You're in safe hands

I transferred my accounts to the team at Hostworld Internet and I have not been disappointed in any way. The transition was smooth and well handled and I was kept in the loop every step of the way. The team was also there at any time I needed it. A really positive experience all round and one that I could highly recommend, confirming that the team rightly deserve this five-star review.

The system is slow

The system is slow, even after upgrading the RAM and CPU. Obviously, the disk is not an SSD. I’m going to change it; they don’t deserve the money.

We’ve checked our records and cannot see any support tickets raised on this account. If you’re experiencing performance issues, the first step is always to open a support ticket so we can properly investigate and resolve the problem for you.

All of our VPS platforms use SSD or NVMe storage as standard—no spinning disks are in use. Performance concerns are most commonly related to workload configuration, software optimisation, or resource allocation, all of which we routinely assist with once a ticket is opened.

We’re always happy to help, but we do need a support request to do so. Please raise a ticket and our technical team will review the issue promptly.

You pay 100% for the cpu cores that you…

You pay 100% for the cpu cores that you want but you only get 40% of what you pay. If the cpu spikes like 45-50% they will limit to 30% and the server will become useless for 2 hours and most important impossible to manage remotely. No matter that I upgraded cores 2 times the results are the same.
They say it's theirs policy - I say that they can't offer what they sell and get money for.
In other words they protect their services by killing your server but wait a minute, I don't get it. You kill my service which is your service to protect your service which is my service but is dead.. I'm confused. Congratulations anyway to the guy who thought something stupid like this
Their "services" are not that cheap so you better look for other better options out there.
In 2 words I could call this a scam ...
BTW I Didn't ask for a refund and I don't want any refund. I only regret for my time I spent and the frustration while I was not having the services when I needed..

To clarify, the VPS plan you selected includes shared CPU resources, which means the CPU is not dedicated exclusively to a single VPS. This is standard across the hosting industry and allows us to offer competitive pricing. When a VPS consistently reaches very high CPU utilisation, our system applies throttling to ensure fair usage for all customers on the same host node. This is not designed to “kill” your service, but to protect the stability of the platform as a whole.

In your case, the behaviour you described typically occurs when the software running inside the VPS consumes all available CPU power, regardless of how many additional shared cores are added. This is common with bots, indexing tasks, and other CPU-intensive workloads. Adding more shared cores will not resolve the issue if the underlying process continues to max out the CPU.

If you require unrestricted, guaranteed CPU performance, the correct solution is dedicated CPU cores, which are isolated and not subject to shared-resource limits. As a goodwill gesture, we are more than happy to arrange a no-obligation test so you can see the difference before committing to anything.

One problem, one email, one fix. Perfect!

I know I've left a review before but this is an update. Recently I was looking to upgrade my VPS again when I noticed I was already paying the price for the higher spec VPS instead of my current one. I queried this with the Billing Dept. and they apologised, looked into my payment history and found I'd over-payed for a number of months. They issued me a refund for all overpayments and advised how to amend my PayPal payment plan to stop it happening again.

You really get to know how good a company is by how they react when something goes wrong. Hostworld passed with flying colours! I asked one question and they tidied it all up without any hassle.

Yet again I'm really impressed with my interaction with Hostworld. Happy to recommend them!

Long term problem resolved quickly

A long term problem that was causing aggravation was resolved quickly. I cannot believe how quickly the problem was fixed. Also I was kept informed as to progress. I am so grateful.

Host world changes their vps policy and…

Host world changes their vps policy and the win server crashed multiple times even when server is idling. I even deployed ps script to kill any process that takes up more then 10% of the cpu bandwidth but even with that it still crashes. It appears they have configured the vm to pull all cpu resources with the slightest momentary usage spike.

What am I supposed to do with a vps that crashes even when idling!!!

Only one word to describe this; HOPELESS!!

Immediate response from Kirsty answered and resolved my request for information and action. I was concerned when Hostworld took over from Calico that the excellent service might not continue but I am pleased to say that the staff still maintain their very high standard.

Legendary services. No competition.

Lightning-fast support from David Mitchell — what a bloke!

I'm completely new to VPS hosting — I've only ever hosted servers through my own router at home — so I expected a bit of a learning curve. But when I ran into issues bodging my VPS setup (oops), David Mitchell from the support team stepped in like an absolute legend. 😄

He replied to my support ticket within two minutes (seriously, TWO minutes), and had my VPS back up and running in about five to ten minutes tops. That kind of speed and competence is unheard of in most IT support teams — usually you're waiting hours for someone to misunderstand your issue. Not here.

There was one moment where I felt a bit left in the dark — I got a short, slightly unrelated copy-paste response — but looking back, I get it. He was probably knee-deep fixing the VPS itself, and wasn’t wasting time chatting when he could be solving. And he did solve it. Fast.

I’ve genuinely never dealt with an IT company where the support actually understands IT on a technical level. If you're considering a VPS or any of hostworld's products — do it. The support is top tier, the server runs great, and honestly I can’t fault the service.
