Scam alert

Scam alert
This company operates under multiple names — Huma Kitchen, Huma Design, and Human Interiors — but they are all the same business. Do not be fooled by the different branding.

We paid 95% upfront for a kitchen project in good faith. Instead of completing the work, the company collapsed, abandoned the job, and stopped all communication. Our project began in February and now, in September, only half the kitchen is finished. They have ignored every attempt to contact them — even after we issued a formal legal letter, we received no response at all.

It appears we are not the only victims. Others have reported the same pattern: take the money, delay endlessly, disappear, and leave the customer with nothing. This business seems to have been operating as a scam from day one.

The emotional and financial damage has been significant. We planned to move in before summer; instead, we spent the entire season living between Airbnbs and friends’ homes. To make matters worse, the builder they used even damaged my brand-new fridge — an appliance I personally purchased.

I am committed to holding them accountable for the distress and losses they have caused. For the sake of your home, your finances, and your peace of mind, stay away from Huma Kitchen / Huma Design / Huma Interiors, and be cautious of Hxxxxx Txxxxi and Hexx xl xxxxr

Fraud Alert!

Fraud Alert!
HumaKitchens and HumaInteriors are two companies being run by a con artist who is pretending to send LineaQuattro kitchens. He is taking money to the tune of £30-50k upfront from customers preferably by bank transfer and then either not delivering the kitchen altogether or delivering partial kitchens made in China. He stops answering calls and emails and then suddenly responds with some excuse - he has tricked multiple customers like ourselves.
The name of the founder is available on Companies house for full public view even though he is also trying to remove his footprint there.
The owner is a fraud who needs to be imprisoned and we expect the police to take action here.

Beware or you will suffer the consequences
We have had a very similar experience to the reviewer below and have been dealing with this nightmare for over a year. We were deliberately misled into buying a kitchen purportedly from Italy but it came flat-packed from china (evidenced by the delays, poor quality, labels and lack of customs receipt / delivery note). Too many issues to list but it was not fit for purpose and the fitters were unable to install as main components missing and those delivered did not fit together. For evidence that this company is not capable of trading simply check the status of the various companies on Companies House and you will see concerns - Huma Kitchens (strike off action attempted but opposed, presumably by creditors), huma design limited (strike off action as no accounts filed), huma interiors (trading but with a different director / UBO to the one who actively runs the company - seems he is trying to distance himself). Negative reviews are removed from google but it seems that warnings from many people who have suffered financially and emotionally are coming out (but no doubt will be removed). The Chelsea Design Centre location is a deliberate front to mislead customers that they are buying a luxury and bespoke product. I have uncovered over many months that the truth is far from that and just wish there had been reviews at the time of my purchase to counter the glowing praise on google.
Simply beware - there are many great companies out there who are professional, honest and act with integrity not lies.

Seven Months Late, Incomplete Kitchen, and No Response”

Huma, as you have continued to ignore my emails, calls and formal letters, I am now forced to contact you here.

The kitchen was delivered six months late, incomplete, and not as described. Your fitter spent seven weeks attempting to install it before abandoning the job, leaving us with carcasses, loose components and boxes.

We are still missing all of the appliances and the stone worktops that have already been paid in full.

Please respond and confirm when you will be rectifying this situation.

HUMA is a Scam. DO NOT USE

HUMA is a Scam. Fraud Alert: I have been defrauded by the directors of HUMA Kitchens and HUMA Interiors formerly of Chelsea Design Centre. I am sadly not alone in being scammed out of 10s of 1000s of Pounds. All victims share the same story of upfront money being taken and then ignored not receiving the promised "Luxury Italian kitchen" they thought they had purchased. It's the same pattern: Great design service and attention to detail - until you've paid the money. Then when it comes time to deliver the kitchen or other goods the owner disappears never to be heard from again. HUMA is trying to remove legitimate reviews from here while getting his own employees to put fake positive reviews and AI generated images. This is a very deliberate scam. Don't fall for it.

FRAUD ALERT - You will lose all your money

We came across HUMA at the “prestigious” Chelsea Design Centre and really loved the beautiful display Linea Quattro kitchen that was there in July 2024. The director of HUMA Kitchens, Hootan Tayebi, whose details are publicly listed on Companies House, was our main contact and remained so through to the disappointing outcome.
We had placed 3 orders with HUMA - a large kitchen, large wine cellar and a dry bar. We were also persuaded to cancel our existing Miele order for 11 appliances (which we had placed separately) so that “we could save money” with HUMA.
HUMA representatives (and then acting directors, which had by now been replaced by an unconnected third party), who continue to represent this business, initially gave us a 5* experience - creative design thinking, attention to detail, pragmatic problem solving and very high touch customer service. We had more than 4 visits to their showroom and they had in turn visited our property on about 5 occasions to measure up and advise on some additional work.
Everything seemed good until they received the final instalment. FOLLOWING OUR PAYMENT, WE DID NOT RECEIVE ANY OF THE PRODUCTS WE HAD ORDERED.

HUMA REPRESENTATIVES STOPPED ANSWERING PHONE CALLS.

IT IS NOW A MONTH SINCE OUR SCHEDULED INSTALLATION DATE & WE HAD RECEIVED NOTHING - NO LUXURY ITALIAN LINEA QUATTRO KITCHEN, NO WINE CELLAR, NO APPLIANCES, NO DRY BAR.

When we asked for our money back, we received NOTHING - not even an acknowledgement of our request.

We are now taking action with the police & through the courts, because we have lost a significant amount of money. But we are not the only ones - we know of at least a dozen others that have had EXACTLY the same experience. Some received cheap made in China (assembled in Hatfield) cabinets. Some haven’t fully realised theirs was a Chinese kitchen until they contacted Linea Quattro for a replacement part only to find out they never received a Linea Quattro kitchen.

SAVE YOURSELF THE SLEEPLESS NIGHTS, YOUR MONEY, MONTHS WORTH OF STRESS & AVOID THIS BUSINESS AND ALL RELATED PARTIES AT ALL COSTS.

Hootan is busy trying to take down legitimate reviews - beware of this activity.

Huma Kitchens / Huma Interiors are…

Huma Kitchens / Huma Interiors are claiming to sell Italian kitchens and charging large amounts accordingly but are selling Chinese kitchens instead. They take 90% of the money upfront and then stop answering calls and emails leaving an unfinished and extremely poor quality kitchen with unsuspecting customers. We are then forced to chase card companies while the same trader operating at the same address changes his company name. Numerous other customers have faced this and have reached out to us post our review. Do not be fooled - this is a deliberate and elaborate scam.
