I have been using Ice Cream for about 3 years. It's so easy to use and help is always available. I recently got myself all tangled up in the app. I asked customer service for help. Good products and customer service
I have been using Screen Recorder Pro for about 10 years, and it is a fantastically easy product to use (I am not very tech-minded :)). However, whenever I have an issue with it - glitches do happen - then the customer service via email is so prompt with advice so that any interruption is minimal. Good software and good customer service
I was looking for a product that was easy to learn, small footprint, and which could handle multiple books at once. It was also going to be on my work computer which was all locked up. Icecream Reader fit all these requirements, and it had features I didn't think to ask for. Because I enjoy supporting software I like, I bought a lifetime license. When I migrated to a Win 11 tablet, and the older version didn't work very well, I contacted their support people, and they were "Johnny on the spot" helping me with getting my ebook reader to work well. So, yeah this is some good software and really nice support people.

Be prepared to waste a LOT of time
This software does not have basic features like Save or SaveAs or help from within the software. It has crashed multiple times on me resulting in many hours of lost work. It is not clear how to use it. I cannot believe that it is rated so well.

I had bought Screen recorder for my old computer, which died and I could not find my activation code. The Team at Icecream responded quickly with a new activation code so I could use the Screen Recorder again on my new computer.

Excellent Customer Service
I've been using Icecream Apps for a few years now, and one of the main reasons I've stayed is their excellent customer service. For me, support matters just as much as the software itself, and they've consistently delivered.

Top Notch Service
I have been using PDF Split and Merge for years. This program makes it so easy to work with PDF docs. As the name would imply, it's great to break apart large PDF docs into smaller sections or single pages. I can also merge separate docs into one larger file. It's great for handling forms for my websites. Customer service is top notch as well! My Pro license covers 2 computers, but I needed to cancel one license so I could activate on my new computer. Customer service was quick to resolve my issue, even though it has been a few years since I made my purchase. And the name is just fun! Who doesn't want to work with Icecream? Ha!

IceCream Video Editor
After having a problem that was entirely of my own making I was extremely impressed by the responce from the IceCream team who resolved the issue within 24 hours over a UK Bank Holiday. The Video editor software itself is extremely simple to use whilst at the same time having everything needed to produce short video clips, in my case, from automatic wildlife filming cameras. I would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone needing video editing software.

Full Suite Lifetime License Purchased. They Redefined Lifetime After The Fact. Zero Accountability.
I purchased the full Icecream Apps suite under a lifetime license. PDF Candy Desktop 2.79 was included in that suite. When version 3.0 released, my license was declared invalid for it. No warning. No disclosure. They had the nerve to tell me lifetime meant I could use the outdated product for the rest of my lifetime. No recourse offered until I went public.
A lifetime license means the lifetime of the product across all future versions. That is the only honest reading of those words. Redefining lifetime after your money is gone is a classic bait and switch.
I am also putting this on record so everyone knows to carefully consider the ethics of the company you do business with.
With this made public they may eventually make version 3.xx available to me. But, what happens when version 4.xx arrives and the same move happens, the pattern will be documented and the public will know again.
Buy from this company with your eyes open.

To address the core point directly: the “lifetime” license included with the suite is tied to a specific major version line, and major-version upgrades can require a new license. That limitation is part of the license terms. However, we understand why the wording “lifetime” creates a different expectation for many customers, and we agree that we should have communicated the 3.0 transition more clearly (especially with an upfront notice inside the app/account and at checkout).
We also want to put on record that after you contacted our support team, we did make an exception and provided you with a key for the newer version so you could keep using PDF Candy Desktop without being blocked.
We take feedback like this seriously because trust matters. We’re continuing to improve how we describe license scope on our site and in purchase messaging to avoid misunderstandings like this in the future. If you’d like, you can reply to the last support email thread and we’ll confirm your current license details and what it covers going forward, in writing, so there’s no ambiguity.

I have the PDF Merger & Split. This app is easy to use and does a great job parsing or combining PDF files of unlimited pages. Also, I accidentally bought two pro licenses and the IceCream Apps team quickly helped me get a refund on the second purchase.
