Scholion Global Hub is a family-owned academic counselling and education network supporting students and families through university applications, IB studies, and the wider decisions that shape their academic path. Scholion is guided by Dr Nikolas Gkonis, who has worked with students since 1995. Over the years, his work has grown from individual academic mentorship into a wider network of counsellors, educators, and subject specialists who work with students across the UK, the US, Europe, and beyond. A large part of our work focuses on university admissions. We help students understand where they want to go, build a realistic application strategy, choose universities carefully, develop their academic and extracurricular profile, and work through essays, personal statements, interviews, and final decisions. Support can begin years before a student submits an application or at a later stage when they need clearer direction. We have particular experience with medicine applications and work with students pursuing undergraduate medicine and pre-medical pathways in different countries. This may involve admissions tests, personal statements, application preparation, or MMI and panel interview practice. Alongside counselling, we continue to provide specialist IB support in Biology, Environmental Systems and Societies, and Sports, Exercise and Health Science. Students also come to us for guidance with Internal Assessments, Extended Essays, research work, and CAS. We also work with schools, counsellors, and educators, sharing our practical experience of international admissions systems and student guidance. Our approach has always been personal. We get to know the student, understand the family and the circumstances around each decision, and help create a path that genuinely makes sense for the individual.See more
