Ordered a rug has not arrived

Ordered a rug has not arrived . I paid £263. Tried to call they just have an answer service . I wish I had read the reviews too . I’ve sent a dispute to my bank . Hopefully the bank will act . It’s a scam of a company. I want my money back . I can’t believe they are online and trading. Is this not criminal?

Utter disgrace!! AVOID!!!

Like the previous reviews, I wouldn’t even give them one star - they are the absolute pits. I ordered a rug, which never arrived, I chased using the contact form on the website, the email address and the contact number. After several chasers, I received a response stating that my rug was in transit, which it never was. I wasn’t given a tracking reference nor a delivery eta. I then requested a refund, have called them about this several times and sent numberpis emails - but no one is responding.

They’re an absolute joke, I just wish I’d read the reviews as I would have avoided at all costs. I think they’re a bogus operation!! Absolute shambles. Utter disgrace.

AVOID at all costs!

Firstly I wouldn't even give this company one star but I had to in order to write this review.
I ordered a white /cream rug from them, costing £230, in mid February. The rug was delivered within a few days but I could see before I opened the packaging that I'd been sent the wrong item. The rug was brown.. Oyster on the label. I immediately emailed them and attached photos, explaining what had happened. I received a reply saying their team would look into it. Almost a week later I received an email from them saying that I had received the rug I ordered! I emailed straight back saying this wasn't the case, attaching screenshots of my order and the rug I'd received. I asked them to initiate a returns form and heard nothing more. I sent numerous emails and also tried to phone them on the number which is shown on their website. This number was never answered no matter which time of day I tried. No answer phone to leave a message.
As I had paid via PayPal I eventually asked them to intervene. I was given an address to return the rug to at my own cost! By this point I was highly suspicious as this address was a residential property. I used the courier EVRI and had the return tracked and signed for, which cost me £18. I received photo proof of my rug delivered to the property. I heard nothing more,no refund so I escalated the case to a dispute with PayPal. Home Linen Store would not acknowledge the return, the deadline for the case came and went but thankfully PayPal have decided in my favour and issued a refund.
It has been extremely stressful, and its more than obvious that this 'company' are operating a totally irregular operation, seemingly from various addresses in Greater Manchester. The rug was actually delivered from a company with a different name, from Huddersfield.
I really do wish I had looked at the reviews for this company before I dealt with them and hope by writing this review I can save others the stress, hassle and expense that I experienced.
I was lucky to get a refund but others may not be. Please AVOID.

I wish I had checked the reviews before…

I wish I had checked the reviews before ordering a duvet cover. I initiated a return via their form online and have not had a response. I have also emailed them today.
Having seen the reviews here, I'm concerned I won't be able to return the product which was not the colour I wanted and requested return immediately. Order 1742 please initiate returns number.

AVOID THIS COMPANY

I purchased curtains from Home Linen Store and was extremely disappointed with the quality. Shortly after purchase, the curtains began to unravel, making them unusable.

I contacted the company multiple times to request a return and refund. After several attempts, I eventually received a response and was told someone would call me back. No call was ever made.

I sent several follow-up emails, which went unanswered. I then sent a formal written letter by recorded delivery, which was signed for, but received no response. A final notice was also sent and ignored.

I have since contacted Trading Standards and have seen multiple public complaints describing the same issue with product quality.

Despite following the full complaints process, I have received no correspondence and no refund. I am now pursuing the matter through the Small Claims Court and will be seeking recovery of the refund and associated costs.

rugs

I ordered a rug, on comment I put please make sure it is light blue, when it arrived it was navy. I must have made 100 calls to number and perhaps this number was answered 5 times, I also emailed loads of times and perhaps I had 10 back, it has taken nearly 4 weeks to get refund,
I would advise anyone who is going to order from this company to think twice.
Would never use again

Please be informed, as also clarified with proof in the emails, the order was received for the Navy rug, based on which the order was dispatched and delivered.
We do understand that you were unhappy to pay for the return, but as you can appreciate, we have offered Free delivery and can't provide free returns for unwanted or wrong items ordered.
As mentioned over the call yesterday, the return you made on 5th Nov was received back on the 7th Nov and has been refunded on 12th Nov. We are sorry for the disappointment. Thanks

Buy elsewhere

Bought curtains from Amazon & they came from this company. They used Evri to deliver & it was a complete debacle from start to finish. Advised twice it would be delivered that day but never arrived. Then advised it would be delivered on Tuesday, but actually came on Monday.

This is an awful company AVOID

This is an awful company, do not waste your money. I ordered some curtains they weren't the same colour as the website. I requested a return and almost 3 months later I haven't been given a refund. I have photographic evidence that the return reached them. I have sent numerous emails requesting my return with promises they'll issue it. After reading other reviews it looks like I won't be getting it. If I could give zero stars I would.

Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!

Ordered a rug through Amazon. Wrong item sent. Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! Tried for days to contact this company but they don't know how to answer a phone. Then when contact was forthcoming through Amazon they proceeded to give me the run around with labels collections a returns. Amazon were of no actual help and at this point I haven't got the item I ordered and after all the stress and time spent on this I feel I'll be lucky if I even get my monies back. Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!

Worst company in the UK

I wish I could give no stars but I can't. One of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. Advertise items that they don't have and then claim the courier has lost them. Send tracking numbers that are completely false. They give you a tracking number from DX who say they have never received your item. Then they give you an Evri tracking number and say the courier lost your item. When you speak to Evri they say the label was printed by Home Linens to get a tracking number and then Home linens cancel the label and never give the item to the courier. Customer Services offer a refund and then just completely ignore you. Had to do a chargeback via the bank and now have my money back. Home Linens are the worst company I have ever dealt with - they lure you in via an online discount and then when they have your money just scam you. Avoid at all costs.

Chancers - no morals

Order received with no problems but after returning an item I have had no refund within 2 weeks. The company do not answer their phone or emails. Refund received eventually after my bank got involved - an honest company would have refunded me much sooner. Would never use again

Liars and theives

Ordered a rug from these crooks on amazon market place. Was told it had been dispatched never arrived spoke with someone over phone was basically lied to told it was with courier but they didnt lnow anything about it. Will start refund process. Do Not use these crooks avoid at all cost

Highly unprofessional company

I ordered bedding through Amazon as they are one of their Marketplace sellers. Bedding was the wrong shade of green so returned for refund & was charged £4.02 postage. I thought this was a bit rich but they ignored my appeal. So went to Amazon who also appealed to Home Linens but they got ignored so Amazon refunded me under their A-Z guarantee. Home Linen Store reply on 19th February when I asked for p&p refund:-

I was charged £4.02 return postage which you subtracted from the return cost. I am not at all happy about that as it could have been

Highly suspicious Company

Placed an order, never received goods as never despatched. Emailed them twice, never answered. Phoned them countless times, never answered. Proceeding with claim against them.

I think this website is a scam

I think this website is a scam. I placed an order and was charged but received no order confirmation or any correspondence from the company. No goods were ever received. I had to claim my money back via PayPal. I would avoid
