Faulty Hoverboard Not Replaced, Emails ignored

Daughters hoverboard was losing charge in minutes from day one. Initially they replied, promptly, gave me 7 days to cut wires on board, before they could replace. did that over 5 weeks ago in good faith, all emails ignored since asking for an update. No replacement and Support mobile number doesnt work. Daughter left in tears. AVOID!

I would never order anything from this…

I would never order anything from this company again. I brought a charger on 4/14 and paid for 10-15 delivery service and they didn't process the order until 15 business days later and now I have to wait another 15 days to receive my order. Company and service is garbage

I wish I’d seen the others reviews…

I wish I’d seen the others reviews before buying this. I had the same experience as other reviewers. Also got the hoverboard as a birthday gift and the board wouldn't charge. Contacted hover-1 and they sent instructions on how to “reset” it. I did that twice. Still the board never turned on and never even moved. I sent them a video per their request and got a response 4 days ago saying it’s being reviewed and now no response. I’m assuming I’ll hear nothing back until it’s past the window for a return/refund. Such a scam.

From Hover-1:
Please recalibrate the board twice in a row (this is a hard reset) and then send us a video of the calibration along with a short attempt to ride.

Awful experience

Awful experience. Bought as a birthday gift and received a board that wouldn't charge. Contacted hover-1 explaining the issue with a picture. They had me upload a video instead. Then they sent me instructions on how to cut the wires and are having me send them a picture proving I've cut the wires--within 7-10 days "or this offer will be void." All of this for a replacement because "refund is not eligible for opened items." It boggles the mind.

I wish I could give zero stars

If I could give zero stars, I would. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!! I ordered the Titan hoverboard for my grandson for Christmas. When it arrived, it was defective. It shook like crazy, made a terrible noise and didn’t turn off when he stepped off of it. He tried it in a carpeted hallway and then we packed it up to return. The company refused to accept a return because the box had been opened. WTF? How can you know it’s defective without opening the box? I tried emailing 3 times and called every number they had listed for customer service, which didn’t answer and tells you to send an email. This company is the worst. I’m out almost $300 and my grandson has no hoverboard. BEWARE!

Over a month to arrive

3 weeks since ordering and no update. I really regret ordering from this company.

My package arrived a month later.

Sent me a dead hover board that wont…

Sent me a dead hover board that wont charge. Took 6 weeks to send. Brain dead customer support. Keeps asking for a video of the board not charging????? We garded. Wont exchange. Rude customer service when they reply. Do not buy from them. I reversed charged the product.

AWFUL PRODUCT AND NON EXISTENT CUSTOMER SUPPORT: Bought this as a Christmas gift and it broke within 24 hours. One side locked up and the board would not turn off, it continued to power one side, leading to a severe burning smell and eventually turned off due to battery burning out. Now the board doesn't power up or charge. I've contacted customer support and raised a ticket under the warranty but I've not received a response and its been over 20 days. Awful product and would not recommend.

Awful, just don't buy it.

Bought this Hover-1 as a Christmas gift and it’s been nothing but trouble. The first unit locked up on one side, completely stopped working, and then refused to turn off while giving off a worrying burning smell. Exchanged it thinking it was a one‑off fault, but the replacement did exactly the same thing within 15 minutes of use.

For a product that’s supposed to be fun and safe, this is incredibly disappointing and honestly quite dangerous. I can’t recommend it to anyone.

FAULTY HOVERBOARD

I ordered a hover-1 hoverboard directly from the manufacturer. It said it would be here in 7-10 days and it took 30 days. When I received it I plugged it in to charge it. When it was fully charged it wouldn't turn on unless plugged in. I asked for a refund and they said if the box was opened it wasn't eligible for a return. The battery is bad. I spent $100 and they took the money immediately. This is a bad company and nobody should purchase anything from them. They are sketchy.

Amazing

Amazing! I bought one each for my children and they were great, within a few days they were whizzing up and down the Sitting Room, it was honestly the best toy they got for Christmas, very surprised with these bad reviews. My kids think they're great and they are 6 and 8 years old.

This company is a scam

This company is a scam! It’s been 2 weeks and they still haven’t shipped the item I ordered. I called to get a refund because I could order the same charger off of Amazon and have it in 2 days. The prick boy in customer service said he couldn’t cancel my order because it’s been over ten days and wouldn’t refund me. Yea it’s been over ten days but you still haven’t mailed my charger. I advise stay as far away from these scumbags as possible.

Poor! Avoid.

Found these reviews by accident when trying to contact Hover-1 customer support. They replied quite quickly the first time and asked for our address to send out a replacement unit for my daughter, said we'd have a replacement Hoverboard within a week or 2 but I've not heard anything from them since.

The Hoverboard was only just over a month old and was a present for my daughter. Utterly disappointing, avoid buying their products if you can, can't imagine it will be long until retailers start withdrawing Hover-1 from their shops.

**Update, it's been over 2 months and still no replacement unit - Will be contacting trading standards imminently.

Horrible product

Horrible product. Had to return 2 of these due to wheel locking and won’t turn off power and then smells like something is burning. Do not buy

Absolutely the worst product/company!

Purchased this item THE FIRST TIME at Walmart along with the go-cart attachment as a Christmas gift for my grandson. When he opened it Christmas and charged it it would not charge. I live out of state so I took it home with me to contact and get a replacement. In the meantime I purchased a second one from AMAZON so he had a Christmas gift. He got the second one and it didn’t even light up. Meanwhile I am filing a return online with the company. They advise my daughter to return to Amazon. We did the return. I am still waiting for a response for my direct contact with the company. They get the second one only to find it won’t hold a charge. I file another request for support directly online for the first broken one. AND request a refund for the second one ordered from Amazon. I try to file a complaint with the BBB only to find they have no address. What?! This is absolutely inconceivable. Purchase 3 and none of them work! Thank God for Amazon and at least two are returnable. I still have the original broken one and the go-cart attachment that I don’t have anything to use it for. I did write to AMAZON and advised them to block this company from selling any more defective products and at this point I believe the whole company is a scam. Shame on them for wrecking a Christmas gift 3x over!!

DO. NOT. BUY. FROM. THEM.

Customer service was absolute garbage. Scooter started to perform poorly after I had it for 2 months (which conveniently happened a month after the return period expired) and after I had emailed them with my concerns they said they won’t do anything and it’s acting this way because of the terrain and/or because of my weight. I am well under the weight limit and I have only ever driven it on paved roads. I emailed back after that and now they won’t reply anymore. WOW. $500 scooter goes to crap in 2 months and the customer service is terrible. Do not buy anything from here, spend your money somewhere else.

What TERRIBLE customer service

What TERRIBLE customer service. I received a Hover-1 Kart for my son that was missing some white washers, so I contacted Hover-1 (which it says to do on the box), and they told me to contact the seller twice. I received a replacement unit from the seller with the same exact pieces missing. I can't get a hold of anyone at Hover-1 and it has been over a month. I don't get mad often, but this company has me seething.
