Scammers scammers

Scammers scammers.
The hotsnackshop is a big scam. I bought toilet tissues last month but there was no confirmation of purchase. I only received the order number. Immediately I put in my card details, a few minutes later I received a notification from my bank that my android set up was successful. I didn’t think much more of it. I checked my account and the money of £7:25 has not be taken out from hotsnackshop. This was a bit odd.
A few days later my bank blocked my account. I called to enquire as why my card was blocked and was informed of suspicious transactions which the bank did not authorised to go through. I was asked if I was using my contactless card in Bournemouth. I was shocked as I have not been to Bournemouth. Luckily no money was lost. I did not think that it was the hotsnackshop at that time.

So two days ago I went to the hotsnackshop website directly instead of via Facebook. I tried to buy the toilet tissue again as I don’t know what happened the last time as they did not take the money out but immediately I enter my card details, again my bank send a message saying “ You've successfully set up Android Pay for your card ending 5640. If you didn't request this please call us on (0345) 4503255.
I did not set that up. Only now I understand it was them the hotsnackshop. I have learned my lessons. Never buy anything from facebook links or hotsnackshop. They’re scammers and enticing people with unbelievable prices of goods. They will take your card details and steal your money. Please be ware of them. Facebook really must investigate whoever is behind this fraud. Even hotsnackshop website is a scam. Don’t buy anything from them

scammers getting card details

Just echoing what everyone else has said - they advertise on Facebook with deals that are too good to be true, then your card is used fraudulently days later.

Scam

CAREFUL. I bought chocolates for £1.99. Received OTP from my bank and received "order completed" from the company. No money left my account then I received an email from my bank saying that I had successfully set up Google pay. As I already have Google pay I contacted my bank. They immediately cancelled my card and informed me this is how facebook and tik tok shops operate scams to obtain all your info then empty your accounts.

SCAM SCAM SCAM!!

SCAM SCAM SCAM!!! I tried to pay and it sets up your card on a google pay account so as to use all the funds in your account for their own items or corrupt ways!!! It sent a notice direct from my bank to my phone which was weird and without double checking it, as it said “to activate google pay here is your code!?” Do not activate google pay cancel your card as soon as you’ve entered it into their malicious system as it could be corrupted or abused anyway!?. PLEASE BE CAREFUL WITH ANY SITE OR ADVERT WITH CHEAP GOODS!!!!

(SOME) Facebook Ad Links are Scams “Hotsnackshop”

FACEBOOK ADS TO SHOPS
Linked to this site from Facebook, no verification sent to confirm purchase, payment wasn’t taken and thought something wasn’t adding up! Verification was sent to wife as she is main contact on joint Credit card! Which raised another red flag as my Tel No was added when registering account to purchase.
Credit card was declined on trying to use in shop on following day, rang CC company who advised the transaction/company on FB was suspicious so they cancelled our cards. No money lost but lesson learnt, do not buy from links on FB or any social media.
FACEBOOK NEED TO POLICE THESE SHOPPING ADS.
