SHAME FOR HOMEnFUN BARCELONA AND BAD REFERENCE FOR BOOKING
The worst experience ever with Homenfun Barcelona agency as well as with Booking.com attitude after we claimed it. Do not risk with any of them! We spent 4 nights in apartment in Carrer de la Diputacio, Barcelona. We paid full amount of €664 + €250 deposit. Immediately we’ve noticed broken bedroom bed. We claimed but they left us to sleep 4 nights on mattress on the floor. Option that they offered was not acceptable for us, to move by ourselves in cheaper and more distant apartment, but without any refund or help from their side (like taxi or returning back price difference). After leaving, we sent claim to Booking customer service, requesting total refund of this really bad hosting, but unexpectedly from Booking, we are ignored & served by robots. Now, we are wondering how Booking allows to have such agency and also how they protect their customers?

Complete scam…
This company supposedly manages apartments in Barcelona for short stays, but is a complete scam! They ask for a hefty deposit to be paid at check-in (outside of Airbnb or Booking) and find any excuse to keep the deposit. We informed them of things in the apartment that were malfunctioning (including structural things like a leaking heating that we never used), they thanked us and said all was ok and after a week when we asked to return the deposit, they pinned all on us and simply kept the deposit. No receipt, of course. Curiously enough they also “had to keep the deposit from the previous guests” and there are several reviews in the same sense! They come at check in to charge the deposit, but never at checkout to verify the house and make a return, if all fine. Because the deposit is charged outside of Airbnb or Booking, the platforms can’t intervene and the guest has no means to retrieve the deposit nor to seek support. Very unfortunate that fraudulent companies like this are allowed on Airbnb and Booking!
