Placed an order after a price reduction, only for it to be cancelled a few days later due to supposed lack of stock. I'm unsure as to how true this is or whether the reduction saw more demand than they wanted. Either way it's poor customer service and not the first time this has happened by the sounds of things.

I pre ordered Mortal Kombat 1 which was the cheapest price I could find.
I have been buying from Hit from the days they were known as base.com and bought many bargain videogames from them.

Waste of time company. Listed a PS5 game at an unbeatable price but clearly had no stock. Registered, gave them all my personal and bank details to successfully order, only to get a cancellation email the next day. Amateurs.

If I could give these guys six stars I would, pre orders always arrive on time and their communication is excellent. I wouldn't order my games through anyone else as the prices are the most competitive out there. 🙏

Ordered a game and they cancelled it without notifying. They responded later saying they oversold the product and had no alternative but to cancel. The game I bought was on offer on hotukdeals and it a lot of people have had the same experience.

I've been shipping at Hit from when it was called Base. Prices always seem noticeably cheaper than anywhere else — so much so that I was first worried it was a scam. It's not; I've got about 10 games over the years. All are delivered on time too.

Poor. The company is a shambles. Theres a reason they rebranded. No successful reputable company changes its name. Just means they're hiding from something.

Similar story to below but how can you have buyer confidence in a company that sells items they don't intend to fulfil. I ordered early saturday morning and by late saturday there was still stock left yet they claim no stock and it was first come first serve yet no one ive spoken to online (yes we talk) has had an order fulfilled. The reality of it is, If it was true as they claim that they didn't have stock then 1.) the item shouldn't have been sold from there inventory manager. I work for a company smaller than this and we have an inventory management system that wouldn't allow the items to be sold past the stock. 2.) they would offer a solution to this in the form of waiting for the stock to come in or offer a discount or money off next order type deal but instead they've lied through there teeth and the companies reputation will never recover. Someone from this ‘family run business’ has clearly made an error and they’ve realised far to late and have had to mass cancel all orders.

The fact they're also now pretending to be a small family run company is a big fat lie and they clearly think we’re stupid as thats all on public records. A quick google shows thats false.

Thats the only good thing to come from this is the fact they will realise it never pays to lie to your customer. If we don't stand up for our consumer rights written in law these companies will continue to take advantage of us. Because of the shambles of this happening (not for the first time i might add) Ive also asked for my account info to be deleted.

Quick and easy to order my item. When I had a query, the customer service team where very helpful!

The dvd arrived sealed and brand new. It's intended as a Christmas gift so unable to give reaction until the recipient replies.But very satisfied with the transaction.

Cracking deal on Star Wars on ps5, purchased and 3 days later its a canceled no email at all, so I emailed them with a reply from them saying,

We cannot fulfil as we do not have any stock, you were emailed about the cancellation - I'm sorry if that email had not reached you yet or has gone to your Junk folder.

We are a small family company and we do try but unfortunately sometimes things do not go our way.

In this instance we had limited stock and this deal price was put live automatically by our systems at 5am.

This deal was then posted by a number of people to various forums and deals platforms.

As the price was extremely low, this resulted in unprecedented demand and caused us to massively oversell.

As this was outside of our normal working hours (Mon-Fri 9am to 5pm), this was not picked up on fast enough.

This meant unfortunately, we have no alternative but to cancel the orders.

We are actively trying to prevent this kind of overselling but due to the way the internet works it is surprisingly difficult.

Please accept my apologies for the inconvenience caused.

It’s not the first time, won't bother purchasing from these guys anymore, just wasting time and effort.

Joke of company. Another cancelled order (at the lower price) citing no stock, and now immediately available at the higher price. I will never use the company again!

Amazing retailer for buying video games. I bought the Premium Edition of Moetal Kombat 1 on PS5 for a cheaper than other retailers were charging for the standard edition. Delivery was on time and customer service was excellent in answering queries I had about pre order bonuses and accessing the beta. Would 100% use thus retailer again!

Game came one day early to release date, and very fast shipping pre orders done right as you should get the game one day early for pre ordering feels like the old days!!!
