Company now taken over by Gap

Company closed, they have recently sold the business to Gap. So Business as usual with a new owner and large product range on new Gap website. Contacted Kate and she was very helpful with my online order from Launceston store.

Friendly Efficient and Professional

We had 12 windows and 2 doors replaced in our cottage which is over 150 years old, thick granite walls where nothing is very vertical and nothing particularly level. The windows we chose are of the highest quality and they were installed and fitted to the highest standards. We are more than happy with our new windows and doors. We found everyone we dealt with at Horizon Launceston to be very efficient, professional and friendly and would not hesitate to recommend them.

If I could take away the 1 * believe me…

If I could take away the 1 * believe me I would. After paying over £8k on a Bi fold, two smaller windows and a French door that didn't come fit for purpose it's been nothing but problems and excuses.
1. The windows weren't delivered when they said they would,
2, parts were missing,
3, The Bi fold was made to the wrong measurements and then waiting to see what they'd do about it. Turns out not a lot.
4, The French door wasn't manufactured and didn't align.
5, as requested videos and pictures sent for them to realise this, and send out two guys who couldn't fix it but broke the handle before leaving. See how this gets better.
6, another week of waiting for them to say they have to get hold of the supplier and apologies etc. They'll send out a new door handle. Wow thanks.
7, regarding the French door that isn't fit for purpose and wasn't made properly to begin with, they will send out screws and it's for us to put right. After they'd reviewed it the 1st time and seen it was their fault.
You can probably understand the frustration. You then get told by Josh at the bodmin branch, that he knows its not good enough but in actual fact he isn't doing anything to put it right. Don't be fooled by the sales chat. I wish we'd used it different company and would steer anyone away from Horizon plastics. Shocking company.
Edit: After reading the response from Horizon I cam only laugh. How commendable to re issue a handle free of charge, that was broken by your unexperienced fitters when they come out to rectify the problem with the French door in the 1st place.
As for the £150 compensation. I think that was the very least you could do after it took over a week to respond to what you were doing as the Bi-fold was made to the wrong size meaning our builder had to spend time putting right the wrongs. Therefore your £150 was just for us to carry out extra labour.
Horizon plastics you may be good in trying to fool new customers believing you've gone above and beyond for us. When it's been us constantly trying to make contact with you and now still trying to sort out this French door which you have responded with ( we will supply new screws ) it's not good enough. Your response to this just proves that you may talk the talk but fall incredibly short of providing good customer service and care.

Dear Tara,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We are genuinely sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations, and we appreciate the opportunity to respond.

Firstly, we want to extend our sincerest apologies for the delays and issues you've encountered. We understand how frustrating this can be, especially with the significant investment involved in your home improvement project. Please allow us to address the points you’ve mentioned, based on our records and the steps we've taken to rectify the situation:

1) Delivery Delays: The initial delay in delivering your items was unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances with our logistics. We rescheduled and personally attended the delivery to apologize and ensure everything was offloaded properly.

2) Missing Parts & Manufacturing Issues: Upon being notified of the missing parts and the manufacturing discrepancies, we immediately contacted our supplier to rectify these errors. Corrections were made, including dispatching missing items and arranging for adjustments to the incorrectly sized components.

3) Compensation & Rectification Efforts: Recognizing the inconvenience caused, we issued a £150 credit as a goodwill gesture. Additionally, we enlisted the help of a trusted partner to address the issues with the French Door on our behalf, aiming for a quick and effective resolution.

4) Ongoing Communication and Support: Our team has been in constant communication with both you and our suppliers to ensure all issues are addressed promptly. For the damaged door handle, we've arranged a replacement at no cost to you and we personally offered to install it, further demonstrating our commitment to resolving the situation to your satisfaction.

We acknowledge that this project has not progressed as smoothly as we would have liked, largely due to supplier-related challenges. However, please be assured that we have taken, and will continue to take, significant steps to address and rectify every concern raised.

Our aim at Horizon Plastics is to provide high-quality products and exceptional customer service. It's clear in this instance we've fallen short, and for that, we are truly sorry. We remain dedicated to working with you to find a satisfactory resolution and hope to restore your faith in our company.

For a more detailed discussion or any immediate assistance, please feel free to reach out to us directly at bodmin@horizonplastics.co.uk

Sincerely,

Excellent help

Excellent help. A minor snag with the picking could have lead to a job stop. Instead, the Launceston team pulled out all the stops to get the parts on site to complete the work. Very much appreciated!

Great customer service

I called into the Bodmin showroom to enquire about composite decking, which I am hoping to fit myself. Josh was very helpful and informative and took time to explain everything about the product.
