BE HONEST... They are not!!!

BE HONEST... if an item is shipping from China, make sure you inform a potential customer. If you do not make it clear, you need to change your cancelation policy. I wanted to cancel the order when I saw it was shipping from China but your policy says you can not cancel after it ships, very dishonest as you don't know it is shipping from China after the 24 hour cancel policy. I will not purchase your items in the future fearing they ship from China!!!

If you buy shoes from this company they will not fit, be poorly made and you will not be able to return them or gain a refund. Absolutely atrocious customer service.

Honestly I have never interacted with a worse company. I bought two pairs of shoes. Despite sizing up 1 and a half sizes, the shoes were still quite small. They were also poorly made and extremely uncomfortable. I have been battling with them to return the shoes for a refund for 6 weeks now. They did everything they could to try and give me a partial refund. When I did eventually get the returns address for their warehouse in Germany, I followed their postage instructions completely (and paid £15 for tracked and signed for delivery) and there was no one at the warehouse to accept the package. They are now refusing to rearrange delivery on their end (I cannot do this as the sender) and still refusing to issue my refund, despite the problem being completely their own. So I am now down the price of two shoes and £15 postage.

Appalling

Appalling. I'm just about to return shoes they sent that are the wrong size. I ordered correctly but received shoes that are too small. I am expected to incur the cost to return the shoes to Germany despite the error being theirs. They are based in China, not the UK. And the ludicrous offers they made to try and get out of refunding me much at all. I suspect the only reason I will be getting any part refunded is because I've raised a dispute with paypal. Avoid. Absolutely the worst service. I'd give zero if that were possible.

Updating to add I've sent the shoes back, tracked postage and I still have not had a refund issued. PayPal has also pushed back the resolution date!

I wished I read these reviews before…

I wished I read these reviews before purchasing.
Shoes arrived in good time, however the sizing is completely off. Bought a 39 (UK size 6) for my son, as soon as I took them out of the packaging they looked small so I tried them on and they were too small for me (UK size 5), so I would say the sizing is around 2 sizes smaller. They look and feel very cheaply made and the soles are made out of a stiff plastic which feels like it will crack with a bit of movement. Haven't even tried to return yet, but I'm not hopeful looking at these reviews. £45 lesson learnt I suppose.

The sizes run small dispite following the size guidelines. Trying to return them for a refund... received no return address or offer of refund available. AVOID!
Purchase from a company in the uk and be happy to support UK instead of Hobibear/China corruption.

No delivery, no refund

The delivery did not arrive. The courier tells me to talk to the retailer, HObibear tells me I need to obtain some kind of proof from the courier company. The courier company refuse to do so as they informed the retailer. Also whoever is on this customer service clearly sitting in China. This ping-pong is not customer friendly at all. Very disappointed.

Worst experience I've had buying online

I wish I had read these reviews before I bought these shoes. I have had exactly the same experience as others have said here. The skies are made of a horrible synthetic that makes your feet really hot and sweaty. I usually have cold, dry feet but these make my feet really uncomfortable.
You basically can't return the shoes, despite what they say on their website return policy. I believe this is misrepresentation at best and fraud at worst. The cost of returning the shoes to Germany is more than their value.
Only buy these shoes if you are happy to waste your money if you don't like them or can't wear them for any reason.

This Company is Dishonest

This company is just plain dishonest. I bought shoes that were not sewn correctly and cause extreme pain due to the rough seams. I sent pictures to the company and they suggested I sell them to my friends and they would provide 15% of the purchase price. Their two responses to my issue are insulting!

Uncomfortable shoes which can’t be returned

I bought some shoes which look good but for me are not comfortable. The uppers are stiff and they are more restrictive than other barefoot shoes I have tried.
I tried to return them but the only option is to post to Germany with a specific courier which costs more than the shoes. I ended up accepting a 30% refund and voucher towards another pair (which I won’t use).
Basically you can’t return them so if they don’t fit you’re stuck with them,

Cheap, plastic, and no real returns policy

They delivered the wrong colour. Nightmare of a returns policy that I couldn't even face getting around to resolving after weeks of emails. They offered 15% as compensation but I wanted to return them. It tooks weeks to get an address in Germany and it would have cost me a small fortune to guarantee they would get there.

Website looks like they have a UK base but they don't.

Don't waste your money and time on Hobibear.

This company is awful

This company is awful. The shoes are cheap and when you try to get a refund they will keep stalling by saying they are waiting to receive the shoes back at their warehouse. I sent the tracking number and I also tracked the shoes and they were delivered. Again I emailed them and I am still getting the same response. I will be contacting my bank and dispute the charge. Do not buy unless you want to be dissatisfied and completely screwed out of your money!

Difficult to return them

The shoes are Ok but not great, if you try and return them they make it very difficult and tell you how expensive it will be and you should sell them to your friends!! So I ended up being stuck with both pairs I ordered.

Love their shoes. They are very well made, last a long time and hold up well to constant abuse. My orders have always been correct and I'm kept well informed on the status of them. They are worth the wait!

Got 2 pairs of different styles

Got 2 pairs of different styles. The TULLE style fits great, but the CLOVER style has too much space above my foot. It "fits" when my foot is on the ground, but when I lift my foot, it is no liner touching bthe bottom of the shoe.

Contacted customer service to return the shoes, but just had the run around for 2 months. "There is nothing wrong woth thr shoes, they are just not suitable for you". Over and over. Would not acknowledge my questions and had to ask them several times. Would ask if the shoes were designed to have the gap above the foot, because if not, then it is a manufacturing defect. And kept getting that same answer.

They even contradicted themselves saying "everyone says they fit great". Then saying "the shoes are for those with a high instep". And nowhere in the description did it mention anything about a different fit.

Told them that if the shoe was designed to have the gap or if it was a manufacturing defect, either way it was their fault that the shoes did not fit, as I would not have gotten them if the description mentioned the"high instep design".

Then they started telling me that I needed to return the shoes, but they do not pay for return shipping.

AVOID

AVOID - Worst company to deal with, sent the wrong size I ordered 2 x pairs both wrong and then expect customer to pay returns to Germany for their miss pick of items. £30 spent returning and the address they gave me rejected the package. They also said the below regarding order number being on the package - written on the address, otherwise the warehouse cannot identify the goods and will destroy them directly. If they are destroyed, we cannot give you a refund.

So they have free roam to act how they want. Impossible to ever get a refund it’s a con.
