HP have hijacked my printer

Bought an HP printer and for a few years used the instant ink subscription. As I dont print a lot I cancelled the subscription as didnt feel it was value for money . HP have now hijacked my printer and it wont work because I am not using their instant ink .Printer now useless unless I sign up again for a monthly fee. Should be illegal.
Do not buy an HP

🚨 DO NOT BUY A PRINTER FROM THIS…

🚨 DO NOT BUY A PRINTER FROM THIS COMPANY 🚨
They do not care about you, your printer, or providing actual support. I purchased mine in February, it stopped working properly by April. Since then, I’ve spent countless hours troubleshooting, being hung up on, transferred to wrong departments, and told “there’s nothing we can do.”
At one point, I was told to schedule a tech support call back. They called an hour late, told me they couldn’t help, and refused to transfer me to someone who could. I then had to call a different number and sit on hold for over an hour, only to get nowhere.
This company is hands-down the worst printer brand I’ve ever dealt with. The lack of accountability, useless support, and blatant disregard for customers is unbelievable. Save yourself the stress, there are plenty of better companies out there that don’t treat their customers like garbage.

HP printers are too complicated !!

I’ve bought only hp printers for 25 + years. Loved them and the service. Now difficult to get to a person ! I want to send a simple email so I spent 1 hour via the phone and we accidentally got my message sent . Their App is uselessly complicated. My old hp I could easily send a email now it’s very complicated if not almostly complicated yes I got it out but I’ll never remember how to do it again .
Your soft ware people are incredible jerks. They took something strait forward and made it complicated. When my printer goes I will probably look for another brand that is simple
Why I need an app to send is crazy !!!

I wish I could give them 0

I wish I could give them 0. very very disappointing. I can't use my printer because apparently there's something wrong with my account. I have done everything to resolve it but all in vain. Virtual chat is absolutely rubbish and calling them is not an option as they charge you. This company is scam of the earth.

I have an HP Envy 6020e printer

I have an HP Envy 6020e printer, I changed my internet provider recently and have had nothing but problems since trying to connect the printer to wi-fi. i have tried all the online suggestions, engaged with a virtual assistant, tried the suggestions on posts from other users with similar problems, nothing has worked. This is 3 weeks now without a printer. Just to top it all, my printer has just gone over the warranty period. I personally wish I had never bought this printer. If I had know the problems i would have left on the shop shelf.

I cannot believe HP exists and sells…

I cannot believe HP exists and sells printers. I am having the most surreal experience. I've had a printer for a year (HP Envy Inspire 7900e) and it worked fine for me, in a MacBook Pro environment. Then, around the time of my warranty expiring, the scanned stopped working - I was using HP Easy Scan app. After a full 10 hours of back and forth with HP support they are asking if I have a PC, since they can't figure out how to fix my problem. A PC! As if if you have an Apple MacBook Pro you're left hanging without support. Also, the new app HP Smart is not able to do 2-side scanning, unlike the old app HP Easy Scan.

Very poor support

Very poor support. Msg "A problem has occurred with your HP account and you will be unable to print until the issue is resolved." was prompted unexpectedly. I contacted the support, spent more than 2 hours in WhatsApp to communicate with the support but still could not solve the issue. You need to wait for more than 10 minutes for every single conversation in WhatsApp for the support to response.

Absolutely Useless

I have spent the best part of the morning trying to contact their support team and via WhatsApp, Messenger and their own site all you get is a robot chat that knows absolutely nothing of what I want to do. I simply want to remove a printer which I had disconnected over a year ago and gave to my son. He can't use it because it is still linked on my account - very simply I want to remove it from my account but it is like trying to get blood from a stone. I am totally frustrated and disgusted that you cannot easily contact anyone - give me an email address or live chat not a robotic one!!!! I finally managed a WhatsApp message with a REAL PERSON! at 12.09 today which ended at 13.38 but I am no further forward! I give up.

Every time I use my HP printer I spend…

Every time I use my HP printer I spend hours trying to get it to print or scan. When I talk to HP support staff, I am on the phone for many hours. I believe support staff are paid by the number of calls they resolve so there is no incentive to permanently fix problems.
Poor printer/scanner and poor and very slow support.

Lousy support for printer problems

My hp printer failed recently and I tried to get support from hp - the chatbot was driving me mad so I was elevated to live chat - which was worse than watching paint dry - I made no progress in 48 hours. I did finally get a guy to speak to who was very helpful but the whole experience was really bad. I guess hp don't read these reviews.

Worst printer ever HP Deskjet 2700 All-in-one…

Bought my HP Deskjet 2700 All-in-one printer 10 months ago. Every time I use it it fails in one way or another. Printer cartridge says its full, but doesn't print, then says it's empty. then says it's full. still doesn't print right. Struggled with this for 7 months (virtual assistant poor help). Finally found a number for customer support. After 15 minutes on the phone with her she said the cartridge was defective and sent me a new one. I had to push for expedited shipping. At first she said it would take about 5 business days. Problems constantly: print quality, wifi/goes offline every time I try to use it. Typically I spend 1-3 hours working with it and virtual assistant, with poor fix. My spouse has about 40 years experience in IT support, software programing etc. Even he has fair success getting printer to work, and it usually takes an hour+ for him to get it working. Every suggestion from the virtual assistant (VA) works about 5-10% of the time. there use to be a "diagnose and fix" button on there website, but that has gone away. when it existed, at least that helped a little bit. There is no instruction booklet. Just a few pictures and 3,THREE, sentences of instruction on how to set it up. No paper instructions on how to use it etc. You must download their app and go online for any other info about using it. There are icons on the printer, but no instructions on what each icon means or is for. There is nothing on line to tell you what the icons refer too, and how to fix the problem, if you halfway figure out the icons. I only figured out what each icon was for, by pushing the button on the printer which had an i on it, holding it, and then that printed out a paper with one word for each icon, but not how they work. So you waste your paper trying to find out how to make the printer work. And still after that it did not print from my computer! It will let you print sometimes from a paper on the scanner, but that's inconsistent. I can't say enough how much I hate this product, and how incredibly frustrating this has been for the past 10 months. If you need to print something right away, you're better off driving to a library or print shop. It's under warranty, but you can't get much info about what the warranty covers and how to get help. Sorry to say that there are no redeeming qualities about this HP printer. And the ink replacement program is a rip off.

Deceitful and lying company…

Deceitful and lying company representative - claims I have seriously run over print allocation - they provide no proof - my average is within 300 pages/month ie the contract - they could not provide proof that I had over run, and agree Ive never done before

My Printer history over many years shows usage below that 300 page / month usage ie within contract. So without proof or debate, they have stolen 4 times the amount of subscription from my bank account

I was set up by a liar - a deceitful, spiteful woman who tricked me into a roll-over of printer usage, but could only be used within a limited time, the roll-over is double what I would use, no way I could use what was offered - the liar knew this and trapped me into agreeing whilst stealing money from my bank account

Lack of Honesty and integrity within HP and certainly within customer support who only think of themselves and not the long paying customer over many years - clearly they do not want mine or anyone else contracts

There are many printer machines on offer through high street and online retailers - it doesn't have to be with HP that you make your purchase, the deceitful woman will rip you off and trick you from your money -

Be aware bad company culture - dishonest support staff - couldn't care less attitude yet plenty of other to buy from, don't buy here - it's your money you're wasting

INDESCRIBABLY POOR SERVICE

When i re-plugged in my laptop it failed to connect to wifi. I watched the HP video and tried to fix the issue myself and ultimately opted for their whatsapp chat service. What a mistake. I logged in at 9.03. It is now 12.00. I was online all this time, engaged in a surreal conversation with an agent i ultimately felt was playing an extended joke on me. He said he would be with me 'immediately'....that took him half an hour to get back. Utterly utterly useless. My issue is not resolved. Wish i had read the feedback before wasting my weekend on these jokers.

HP - don't bother - they deserve to disappear completely

Every time I use my HP printer I am reminded just how horrible each and every experience is with this company. When I talk to friends they say they experience the same frustration. Rubbish printer. Rubbish service. I literally hate them and hope that they are eternally punished for delivering crap products and services to this world. Shame on you. Even their customer service contact sends you a ticket number but on none of the occasionS did that mean I was contacted.

HP Office jet pro 8210

The worst printer we've ever owned - trying to print wireless, direct or over network is impossible from laptop or mobiles - works about one time in ten. I've spent hours trying to fix this on the dreadful HP Smart site - all it wasn't to do is flog ink! No point if I can't print anything. All I want is a simple plug and play solution. I've given up now and just plug in the usb cable. Don't buy a HP printer!!

I hate HP

I hate HP, and the rubbishy ENVY printer that I recently bought. It keeps going offline; it gobbles up the (extremely expensive) ink; and it always lets me down when I need it to work. I have wept with frustration over it - I hate, hate, hate it. HP are just about greed. Cynically, they have no care about their unfortunate customers.

Multiple pages being printed when not requested

I have had issues with my printer printing multiple copies of the same page when not requested. As I am on an ink plan I am paying for these excess pages. Rang support they did not understand the problem and why it was an issue. Eventually called me back and said I needed to switch the printer off and back on again and check that the ink cartridges were installed properly. Waste of my time and theirs
