Ok I am not going to lie.

Ok I am not going to lie.. it took them 15 hours but they restored my account! I am so thankful because when to capped my number it said non existent and also the app wouldn’t let me sign in for all that time but they fixed it. So much more but I’m mostly grateful for their help getting me this back.

NUMBER EXPIRED ACCOUNT DEACTIVATED FOR NO REASON

I subscribed for an unlimited monthly UK number today. For some reason unbeknownst to me, I got an email that a refund has been issued and my number has expired and I've got to make additional payment to restore my number. What is going on here? This is the 2nd time this week. Now I have lost all text messages and call logs. With the number of complaints here, it's very evident that this is their MO. Never using again. Considering legal action 😡😡😡😡

My Account Was Deactivated Without Notice

I subscribed to a 1-year unlimited plan in October 2022, adding a second number in March 2023. Both phone numbers are lightly used, with a few text messages and call. My account was deactivated without any notice or reason about a week ago.

I have reached out to support but after the initial email responding to the report, no one has responded again to my follow-up.

Fortunately, I read the Trustpilot reviews and contacted Heather, the response I got is that there is nothing she can do to reactivate my account. I have no answer as to why my account was deactivated.

I feel duped by Hushed. They wouldn't respond to my inquiry nor refund my unused subscription.

Deactivate without notice

Like many mentioned. My account was deactivated without any notice. It was reactivate after i contact support but they said my account was flagged as a spam account sending bulk sms message.

I hardly send any message let alone bulk messages. Now i worry my account would deactivate again without reason.

They should have two-step authentication feature in place, there r more security features they can implement to ensure account safety. But apparently they did nothing over the years.

I thought it was a scam but I was wrong

I had the same problem as most of the reviewers here. I wasn't able to access my account and couldn't receive password reset emails. I contacted the support 3 times over 2 weeks but no response.

Then I visited this page and saw that Heather is asking people to contact her to solve their problems. I emailed her and she replied to me with an apology and recovered my account successfully, so thanks Heather!

I don't think they are scammers but I think they have some problems with the users database or something. They should've announced such a thing or fixed those issues by themselves, but in any case they were able to help me quickly and I believe they can help you too.

Fraudsters. Stay away.

I tried this app while travelling. I bought a one week subscription and then deleted the app afterward but now today I get an email that I’ve been charged again. I don’t even have the app anymore and when I checked my subscriptions with apple it showed no active subscription. I have reported them to apple and my credit card company as fraud.

Bought Lifetime Subscription - Purchase Not Recognized

Bought lifetime subscription for $25 under one of my email addresses and selected a phone number during the initial setup. I tried to text the number I selected from a different phone/phone number but it isn't recognized and I don't receive a text. Thought I may have wrote it down/copied it wrong, but when I look at my account information the number I selected isn't listed, tells me I need to select a new number and asks me to pay for credits. The lifetime subscription offer says I can select a number for one time $25 payment. I got the lifetime subscription invoice to a different email address, but no number listed. When I login to my account and go to go to "Manage Hushed Numbers" I get the message - You currently do not have any numbers. Says I have to purchase monthly or yearly credits and select a phone number to get started. I changed my email address to the one I got an invoice at, which is strange enough, but when I did I got the same message about You currently do not have any numbers. Select a number and pay for credits to use. Called their phone number on the email invoice (800-631-7565) it says I need to email for any issues. Sent an email, nothing in return. Not even a notification it was received. When I try to login to their helpdesk site I got this error message "Email address / password combination is incorrect, try again or get a new password" but I can login on the app and website with that information. The service agreement terms state I can cancel but it only cancels my service and I cannot access the information on my account or any communications I did while the account was active. It also doesn't prevent them from charging me in the future, for services not rendered. ONE BIG SCAM or so it seems.....Hushed could help but they want my money and won't respond. I only have one choice, to contact my bank and report this as a scam, shut down my card number so they can't access my money for future charges, and call them out on their BS.

Hushed is a fraud.

My hushed account is blocked without any intimation.
There seems to be no way to recover my number or the messages and call logs. Also, my account has credits of around $50.
They are simply fraud actors. They give you service for few days and if you deposit money and start using it, they simply will block you.

Got a phone for Xmas and didn't want to pay for a monthly phone plan so I got a Hushed lifetime number for $25. Can't beat the price. I got to pick a number in my own area code and it's just like a regular phone number.

Term violation on Hushed

I recently tried the hushed monthly subscription. All of a sudden this morning, I received an email saying I have violated the term so my account was deactivated.

I don't know why these apps never tell us which term was violated.

Would rate zero stars if I could

Would rate zero stars if I could. Just paid for a lifetime membership yesterday. Sent 2 texts...one to myself as a test and one to a friend saying hi. They deactivated my acct today for somehow violating terms of use. Unreal. Zero reason as to why. This is a total scam and highly suggest you do not use them. I'll be calling my credit card company immediately to dispute the charge.

Keeps my real phone number protected

I used to give away my real number while filling out forms, signing up for things, etc. and landed on so many spammy lists. Now I have a Hushed number and I give that out instead. It feels like my real cell phone number is much more protected now.

They have no customer service contact and after a few months they immediately cancelled with no explanation and I have written several emails or tried to contact them with no luck. Also was deactivated in the middle of the night for breaking the tos after some awful person harassed me via text. I don't see what I violated as the tos is pretty murky.

Had this number for at least 2 years. Just paid for another year.

Seems they are on a ban spree and this is suddenly common. App is now a grifting scam as they are deactivating all over in the past few months.

Woke up to a banned account December 15th. Emailed customer service was told I violated the tos.

I was harassed by a stranger via text the night before and should have blocked them.

Seems being a sex talk therapist is considered a grey area they'd rather not deal with and I've been lumped into illegal activity.

I should have blocked the texter, but went to bed. Seems that person reported me and they've decided I'm a problem.

I get harassing texts often. It's the nature of doing therapy. Men feel they can bully you and push for services not offered.

I've done nothing wrong or illegal and would like my account back.

Having my account terminated because one man child got angry is appalling.

very studpid company. i used my account for a whole 6 years, then today they say I have violated their rules, I don't do heavy messaging or calls, and I wonder what the hell made them deactivate my account. These are just a bunch of thieves.
