Stuck in Dubai due to Trump's war
We were in Dubai and unable to return to Perth on our scheduled date, due to the Middle East conflict between US/Israel and Iran. Dubai airspace was closed and flights did not leave for about 6 days.
On the day after our planned return, when we realised that the length of our stay would be uncertain, I contacted Huddle to extend our cover. I was told we could NOT get extended cover under any circumstances ("Company policy").
I find it absurd that Huddle Insurance is so inflexible in those circumstances where an act of God (for God, read Donald Trump) had caused us to be stuck overseas. I do not understand the reason for denying cover just because the policy period had ended. Is there a logical reason? I would be interested to hear it.
As it happened we saved a few dollars and you lost some revenue.
