As a Canadian, when I found out that Hootsuite is openly and “proudly” working with ICE, I immediately became incredibly angry and disappointed. For the CEO to come out and say that they will continue... See more

This is a very comfortable CMS for many…
This is a very comfortable CMS for many many platforms. transparent stats and understanding where and how you should develop socials. I utilized this CMS with many companies and can safely say that it greatly saves the effort, money and management resources. reaching their support is not the best idea. But everything is intuitive and in the end you have answers to your question.

Such a dumb service
Such a dumb service. No matter how much I tried, hootsuite still gets into conflict when I have to post on Twitter and Facebook, and sometimes, continuous error on Instagram as well.
I can post longer texts and videos on Twitter. But on hootsuite, I am literally fed up of editing my texts and videos and you have no idea how much tiring it is.
So, to sum up, I find hootsuite as useless. So after the free trial, I will cancel it. It’s better to post it on my social media channels independently.
Thanks!

Was doing some investment work online…
Was doing some investment work online with your company. Taking money and had the possibility of withdrawing but every time there was an issue either account frozen and first paid £200 to unfreeze. Then tried to withdraw but credit score reduced to below 100. Then tried to withdraw again, but had a time limit and now asked for over £1200 to unfreeze.
Company owe me over £6000 and this is causing me sleepless nights. Would never use the company again.
This is in the network division.
Misleading charges and zero accountability
Years ago, I signed up for a free trial on behalf of a client, expecting to pay $29/month afterward. At some point, I stopped using the service and believed I had canceled my membership.
Turns out, my client was actually being charged $129/month the entire time—which then jumped to $250/month without my knowledge. No notifications, no warnings—just quietly draining money despite barely using the service.
My client recently reached out, completely blindsided by these outrageous charges.
I dug through old records and found screenshots from their plans page via the Wayback Machine, which clearly showed a $29/month option when we signed up.
We also found the original welcome email, yet—conveniently—it made no mention of the plan I had supposedly signed up for.
When we logged in recently to cancel the account, no confirmation email was sent. Nothing.
When I reached out to notify them, they acknowledged the account was recently canceled but refused to explain how I was charged $129/month instead of $29.
Instead of owning up to the mistake, they can’t even explain why they don’t include pricing details in their welcome emails or send cancellation confirmations in 2025.
What kind of company operates like this?
I'm ashamed this company is Canadian and will pursue legal action to get my money back.
Absolutely awful
Absolutely awful. Bad platform, overpriced and can't get a refund.
We paid the annual fee, only to find that the platform never works. When we raised a complaint and requested that the remaining months are refunded they told us that this is not possible. So essentially we are paying thousands for a platform that we have only used a few times over a period of a couple of months and we're paying for it for the whole year.
This company scammed me
This company scammed me. My subscription should have been canceled after the trial but I was still charged through Paypal for $399 and never refunded me. They didn't help even if its obvious that I never used the service.
Good platform but be careful with the free trial
I started a free trial and about one week before the trial ends, I was charged random amounts on Paypal twice. I contacted the support but they didn’t admit or recognise that my subscription was cancelled even though I had screenshots. I requested a refund in my email twice. It’s been a few days since I got their initial response and still no refund issued or further reply.
Don’t sign up for this trial thing!
Edit: A few days after they did refund me both of those payments. And the actual platform is quite okay to be fair
worst customer service
worst customer service, do not use it. our company has just started using this program and the app is not working properly we have not been able to contact customer service for 2 months, they never get back to us

Worst Company Ever to connect with
Worst Company Ever to connect with. Scam artists. I never use this term but I am so annoyed. It takes a lot of annoy a Brit and their CS has certainly done that.
If your under 30 days of renewal - just go ahead and delete the full account. That's how I manage to get my money back. Customer Services rep 'Isaac' disappeared when I requested a refund.
I have been trying to delete my account…
I have been trying to delete my account but till now I haven’t succeeded. I logged out and I can’t log back in
It’s saying the email is not found in their site! 👎👎

I used to like this service but…
I used to like this service but they keep jacking up the price YOY, and their customer service is terrible when something goes wrong. We have a post that will not post to IG and they had us run so much BS trouble shooting and then still would not escalate it to a specialist. They want us to screen record a video of us duplicating the post and trying to post again. Like what good is that going to do? Just have someone with a brain look at the backend error and tell us how to fix it. Their support staff does not want to solve problem, they want you to give up and leave them alone so they can close the ticket. I'm going to stop giving these people money when the recurring thing is up because it is not worth the money considering the cost/value and the fact that their customer service is comparable to comcast. I've been using them for over 5 years and cannot justify it anymore.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. BASIC AND HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
This is by far the worst company that I have worked with. I signed up for the trial version and was unable to get a password reset for the username to cancel. I wrote to customer service multiple times which took days to reply. I want to cancel the trial because honestly as a creative director, I was not impressed with the platform. It's not great, VERY BASIC - and the customer support has no live support phone number. I was charged $1,199 PER MONTH for a platform I did not even use. I asked for a refund and I was denied. I asked AMEX to refund my account after not receiving emails (since there is no phone number) pre-trial expiration date. I feel like I was not responded to on purpose for reasons to be charged. AWFUL, AWFUL, AWFUL. WORST SOCIAL MEDIA PROJECT MANAGEMENT PLATFORM I HAVE EVER USED. I would not recommend this to any client or agency.

Hootsuite are quite possibly the worst…
Hootsuite are quite possibly the worst and most duplicitous company we have dealt with. Our subscription, which we paid for yearly since 2016 rose from £360 to £1,200 overnight as apparently, we had benefited from a low price for years? Erm, hello, you mean we were a loyal customer for years whilst you redeveloped your product? Now, we've experienced the customer service (they absolutely don't want to know and respond like chatbots) we realised they aren't a company we want to do business with.
I would advice anyone considering using them to check their Ts&Cs as apparently "The Self-Serve Services evolve constantly. We may change the Self-Serve Services, such as by changing, adding or removing features at any time, for any reason. We may or may not provide notice of those changes to you. We will not be liable to you or any third party for the modification, price change, suspension or discontinuance of any of the Self-Serve Services."
How is this even legal? AVOID AVOID AVOID. Awful experience. And do look at Hootsuite's responses to bad reviews on here... more lip service delivered by chatbots.
SCAMMERS
We had two accounts with Hootsuite that were set up by an employee who no longer works for us. As we had no need for the service from Hootsuite, I asked for Hootsuite to cancel both accounts in July 2023. They confirmed that one account had been closed and a refund processed in July 2023. I asked multiple times in July and August 2023 for Hootsuite to close the second account but received no response. We no longer have access to the email address used to set up one of the accounts so we are unable to close the account ourselves.
In June 2024 a charge of €1188.00 was taken from our credit card. We asked for this amount to be refunded as we no longer use Hootsuite and had already asked for Hootsuite to close the account last year. I have sent multiple emails and haven't received a response.
When our accounts were set up in 2020 the charge was €367.00 so the charge has increased by 223% since then. Absolute disgrace. Avoid at all costs.
UPDATE 1st Aug: responded to Dayana on 29th July accepting refund and accepting that the account will be closed but still no response!
