EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE WITH HODOPHILIA HOLIDAYS - SIKKIM TOUR SPOILED

Our family of 16 people (4 Couples & 8 Children) (16 members — 4 from Gujarat, 8 from Rajasthan, and 4 from UP) had planned a summer vacation to Sikkim from 24th May 2025 to 31st May 2025, and we booked a 7 nights / 8 days package with Hodophilia Holidays, including 3 Innova vehicles.

Despite sharing our train tickets and arrival details well in advance, and also informing the tour operator (Mr. Satyam Singh) and driver 2 hours before arrival, no vehicles were available at Siliguri Railway Station after a tiring 28-hour train journey. We were left waiting for 2 hours with family, children and luggage, and only after several calls and arguments, did they arrange an alternate vehicle. The driver casually said they’d arrive in “1 to 2 hours” — a very unprofessional start.

POOR HOTELS & MISLEADING PROMISES:-
Although they charged us for 3-star hotels, the actual quality was very poor, staff was rude, and the food was substandard. This continued throughout the trip.

CONSTANT DELAYS AND EXTORTION FOR ADVANCE PAYMENT:-
• On Day 2 (Nathula Pass trip), we were asked to be ready by 7:30 AM, but the vehicles arrived only at 9:00 AM, again causing unnecessary delays and arguments.
• On Day 3, the vehicle wouldn’t move until we paid the next advance, even though there was no internet connectivity and our whole family was inside the car waiting. After great difficulty, we managed to transfer the payment. (INKA POLICY EK BAAR PAISA ADVANCE ME LE LO, PHIR USKE BAAD KOYI PROPER ARRANGEMENT NAHI, AGAR AAP ARGUMENT KAROGE TO WO TOUR CANCELLED KARNE KI DHAMKI DETE THE)
• One of the drivers, who was supposedly a partner in the tour company, behaved very rudely, especially during toilet breaks for ladies or when someone vomited.

THREATS OF CANCELLATION:-
When we asked for any facility as they committed, they ready for arguments and after hot arguments, they threats for cancellation for further trip.
When we planned to move to Darjeeling for the last two days, he demanded full payment in advance. We requested to pay upon reaching, but he threatened to cancel the trip. Fed up, we had to go to the local police station to file a complaint. Unfortunately, he had connections, and no action was taken against him.

• Even in Darjeeling, the hotel quality was poor.
• The vehicles were changed daily, causing constant coordination problems.

Mr. Satyam (Tour Operator) has asigned one tour manager Mr. Athar Nawaz Hussain, he never picked up our calls, and later claimed he had a newborn baby and was sleeping during the day as he take care of newborn baby in night. Completely irresponsible behavior.

2 sightseeing points were cancelled without valid reasons, and not try to compensate with other sightseen.

"FINALLY WE CAN SAY":
This operator completely ruined our vacation. Their behavior was unprofessional, rude, and often threatening. Hodophilia Holidays is not trustworthy, and I strongly warn others NOT to book any trip with them.

We hope no other family has to go through what we experienced. Please NEVER NEVER NEVER book with Hodophilia Holidays. Total fraud and mismanagement.

☆☆☆ Pathetic & Fraud Travel Company – Stay Away!

I had the worst travel experience of my life with this company. We paid ₹42,000 for a full package that was supposed to include AC cab, clean hotels, and good facilities — but what we got was a complete scam.

The hotels were dirty, old, and absolutely unhygienic. They promised an AC cab, but gave us a non-AC cab and later charged ₹3,000 extra just to switch on the AC!

And the worst part? When we withheld the third installment due to their poor service, they informed our last hotel that we hadn’t paid — and told the hotel staff not to give us our room until we paid in full!

We had already checked in around 11:30 PM, and suddenly the hotel staff told us:
"Pay the full amount immediately or vacate the room by 12 midnight!"

Imagine the situation — we were traveling with our 2.5-year-old daughter in the middle of the night. We were literally forced to pay the entire pending amount on the spot just to keep a roof over our heads.

Even after all this mental torture, the company did not apologize. They just said, “We’ll give you a voucher next time,” and still went ahead and took an extra ₹3,000 for the AC cab.

➡️ This company is fraudulent, unprofessional, and shameless.
➡️ They loot customers, speak rudely, and destroy your entire travel experience.
➡️ PLEASE do not fall into their trap. If you're reading this, learn from our mistake.

If there was an option to give ZERO stars, I absolutely would.
