, the truth is, there certainly is... and it is well observed by all chatters in the room, It is no use to spruik at chatters about the Terms of Use, when those same rules are disregarded by some ops, and dispensed with bias.
I have been told by several members of the clique to 'f off' out of the site on several occasions, For this reason, I have declined to leave, i dont comply with bullies.
