Gorgeous hotel with disappointing service

Gorgeous hotel, great food, lovely location. But we had a combination of serious mistakes during our stay, not just one small hiccup, and it affected what was meant to be a special occasion for us. Some things you just can't get back.

The on-site staff member (Sien) we dealt with about our complaints didn't take them seriously and didn't offer reasonable compensation initially. It was only after we escalated that a manager stepped in and offered proper compensation.

A beautiful property let down by how the front-line team handled things. Glad it got sorted eventually, but it shouldn't have taken escalation to get there, and it doesn't undo what was lost.
