Email Support is 5 Star - Quick & To the point
I emailed them for support over the weekend and I was surprised when I got the responce on monday morning. Within a couple of back and forth quick emails I was able to shift the licenses to new laptop.
After sales support proves the true value of the company.

Download/Install Issue Solved!
I had an issue downloading and installing the PDF Convert app and emailed Icecream's support. An agent got back to me very quickly and solved my problem -- no fuss, no muss. I have used two of the Pro PDF apps so far, and they are excellent.

Very disappointing.
I emailed Icecream Support a few times when I had queries about the app. Each time, they replied with absolute bare minimum explanation and offered no helpful suggestions at all. As a result, I never got my queries answered to my satisfaction. As for the app itself, I am quite disappointed with it. To me it seems that no-one has bothered to develop this app properly. For example, I was very disappointed when I saved my slideshow and saw that the file size was about 200MB - so it's almost impossible to share it online or by We Chat etc. Useless!

Lifetime license… limited to 2 activationsv
We purchased a PDF Candy Desktop PRO license advertised as lifetime.
As an IT company, we regularly replace hardware and migrate to Windows 11. In this context, it is perfectly normal that a license may need to be reactivated on a new machine.
However, Icecream Apps only allows two reactivations in total. After that, your “lifetime” license is locked — regardless of whether you still use just one computer.
Their support is inflexible and condescending:
They treat normal hardware replacement as a license violation.
They demand “explanations” instead of simply helping a paying customer.
The result: a so-called lifetime license that becomes worthless after two PC changes.
For a product marketed as “PRO”, this policy is extremely disappointing.
⚠️ Avoid if you ever plan to replace your computer more than twice — your license will no longer work.

I use the screen recording all the time…
I use the screen recording all the time as it's so fast to start simple to use and gives me all I need to do quick screen recordings. The only big I have with them is when I need to change machines I have to email them but they are SUPER RESPONSIVE on email so that's why it's still 5 out of 5 from me

How is this legal
How is this legal? They sell a "lifetime" license, then ask you to upgrade to the latest version and then the license is not valid for the new version. This is a SCAM.

Major updates (e.g. version 6 to version 7) are optional and discounted.

My first and favorite screen recording app
This was my first screen recording app. It's still my favorite because it's easy to use and the recording quality is very gpod. I find the trimming option and creating gif files option very handy.

Absolutely Not Worth It
Scam vibes. App won’t work in my country (they don’t mention that), yet they happily charged me and refused a refund. Support is just copy-paste excuses. Plenty of cheaper recorders that actually function, skip this one.

Highly misleading 'lifetime' license
Another user feeling misled by this company. Bought a £99 'lifetime' license to Candy desktop pro, only to find out 9 months later that it did not allow updates beyond that. You'll not be able to find anything on their website about this - it is buried in their 'end user agreement' - it says they do not have to provide updates!
Spend your money elsewhere with more reputable companies without misleading pricing and hidden terms and conditions.
Update - 7 months later, I am contacted with an apology and offered a free upgrade. Well, better late than never. I have accepted and have upgraded my review to 3 star (given the original hassle, it could not be higher). Hope this company continues to do the 'right thing' by their customers.

Disappointed buyer
I’ve been a happy customer for years, but now my “lifetime” license is not valid for the latest update. Sad this is just another money-grabbing company. They want me to buy another “lifetime” license - when will that one expire? What a joke.
Update: As per the reply from Ice Cream Apps below, they emailed me offering me a new licence in exchange for me removing this review. I complained 7 months ago and have since moved on with a different product. They couldn't help me at the time. This reply is too little too late.

Unhelpful Scammers
Unhelpful company- wont honour previously purchased lifetime licenses when new versions come out. Suddenly your key will become 'invalid' and when you reach out to customer service they claim you had it on more than 2 devices (you only ever had it on 1 device!) because they want you to re-purchase it again at a higher price. Much better software out there, this is clunky- the save locations are a joke. Even the windows snipping tool does exactly the same thing- avoid and be aware they are scammers.
