The absolute worst

The absolute worst! Submitted documents 10/18. Nothing until 11/06 and they need more information. I feel this is making me look bad because the required information was sent weeks ago. Will my employer think it is me that is delaying the process? Contacted customer service, they said the form that I needed to submit must be completed in full or it will be rejected. However, the customer service rep could not help me complete the form! I was told by the rep to submit the form, even with the missing information. I am sure I will be back here in another 2-3 weeks trying to submit the form again.

I have been waiting since 10/04/2024…

I have been waiting since 10/04/2024 for my check to be completed. I had to reach out and request an update and that is when the agent I spoke with decided to escalate the matter. I’m not confident they will get it done in the time period they gave me which is 48 business hours since I was the one who had to initiate the request. Major companies use this organization and they should not be trusted. I’ve already had my starting date pushed back once and I’m not confident they will get the review completed by my next starting date. It’s impossible to get a hold of them and to login and review my background check consists of me having to reset my password every single time. I hope I never have to experience this lackluster company again.

The score on this page says it all. What more can I add.
This is an ongoing issue, I am three weeks in and still waiting for a background check to finish. I supplied the same documents as the ones I supplied when I was applying for citizenship. But for these people is not enough. They asked me for an address in another country that I haven't lived in for 13 years! This is the level of understanding of this company that resembles a circus.

I am now almost at the verge of resigning from the process and I would like them to see what they will explain to their customer. I was selected after a rigorous process that included lots of interviews and more than 200 candidates. And they are asking for irrelevant stuff, thus delaying my hiring.
What else can I say.

Worse company

This company is pathetic with poor customer service. It's impossible to get a call—no one reaches out via phone, text, or email. You have to constantly check the platform yourself to see if there are any updates. They ask for repetitive documents, and it feels like you're doing their job for them.

I am currently in a background check…

I am currently in a background check with them and I have been waiting for a month plus 2 weeks...I think I will file a complaint through BBB, and get the state attorney..it is ridiculous, they are playing with people's lives.... Everything I call, it is the same thing, they are waiting for a county...Come on .. I am still waiting. And do not tell me to contact you guys because I did multiple times....

No customer service, Lazy

Update : After uploading yet another document I was assured that it was all that was needed and case will be closed in 48hrs. We shall see as I have the emails with all the request and guarantees just in case. You literally could not make this situation up.

If you are a company thinking of using HireRight DON'T, customer service does not exist.
I was asked for documents which I uploaded and no progress at all on background check. After calls and emails still no progress, avoid at all cost and Google their reviews.

I'm mad i had to give them 1 star. This is a negative star company and should be shut down. They don't even do their job, they want you to do the background check for them.
I'm not even going to waste my time with a lengthy review. If you see a company that uses hireright..run away. I can only hope they get shut down for whatever reason can be found.

Worst customer service ever

Update: Just to reply to HireRight response, they reached out to me only after I left this review, which is insane but again, I'm glad because that's how I found out about these reviews and how unprofessional they are. I moved forward with another company of course.

I’ve been waiting for over 4 days to get a quote from this company and now that I see all these reviews I’m glad they haven’t still reached back. Won’t be moving forward with them at all.

This is not a real company- be aware of personal data!

This is not a real company, this is spammers that take money from companies to do background check which is never done! I provided them all information they asked me for, and for 2 months they did nothing , and I have lost my job offer . Now I am worried that thay will use my personal informations provided. If you start a job process through this company reject it because they don’t do any background check, they will just take all your personal informations.

The background screening company was completely ineffective. I don't understand why companies like Microsoft rely on such unreliable services for background checks. My offer was revoked because of inaccurate information they provided to Microsoft. Despite me providing all the necessary documentation to clarify the situation, Microsoft still chose to trust the screening company without further review.

A complete disaster.

A complete disaster.
Had to provide the same information multiple times.
My contact barely spoke English and so understanding what was required was very difficult.
When things were required no one contacted me, I only found out by logging on to the portal.
They tried to contact the new employer to ask for a reference from the old employer.
They refused to accept my email address for their systems because it didn't end in .com or .co.uk, but they emailed me to tell me this.
The whole process is a joke, what a waste of time!

If I can leave a zero I would. This is by far the worst company to run a background check. They don’t send email updates and stop companies from actually finding talent. I actually sent all my tax documents to prove I was self employed for 8years and additional emails of sales to prove I was legitimate. And to not get the job because of this BS Company can’t even do their own job. I hope this company gets boycotted for ruining others opportunities.
