After much research I took my 300tdi to Hobson for a stripped engine to be fitted. After a tour of the site it was clear they were a serious Landrover outfit. The cost of engine and fitting was competitive and certainly not the most expensive quote I had. Comms during repair were daily giving me an update on progress and any extra parts needed . Now for the important bit. On collecting and paying balance Dave (Think Triggers brush) broke down only 10 miles away. This is where you really test a companies service. . Hobsons collected Dave. Dropped me to the station. Fixed the component failure. Fixed a number of non engine related issues as an apology and left me with a full tank of fuel. ( about £300 of extras including a new alternator) Have now driven over 500 miles with a smile back on my face. You can trust these guys which is the most important thing. If there are issues they fix them which when your car is in pieces on the workshop floor is crucial
