Discount didn't work, order didn't materialise

I've occasionally used Hungry House and Just Eat to order takeaways, the last one I ordered included a litle card advertising Hungercalls.co.uk which looked tempting as there's no charge for paying by card. It also offered £5 off first time orders with a minimum spend of £15 which was even more tempting.

I went onto the site, it's definitely not as polishged as it's competitors and navigation isn't as intuitive but I soon found a local eatery participating in the "£5 First Time Order Discount" and placed an order totalling £15.70. I paid by card expercting the £5 discount to appear at some point. ..but it didn't. Another thing that didn't materialise was my food. 45 minutes afterthe delvery time I decided to call the take away (yes I know, phoning them does defeat the point of ordering over the internet). They didnt know anything about my order. The order I'd paid HUnger Calls £15.70 for nearly 2 hours earlier. The chap on the phone suggested I reorder via Hungry House or Just Eat as they're on there too.

I decided to give up and make my own meal. I did a beef stroganoff, took me ten minutes. It was excellent.

I emailed Hunger Calls about my missing £5 discount, the response was " I assume that you've found a shop in our system that didn't want to participate in our Try Me discount or First Order discounts" which is incorrect as looking at the eatery today I can still see
"£5 First Time Order Discount - Funded By Hunger Calls
£5 off your 1st order when you spend over £15 with this restaurant" listed in the offers.

I also emailed them about my lost order and they've refunded my £15.70, it'll take a few days to go through. Of course.

So, as first impressions go mine has been pretty poor. with the discount that was the whoille point of trying the site not being applied and then my order not being sent anyway.
