Worst Customer Service Experience

My wifes is critically ill & we have 3 investment property insurance policies with Hollard, I am a director of the company that owns the policy and for 2 months I have been trying to get my details updated on the policy to make changes, I made a formal complaint & they have still not called me & or updated me where this is at. It is absolutely disgusting customer service & the service needs to be better when dealing with people going through difficult times.

Terrible insurance company

Terrible insurance company! If you have a home loan through cba choose your own insurance it's definitely worth the shop around! My mum has been left without a ceiling after it collapsed all they did was cover it with plastic and don't follow through with anything I don't see how this company is still running pathetic!

Minus 1 star if there was an option.

Minus 1 star if there was an option.

Excruciatingly slow process that has now taken months with added extremely slow communication.

Highly misinformed: added costs which were never mentioned before as a result of their changed plan/strategy to - You are now incharge of your damaged car and will deduct the cost occured from your claim from we will take your car to wreckers and settle your claim.

Worst insurance company I have ever…

Worst insurance company I have ever dealt with. Poor communication and keep you waiting for months. Denied repairs to a fallen ceiling after storm damage. Should not be allowed to operate in Australia. Don’t waste your time with them.

I was hit by someone that was insured…

I was hit by someone that was insured with Holland. The very next day they sent the debt collectors. There is no way in hell that the driver is in the right they know it and insist and want me to pay for it. I’m taking them to court for lying and wasting my time. Biggest rubbish that you can deal with. Sanjay the guy from the debt collection pretends that he is separate from them and just a collection agency. Lies and more lies. Just shameless scumbags

Quick to take your money, hopeless in getting back to you

2 months after my car was kamikazed by a rogue kangaroo, I'm still waiting for the insurance payout. Mind you, they've taken the car away and no matter what phone number or email address I use, I either never get through (record is 96 minutes on the phone listening to bad elevator music), nor do I get a return email. The customer service agents (when you get to talk to them) are great, and I feel for them as they're working with a broken system and management that doesn't care. It really is the worst company I've ever had to deal with. The icing on the cake is that they are the underwriters to a bunch of insurance companies like Seniors who provide good service but come claim time all that goodwill goes out the window.

ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE: AVOID, AVOID, AVOID.

Their roadside assistance is not even worth 1 star. My car wouldn’t start. Was asked to do try this and try that. After 15 minutes they finally said they’ll send someone out. 1 to 2 hours’ wait. After 2 hours I called and was told they are on location. I told them no and they argued the point. I mean, I’m with my car, I think I’d know if they’re here or not. After being put on hold I was told they’d be here in 10 minutes. After 15 minutes I get a call saying they’ll be here in 15. It’s been 3.5 hours and seen nobody yet. I will be going back to RAA.

Pitiful excuse for a company

Been dealing with this pitiful company since December 2023 trying to have our house fixed after the storm on Christmas night. They are by far the worst insurance company i have ever had the misfortune to deal with. 9 months of lies about waiting on reports, lies about people have to attend that have already attended, broken promises, failed payments. The attitude of the staff is horrendous you finally get through after hours to go no where and receive no help. Having a supervisor call back does not seem to be a thing.

I have tried to call to cancel policy…

I have tried to call to cancel policy and surprise suprise they are all off on a tea break or something.
Expected call wait time 8-12minutes ... 34 minutes later I am still on hold.
You deliberately make it difficult to get hold in hope people give up.
I am just as difficult and will wait and complain about this absolute waste of time.

Unbelievably hopeless and infuriating company

We made a claim for an identical problem to what had occurred 7 years ago (hot water system flooded). First time round it was remedied. That was under CommInsure but the same problem has recurred even though at that time CommInsure installed the hot water system. This time it is nearly a year since i put in the claim and it is nowhere near resolved - they cut a hole in our timber floor in the kitchen to 'make it safe' and covered it with slippery black plastic. So many hours spent waiting on the phone, they call and hang up within seconds then send an email asking for me to call back. I have spent so many hours on hold, explaining the situation time and time again - offered one cash settlement that was a joke and then another more than 3 times the amount - we don't want that - we want the situation resolved - we pay huge insurance - you can never speak to the same person - allege we haven't paid our excess even though we have bank record of it - an absolutely awful stressful experience - so unbelievably incompetent (except at taking your money). They expect us to be ok to have a join in
our timber flooring - very patronising on the phone. They fixed it last time so why not this time. When this is resolved (if ever) we will most certainly be switching insurance companies. I would give zero stars if I could.

I had my 16 month old battery replaced…

I had my 16 month old battery replaced with a 4 year old battery when they came to jump start it. I didn’t realise at the time til my son told me later when this battery died. Spoke to them but they denied it. I am 67 years old female recovering from 2 strokes, finally allowed to drive but can’t afford a new battery. I am going back to RACV if I can.

Does not deserve one star

Does not deserve one star, worst company to deal with, rude. Left hanging on phone, past from one person to another. No one seems to care. Will pay the lowest they can get away with even a claim that’s not your fault. Don’t give you a lot of confidence when someone finally calls you to apologise for the delay as they have been in undated with complaints. Hardly surprising.

This is a follow up to my last Hollard…

This is a follow up to my last Hollard Car Insurance review. After even more emails and phone calls asking me to verify that it was me that ran a red light and being fined by Police and in return, I again sending all correspondence relating to this incidence and telling them to verify from Vic Police themselves that I have never been issued with a fine, I finally got a phone call yesterday saying that they will discontinue their claim against me. In answer to their continual harrassment of me, I am changing my house Insurance that is with them to another company as I just don't trust them anymore.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. They openly blamed me for everything, and interestingly enough, two days later we found out it was their issue. No call, no email to apologise, and over the phone, they were adamant it was my fault.
