We recently upgraded our two-bedroom apartment with beautiful furniture from Icon By Design. The transformation has been remarkable—our property now looks stunning, and the furniture is of exceptional quality, perfectly complementing the space. We selected a wonderful mix of pieces, including the Olivia bedroom suite, Bruno king single beds, Mysa armchairs, Nestor side tables, Olivia sideboard and shelving units, the Hilda dining table with leather chairs, and a set of Anton bar stools. Furnishing the entire apartment with IBD American Oak has truly brought our vision of a luxurious beachside retreat to life.
Harry and the entire IBD team at the Sydney store were incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and attentive, offering invaluable advice to help us select and blend items that would best suit our home. They made the entire process seamless and enjoyable. Every item was delivered promptly and in perfect condition, with the delivery team thoughtfully carrying everything upstairs and placing it in the correct rooms. They were careful and considerate of both our neighbours and the property.

Not a good quality
I liked the look of table and chairs we purchased. Also,the description on their website says it is a great quality and it will last a lifetime. Arter one year we had problems with chair which was replaced. Now ,after two years chairs are falling apart. Cheap material. Parts of chair are glued together. Over time glue loosens up. We paid so much money for such a low quality product.

For clarity, your purchase was made in September 2023, and our furniture in the U.S. is supported by a 1-year warranty.
When you first contacted us in January 2025 regarding a single chair frame, outside of warranty, we assisted by providing a replacement chair as a goodwill resolution. You accepted this outcome and the matter was considered resolved.
You reached out again in December 2025, more than two years after purchase and delivery, with additional concerns. As advised at the time, natural timber movement is normal in solid wood furniture, and the use of adhesives in joinery is a standard and widely accepted construction method across the furniture industry irrespective of price point.
While we always aim to support customers where appropriate, including outside of warranty, as demonstrated previously, we were unable to provide ongoing support or resolutions beyond what was offered. General wear over time can be influenced by use and environmental conditions once items are in the home.
We cannot comment on how an item has been used or cared for after purchase, and some wear over a piece’s lifetime is inevitable.

No stock kept in stores-may as well be an online store only!
I already have an Icon by Design table and six chairs. They are good and good quality but I wanted to order two more chairs. There is absolutely no stock kept in any of their stores or in Melbourne. Everything must be paid for delivery and if you happen to live in Melbourne, you even have to pay $99, the same delivery fee to pick up the chairs from their warehouse.

As a small, family-run business, all of our stock is stored in a third-party warehouse facility in Sydney. This warehouse is not operated by IconByDesign, it is managed by an external logistics provider who handles storage, picking, packing, and dispatch for us.
Because of this, any orders going to Melbourne must first be transported from Sydney to the courier’s depot in Victoria. The fee you mentioned is not a “pickup fee” from us, it is simply the cost of interstate freight charged by the carrier to move the product from Sydney to Melbourne before it can be collected or delivered.
Our Melbourne showroom is purely a display space and does not hold inventory, which is why product collection isn’t available directly from the store.
We truly appreciate your support as an existing Icon By Design customer, and we hope this explanation brings some clarity. If there’s anything we can assist with regarding your order or delivery options, please feel free to get in touch, we’re always on hand to assist.

Poor customer service non-delivery
Poor customer service
People in the show room were helpful, but once they have payment the service stops.
Ordered dining table with six chairs and living room rug. Table arrived late with broken leg, was 5 weeks to have replaced. Quite a process to prove that it was broken on arrival and not by us.
Only 4 of 6 chairs have been delivered, no clear date for delivery of other two.
Rug has been delayed twice without clear explanation. It's been 5 months since our initial order.
Spend your money elsewhere.

Outstanding customer service
I bought a beautiful display/book case from Icon by Design, after much research. Sadly, a week after making the order it became apparent that without a supporting wall the case wasn’t viable in the space it meant for. So I phoned to cancel. The matter was slightly more complicated by various factors but Amy from Customer Service was extremely sympathetic and very understanding but also totally up front about the various possible implications. The upshot being that the issue was very promptly and satisfactorily dealt with which left me with nothing but admiration for the quality of service I received. Extremely well done, Icon by Design!

Very Happy
After much searching of dining tables and chairs, I found THE right place. Our new IconByDesign solid oak dining set is everything I was hoping to find. It's thoughtfully designed, solidly built, and stunning to look at. Plus, since we didn't have a large space, I was grateful they made a table at 63" length. The chairs are very comfortable and lightweight for moving around. So happy I found IconByDesign!

Buyer Beware
I found this company after months of searching for a specific size solid wood table. Their banner was impressive as it lead me
to believe that this was a company crafting products in the US. (I was fooled by the American flag placed directly next to their “Crafted By” emblem). I added
the table to my cart and shipping was
instantly added based in my zip code -$200. The next screen was the “Pay Now” screen which has a hidden ability to
change your shipping to “White Glove”, an option I surely would have chosen if shipping hadn’t already been added to my total.
The company was very helpful in getting my order delivered before Christmas after the shipping company had delayed it. It was only on delivery that I found out the table was
manufactured in China. Had I known it, I would not have purchased it. Upon requesting a return, I was told there was a $200 delivery charg and a 25% restocking fee
Customer service very politely told me that no where on their website does it “state” that their products are made in the US. It also does not state that they are made
in China. And, of course, the table top does have a defect that will not allow one of the legs to be installed properly. They offered
me a new screw when what I need
is a new table top.
I would like to give them two stars but they are
very responsive only until you have a problem they can’t or don’t
want to resolve.

In regards to the origin of our product, we believe in quality through craftsmanship, however, the cost can be a major challenge. To address this we have our products manufactured at craftsman facilities in Vietnam and China. Most people are not aware of their very long history of furniture craftsmanship, and a very strong skills base in this area.

Lots of money for terrible quality
I spent a significant amount of money on my sofa. It was delivered in a box which was extremely difficult to dismantle.
In less than a year, the cushions have virtually no shape and have to be readjusted constantly. The fabric has been bleached by the sun.
