A deeply frustrating experience for my small business...
My experience with Hosted Business Limited has been one of the most stressful and disappointing supplier relationships I’ve encountered.
My business was contacted by a Hosted sales agent by telephone and encouraged to add additional services which were presented as a way to “cover” charges related to my previous provider using supplier “connection bonuses”.
The way this was explained gave the clear impression that Hosted would effectively offset those costs.
What was not properly explained during the call was the true financial impact of the agreement. The additional licences resulted in a 60-month contract costing more than £2,400, in order to obtain a benefit of around £363.
When I later questioned the sudden increase in my bills, I was initially told Hosted had paid a termination fee to my previous provider. That explanation turned out to be incorrect.
I went through months of complaints, requests for call recordings, and eventually escalated the matter to the Ombudsman. The Ombudsman confirmed that Hosted had provided misinformation, although they did not require the contracts to be cancelled.
Throughout this process I experienced:
• unclear and inconsistent billing
• contradictory explanations about costs
• misinformation about termination fees
• slow and dismissive complaint handling
For a small business, telecom contracts of this length are significant financial commitments. Transparency and clarity should be the bare minimum when selling them.
Instead, my experience has been that critical information about the overall financial impact of the agreement was not clearly communicated at the time of sale.
I would strongly advise any business approached by Hosted to take extreme care, read every document independently, and insist on a full written breakdown of the total cost before agreeing to anything over the phone.

Not to be trusted customer service zero
Having spoke to a sales man the deal sounded good but i was under contract with my current provider so explained i could not go ahead with this, but they still when ahead. Customer service is zero please be careful as they don't listen

Do not sign anything unless you have read the document fully.
To be told that a payment of £295 plus Vat must be paid to get out of the service agreement on the same day is utterly disgraceful.

Price-match clause ignored and no follow-up
I provided Hosted with a written like-for-like quote from Daisy Communications in line with the price-match clause in my contract.
They replied once asking for the quote and confirmation about termination fees (which is not required for a price match), but after I sent the requested information, there was no further response.
This has been a recurring issue: Hosted reply to an initial email, then stop responding, while claiming publicly that the matter is being dealt with.
I’m not asking to exit the contract — I’m asking Hosted to apply the terms they agreed to, communicate clearly, and follow through.
I’m still waiting for confirmation.
