East London Dance’s free HipHop first Ever
I joined East London Dance’s free Hip Hop Foundation workshop on 12 July 2026, and it was my very first dance class.
My pain management team advised me to keep stretching and stay active, so I decided to give dance a try. I arrived feeling shy and nervous because I didn’t know how to dance—I just love music.
From the moment I walked in, everyone made me feel welcome. The staff, volunteers, and brilliant dance instructors created such a friendly, supportive, and encouraging atmosphere that I quickly felt at ease.
The classes were so much fun. I did my best, moved my body with joy, burned plenty of calories, and, most importantly, forgot about my pain, stress, and worries for a while. It reminded me that movement can be healing as well as enjoyable.
I was also lucky enough to win the referral prize, which included lovely goodies, a T-shirt, and a month’s free class pass. That was such a wonderful surprise and made the experience even more special.
A heartfelt thank you to the entire hip hop community and everyone at East London Dance for making this opportunity possible. Your kindness, generosity, and support make a real difference, especially for people like me who live with chronic pain and mental health challenges. I truly appreciate everything you do and would highly recommend these workshops to anyone, whether you’re an experienced dancer or a complete beginner like me.

Highly Recommend, Amazing Classes!
I can't recommend these classes highly enough, they are such great quality and the team is super supportive and helpful. I love the classes so much and the environment is always supportive, they make dance classes more accessible for someone like me who can't always access certain styles. I would highly recommend to anyone!
Fun and friendly
Fun and friendly, would definitely recommend it to anyone specially to beginners as they support you a lot.
Hiphoptohelp fantastic
The crew are great always on hand when you get to the venue. They make classes available to those that either can’t afford to go or would like try a certain style of dance without having to commit. They bring in great instructors. The vibes in the classes are absolutely off the hook. They make everyone welcome from beginner to advanced. If you haven’t danced before or you’re looking to try a style of dance that you’ve never done before this is for you. Looking forward to the next one :-)

very welcoming and had such a fun time
Fun hip hop as always
This is my second time to do hip hop with Hip Hop to Help on 2 March 2026. It has always been fun and you learn something each time. The staff are so welcoming and you can feel their positive vibes all throughout the session. The guest instructor (Louis Lewinson) was also nice and his choreography was fire. He broke down the steps even to the latecomers to make sure that they weren’t left out. I had a great time (in fact all those who came) and thank you team for organising! 🙂
Very fun and great atmosphere
Very fun and great atmosphere! Friendly and helpful staff, would definitely recommend!
Hip Hop to Help - 5 Stars
The class was very well taught very clear and inclusive for all ranges and ages. I loved it and can’t recommend enough. I felt great after the class was buzzing with achievement and joy - everyone is so friendly too
The atmosphere was incredibly…
The atmosphere was incredibly welcoming, particularly for my friend who has learning challenges. The instructor provided great support to everyone, regardless of their skill level. While the routine felt a tad quick, I believe that's more due to my inexperience and age.

This charity is fantastic because it…
This charity is fantastic because it provides me with the opportunity to participate in dance classes that I usually couldn't afford or might find too challenging. The instructors are amazing at simplifying the lessons, making them suitable for everyone, regardless of age or skill level. I've taken part in numerous sessions, ranging from dancehall to hip hop and Brazilian funk, and I've enjoyed every single one. The locations are always convenient as well. I wholeheartedly suggest giving one of their classes a shot.
