I ordered a replacement glasses which took so long to arrive. I think covid has affected their business and especially staff availablity. You can never get to speak to someone over the phone.

A thoroughly nasty experience dealing with the proprietor of Icon. Instead of apologising for damaging my frames, he accepted no responsibility, changed his story every time we spoke and did nothing to help resolve the problem. An upsetting and costly mistake going to Icon.

Excellent, careful, eye test for which the prescription has proved to be spot on. Very good advice about lenses. Willing to use my existing frames without charging a fee. Overall, a high-quality service at a reasonable price, and I am very pleased with both my varifocal glasses and my distance glasses. I'll certainly choose Icon when I next need an eye test.

Thoughtful and personal approach. Our young son was really comfortable being seen by the optometrist and choosing his glasses. Great range of products. Couldn’t recommend highly enough.

I have always found Icon to be most helpful, finding the best solution for me at the right price. It's also a reassurance that their eye testing equipment seems to be of the best. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Dear Sean McNichol,
Apologies for the delayed reply as we were closed over the holiday and I wanted to inspect our CCTV footage (Video and audio). During the visit, you came in on the 23rd of November 2021 at 10:03am . You were here for 42minutes, I have all the footage with and all the conversation you had whilst you were in the practice. At no point you said or complained about the process, in fact you seemed quite delighted that you never had such a wonderful experience compared to other Opticians. Our testing equipment are cleaned between every patients throughly and we work by appointment only.
We came to the conclusion you needed a new pair of varifocals which you wanted to proceed. We were happy to order for you and advised you of the cost. You told us you were receiving benefits as well as your acting job and you won’t be paid till next week, we explained if you wanted us to order them next week, however you insisted to go ahead with the order because you didn’t want to delay it further.
On the 29th November, we called to advise you the glasses are ready for collection and you told us you will be here next week to collect them. We heard nothing then we sent you an email over Christmas as reminder, to which we had no response other than this review. I find this very rude as we Ordered the spectacles for you without payment as a gesture of good will. Then you had the audacity to say we were rude and unhygienic which I find quite shocking as this is the first time this has been brought to my attention in 21 years and also you showed no signs of this but delight during your visit. If you want I can upload the video and audio of your visit for everybody to review.
We will also be sending you an email separately regarding the cost.
