I am very impressed with the harness I bought for my autistic 4 year old who has no danger awareness. We have been able to enjoy many walks together and trips to the shop. It's very easy to put on him, even if he struggles. Would recommend.

Having Autism and non-verbal, can be unpredictable and break free from hands and bolt off. These Hobbledehoo reins are so reassuring. I bought some specialist ones but there were so many straps that i was scared to use them, but these & I am in love. Other people have noticed that I walk beautifully with my Respite Care Provider and skips as well. I like that I have that little bit of freedom but knowing at the same time that if it tugs on me because my skipping or walking too fast, it means I can't go further and it slows me down. No more running off. When crossing roads, it has a handle strap at the back that you can hold, rather than the reins itself, so I can't walk into the road. Brilliant and reassuring product and highly recommend to those with ASD children.

The Hobble Shop Children’s Harness has truly changed our lives. My child is autistic and, before this, outings were overwhelming and unsafe. I was always terrified of him bolting, eloping, or hurting himself in a split second. Because of that, I often avoided going out at all.

Now, with this harness, I finally feel like we can safely go places together. It gives him the freedom to walk and explore without me worrying every moment about his safety. The design is sturdy yet comfortable, and he tolerates it so well. It’s clear that a lot of thought went into making it both secure and gentle for children like mine.

For the first time in a long time, I feel more confident taking him into the community, knowing the risk of him running off or getting hurt is so much lower. The Hobble Dehoo Harness hasn’t just given my son security—it’s given our whole family freedom. I can’t recommend it enough to other parents who know the unique challenges of keeping a child safe while still letting them enjoy the world.

I recently ordered a hobbledehoo harness for my toddler as his desire for independence directly conflicted with his lack of danger awareness. The website said there was a 15-20 day turnaround for international orders, (I ordered from Canada), so they suggested I check out Amazon for quicker shipping and possibly a cheaper price. In fact, the Hobbledehoo website was far less expensive than what Amazon Canada was offering, so I ordered direct and much to my shock, received the harness in 5 days.

Aside from the super fast shipping, the harness is well made, comfortable, quite adjustable (which comes in handy for expanding the lifespan of its use), and above all, effective.
I like that there are also little handles on the front and back for quick restraint if the leash isn't in use.

I would recommend this product for any caregiver who has an adventurous child with zero danger awareness and the recall of a fruit fly.

What an amazing product…perfect for my escape artist 4 year old! Very high quality, lots of little details that have just been well thought through. My son always hated any form of harness or anything that ‘holds him back’ but he accepts this no problem. I was reluctant to invest in anything based on how he had been in the past but I had so many recommendations of this product so gave it a go and so glad that we did. Excellent customer service too!
